November 2023 to June 2024. The company failed to meet up to their name "Trusted". They breached agreements and contract at evry stage and refused a refund of my deposit..Given the number of similar complaints they should be brought to account with a Class action

In April I signed a contract for a move with them and then needed to cancel. I did so within the required timeframe to receive a 50% refund. They committed this to me via email from *****************************, copying ****, who I presume might be a manager. It's now a month later and I have not received the refund. I tried calling numerous times and left messages when no one answered, both at ******'s number and the main number. I sent multiple emails asking for the status and received no reply. I called the person who originally booked my order and the number had been discontinued. I even sent a LinkedIn message to the *** of this company! This is obviously a scam of innocent people. The 50% refund was a joke in itself, as it was two months out and they had done no work, but I'm not even getting that. I want my money back!!

This business has gone back on what they have said multiple times the company pushed our time multiple times and ended up arriving at 1 AM. Then the next day it got moved back again and again the truck broke down. The truck required more maintenance and it kept pushing the time back again and again the company is not working with us on trying to settle reimbursement for their break of contract theyve had us signed two contracts, and they are sent in links which we sign and are no longer open on our side. We can no longer have access to view them the number that we were first in contact with was in charge of DOD moves department of defense and we are now blocked from his number we cannot call him. We cannot receive calls from him and he has not reached back out to us. Weve called the headquarters. They said that we cant get a hold of him its not in his control anymore, even though he was the person he said wed be talking to the entire move. Weve talked to three different employees. Weve talked an inventory manager. We talked to DOD guy. Weve talked to customer representative, and neither of the three will work with us on what is going on and how they are breaking their side of the contract. We are no longer able to access the contract and we cannot go over the dispute with them that we have that they promise they would do. The link is invalid and, it says contact customer support and at this time we are not doing contact with them.

After contacting this moving company ironically going by the name of Trusting Moving and Storage. I itemized every item to be uploaded and moved to my new location. Having given a $500.00 personal check deposit. I had no choice but to cancel the move on the scheduled day when the trucking company told me the price for those exact items I had gotten priced for that they would have cost me more than double. At that point I felt I was being scammed and could not possibly trust them anymore to continue with the move. They said the contract states that you cannot cancel last minute and that I would have lost my deposit.Had they honored the contract I would have never cancelled the move. They run a very shady business, they first lure you with lower cost and when people have their back against the wall because now moving day came and most people have to move they **** up the price to at least double the amount imposing that people either pay it up or loose their cash deposit. Mind you they refused to accept credit card deposit.Im simply requesting for you to help me get my $500.00 deposit back. Please help me to get it back. Im an 84 year old women living on fixed income where every ***** counts. Thanks in advance.*****************************************

Customer booked for 286 of cubic feet based on the items that were listed on the agreement. The carrier estimate the space to be a little more than the 286 cubic feet of space due to some items being bulky and additional items, the customer called and our CS explained that she can stick with the original amount of space and price, or pay for the increase that she now had. ******** refused and stated she will simply take it up with the BBB, rather than proceeding with her relocation with the carrier.

I am rejecting this response because: clearly this company is a complete and utter fraud of a company.  The person who I spoke to when I booked the job, *******************, never mentioned that I needed a specific square footage for the itemized items that I needed to transport, he actually told me that one third of the truck was for my belongings.I gave specific items ,size and specific dimensions, the contract which I cannot pull up in my emails anymore they made sure they made it disappear, specifically described item by item that was to be picked up. There were no surprises for the trucking company to add to the list. They are lying!!

******************* who now I came to understand was the sale broker, he lures people into signing a contract by low balling the price, promising so many additional services like packing for free, putting your stuff in storage for free if your moving place would not be ready , erc etc. he makes you pay by personal check and not credit card for the deposit and then disappears! I could not get in touch with him after that ! It was as if the number got disconnected. Only to leave us poor  people who got scammed to deal with the fraudulent transaction with the trucking company who will not honor one iota of what the contract says.

The trucking company is in it of course. They, double at the very least the price, in the hopes that now most movers have no choice but to move and will pay anything theyre asked to only because theyre backs are against the wall. At that point their recourse is that the contract states that you cannot cancel last minute and one would lose the deposits as a result.

My comment has been, if the trucking company would have honored the contract that I had signed I would have never had to cancel. At that point did not trust them in the very least and would not entrust my belongings to such a scam of a company.

I think I deserve to get my $500.00 back. This company doesnt deserve to be in business and continues scamming innocent people like me. They need to be shut down immediately!  I looked them up on Yelp for their reviews after the fact, stupidly on my part, and all the reviews hundreds of them sound like me. Being taken advantage of and having gotten scammed.

BBB please help getting my money back.

    Thanks

I set up a moving estimate on line for my son. I received a call from Trusted Moving and Storage LLC, ****************. He wanted the inventory of the move. I told ***** that the inventory was similar to a 16-foot truck with a washer and dryer added. I signed it electronically and returned the contract to *****. The contract had relocation estimate of 286cf for the volume. I looked up the volume of a 16 ft tuck and it was 800+ cf. I called back and spoke with ***** to have it changed. ***** said, the relocation details were computer controlled. He said, he could not change that side but was able to input a 1000 cf on the right side of the agreement, relocation estimate. He input on the relocation estimate 1000 cf and the price was adjusted 1 ***** on a second contract sent to me by *****. I tried signing the contract and it stated that the contract was already signed. This can be demonstrated Today; April 15th I received a call from **** at Trusted Moving and Storage that the estimate was wrong based on the inventory my son gave to them. I explained to **** the second contract was done. **** had both contracts but only the one signed contract. The electronic signature on the second agreement stated, the contract was already signed. The Company wants to charge over a thousand dollars more.I want the price honored for the second agreement that when I went to sign electronically stated the contract was already signed. My belief is that **************** the contract under the first agreement that was already signed. This prevented the agreement from resigning. Trusted Moving and Storage has both agreements but states they have only one signed agreement. I do not control the computer system at Trusted Moving and Storage LLC.

I have attached the estimate that shows this customer signed for a standard 1 bedroom without inventory for 286 cubic feet. When we spoke to the customer to retrieve the detailed inventory requested by the carrier the inventory exceeded the amount of 286 cubic feet. The only thing this customer signed off for his move is 286 cubic feet. THIS CUSTOMER HAS YET TO BE PICKED UP, ALSO THIS CUSTOMER HAS NOT CANCELLED THIER MOVE. Which is odd for them to leave a negative review as we have made no changes prior to pickup, if the customer wishes to cancel, they can email *******************************

We look forward to servicing your move regardless of the baseless review.

Signed and gave a deposit of $1300 on 3/24/24. Pick up date for my belongings was set for 3/27-3/28 of 2024. Actual pick up was performed on 3/29/24. Was told by the contracted mover they hired to move my stuff that this was a scam. Originally booked for 722 cubic feet of space and one mid size vehicle (2018 audi qs5) for a total of $4700. Was told by *********************** that loading the back of my truck with fragile items was ok and that he would personally do the same. Upon pick up of my car I was forced to pay an additional $300 for this or they wouldnt take my car. The mover immediately requoted the move to 1100 cubic feet and charged me an additional $3075 before they would load anything. I packed everything and disassembled all large items. I was over on my claims by exactly 20 medium size boxes, 9 medium size totes, two five foot tall Christmas decorations and a large pot. After two trips to storage with my belongings the pot and 17 totes were ultimately left behind. I was then told that I had over 2000 cubic feet of goods stored. *************************** it would take 7-10 business days to deliver. After 14 total days it was finally delivered by a driver and two helpers who were hired the previous day on ********** per them. Nothing was secured in the moving truck for a 2100 mile trip. I paid an additional $3116 to have my stuff unloaded. Most of it is damaged beyond repair and some of it is just missing. I am no longer able to get the contract and ***************************** is refusing to respond to email or calls for a copy. The houses I moved to and from were also damaged in the process. I have information to make a claim on my stuff but looking at many of the reviews here I wont get anything out of it but an extremely small offer and Ill be helpless to do anything about it. This business practices fraudulent tactics and takes advantage of vulnerable people.

First, this customer spoke with our CS manager on 4/15 and several other dates. Attached is the signed contract for 722 cubic feet of items with specific details of said move. The auto transport was set with a separate company as the move. The customer had additional items and took up additional space causing the carrier to increase the rate. Again we are the broker, not the carrier. All claims and files were sent to the customer at their request in order them to file a claim for any damaged or lost items as the customer states they are experiencing.

I am rejecting this response because: I was told that putting things in the back of the truck was perfectly acceptable by *********************** and that he actually recommended doing so. Upon receipt of my vehicle I am surprised with an additional $300 charge for doing so.

Please feel free to explain how the estimating process for cubic foot storage could be as inaccurate as 1400 cubic feet when the additional items added up to 20 medium sized boxes changing the number from 100 to 120. Then to top that all off many of my items were simply left for me to deal with personally

sure seems to be some conflict with the math. Also it is very inconvenient that the person who put all of this together and made these statements is never again reachable when all of this is taking place or thereafter. Seems like bad business practice to me at a minimum.

I did not hire a moving company. I hired YOU. You hired said moving company so you are responsible for the actions taken (and not) by the people YOU hired. Stop passing the buck.

the insurance was never explained or offered to me, I was given a stack of papers feathered out to where the sign here line was the only thing visible and I made the mistake of thinking the movers you sent operated with a little integrity. I was wrong. Therefore after YOUR movers failed to secure what little they didnt forget to move for me I will be stuck with the bill on THOUSANDS in damages and lost goods. That is on top of the DOUBLED price tag I was quoted due to your poor estimating skills. Your performance was a very far cry from your promises as a business and you simply do not want to own your work as seen by the many numerous complaints here and on every other forum available. All of which sound very similar in nature.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

On Feb. 12, 2024, I entered into a binding agreement with Trusted Moving and Storage to move my household goods from ******, ** to South ********, **. We signed this document and sent them the deposit based on 5005 pounds of goods and the description of what was being stored that needed to be moved. We asked several times if there would be any additional charges and were guaranteed there would not be. We called several times to determine who to write the cashier's check to but did not receive a call back from the company until 6 business days before pick up. The window to cancel the order closed 10 business days before pickup. On 4/9/24, they called and stated that it would take 1115 cf to pack 5005 lbs. and that the charges are based on $3.50 per cf. As you can see in the estimate, we were originally told 715 cf. This increased the cf by 400 cf and $1400. At this late stage, we have not option but to use this company because we cannot get our deposit back nor do we have time to reschedule someone else. This is not the way our military members should be treated!

    Business Response

    Date: 04/10/2024

After reviewing your file- you have not yet been picked up yet. Your estimate is for 5005 pounds or 715 cubic feet. If you are going to add any packing service or items it increases the price. Leaving a negative review on BBB before we even pick you up or before you even cancel is an odd thing to do. We still look forward to servicing your job with the ORIGINAL estimate that you initially signed for without making adjustments. The only  party who had tried to make changes to your estimate is you, not us.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/10/2024

For clarification this is the original estimate, It states 5005 pounds of 715 cubic feet, ****************** informed our quality assurance department that last time he moved he used a "full truck" which is not this amount of weight or space, when presented with the new price for a full truck, they requested to stay with the original estimate. Also when attempted to go over a thorough inventory on the front end, the customer informed our sales rep that, "all we need is 5000lbs" how he came up with this weight is not for me to configure but the customer insisted that is what he had.... again multiple records between ****************** and his wife occurred with customer service, so again I am not sure why this review exists..

    Customer Answer

    Date: 04/22/2024

The information from the business is not true. The original estimate, which was supposed to be binding (see attachment), was based on the number the sale's person gave us. We told him the biggest items that we were shipping from an inventory list as well as the total weight from that inventory. The sales rep is the one who said it would not be necessary to go through the inventory exactly or send it to him. We explained that we had several large pieces of woodworking equipment. The goods had been packed and stored by the military when we moved overseas, so we had an exact inventory and weight. He calculated the 715 cubic feet, not us. Then when we were down to six days before moving, the representative arranging the pickup re-calculated the cubic feet to 1100 and said the new price (increased by $2500) was based on cubic feet, not weight. He had the same list of items and weight as we gave the sales person. Because of the increased price, we said we didn't want to do it and wanted a refund. He told us it was too late to get a refund. Then he called back and said that they would move it based on the original quote, but if it was more than 715 cubic feet, we wouldn't be able to ship the extra or would have to pay the difference.

Before we signed the contract, I asked numerous times if there would be any additional charges or fees added a pick up or drop off and was assured there would not be. We also told the sales representative that we were on a tight timeline because we were flying back from ***** to meet the movers and driving across country to meet the movers on the other end. We were assured that they would pick up on time, but they needed one day as a cushion. We agreed to that one day. We were told that it would take 5-6 days to deliver our goods. When the movers arrived at the storage unit, after the storage company had taken everything out of the unit (which they charged us $250 to do), the trucking company said they needed an additional $2500 to expedite the shipment. They stated that otherwise it would take 21 days to get it there. We denied the shipment. Who knows what they would have charged to get our belongings out of the truck on the other end. It is an extremely untrustworthy, unscrupulous company. It is clearly intentional that they have one representative to make the sale and another to arrange the shipment, and that they planned all along to increase the price in whatever way they could. I would like to get my refund back. However, they have already denied that. At this point, I want every potential customer to know what a scam this company is, so that they do not get ripped off too. Especially the military--when we are living overseas away from our families to help keep America safe, and they take advantage. Shame on them!

I had retained this company initially to do my move out interstate from ******* to *******. I informed them initially approximately and I was given initial estimate of $1800 total to which I paid over $800 as a deposit. Pack out was to be a month later With dates given in the contract. They indicated that they were going to have a quality assurance and if they needed to revise the contract at that time that. They did a quality review and at that time they identified for a second time the large items, and I initially sent them over what I considered the large items, and during the phone calls with them I indicated I had a motorcycle. I had to figure out how to wait to transport my motorcycles, and they said That , they had the ability to transport a motorcycle and identified that it was a Harley ******** glide and how much would it be for them to transport the motorcycle and I was told $400. Knowing how much it would be, and how much it cost for the motorcycle to come up from ******* to Georgia that seemed a reasonable price for Transport to transport a motorcycle. the total cost at that time went up from $1800 to approximately $4000 and I had to pay another $1200 deposit which I went ahead and did but at this time they had identified the large items both through an email and through a phone conversation. Come to find out the moving gate. The people wanted me to do it a day before and I couldnt do that and so the following day when it was on the day of the move-in they come in and say that they didnt want $8000 and this is before they even Did any of the moving the packaging or anything like that claiming that they didnt know they had to pack my items. Then, physically packing any of my items was not on the order. The truck they rented from Enterprise did not meet the ability to transport the motorcycle nor did they have the staff to do the packing and move out and they left without doing any work. Photos are available but too lrg to upload

************* was the carrier assigned to this job. NOTHINS was packed and ready to go as the contract clearly states packing is an extra cost. It is found in the what's not included section of the signed contract. Also their was no public loading dock to safely load the items that the carrier would be liable for. The customer continued to hang up on our customer service rep and would only speak with the carrier at this point in the on-site issue. Customer had additional items and space to be taken up on the original estimate and needed complete packing services. Customer was offered the options to pack everything or stick with the original items but refused and said it had to be done right than and there with everything. Due to cleaners coming the next day...

As a broker for moving services, they failed to render service at all points and ultimately defrauded me by taking my money and blocking my phone number. This is a company engaged in fraudulent activity and on 1/5/24 they stole $1245 from me as part of a deposit. They did this by luring me in with a low price which used a false and highly manipulated volume based on the inventory I provided. They later claimed that due to a system issue that the two different states designated as drop off locations were not registered hence the pricing must go up - even though I have screenshots from their employee indicating it in the system notes that there are two drop offs. The inventory started at 300 cubic ft, then after I mentioned I have a rug the ** manager "***********************" bumped it to 500 cubic ft and significantly increased the estimate cost. I told him to remove it and he brought it back down to 400 cubic ft. Once I told ******* about the weight bumping (going from 300 to 400 with no inventory change), he panicked and started blaming the system. The moving company, IQ Moving, contacted me to validate scheduling. I spoke to them multiple times and we went through inventory - they notified me that the volume estimates were way off. I also Facetimed with the actual mover scheduled and he told me that Trusted Moving and Storage lowballed me and lured me in. ******* started calling me regularly and harassing me for an additional $302 saying that is part of the new deposit and requested it be paid via Venmo or Zelle (two non reversible methods). No mover actually showed up on moving day and by this point this broker had blocked my phone number. Your emails to them will also get blocked, and they will blame the "system". The *** website highlights the complaints against this company, and I am confident the 5-star BBB reviews for this company are largely fake. I have emails, texts, voicemail and contracts outlining the fraud and harassment.

Customer had significantly more items than originally disclosed on his initial estimate. The customer never signed the updated paperwork and we were calling him to do so which he refused the revision, when the carrier contacted him they had the initial contract which showed less items than initially disclosed. So of course it was way off. ******* tried repeatedly to have the customer sign and finalize everything but customer would not answer or update, So the carrier was waiting for the updated paperwork which never came.

I am rejecting this response because: This is a standard lie provided by Trusted Moving and Storage LLC  - there was no change in inventory at any point. I have attached both the first and last estimate.  "*******" attempted to harass me into giving him and this fraud operation more money as evidenced by the voicemail. The carrier spoke on the phone with me and let me know this broker obviously provided a low estimate to get my deposit, and also informed me that this broker wasted their time and money.

Trusted Moving and Storage is NOT to be TRUSTED. There is a reason they have over 50 complaints within the *** website. The reviews on BBB are obviously fake and I've reached out to BBB to take action. This scam operation is stealing money from vulnerable individuals, nothing short of disgusting. This company, specifically ************** ***********************************, has committed a felony by stealing my money. If I do not get my money back within this week, I am pursuing legal recourse. If I need to spend more money to put this entire crew in jail, I am happy to do that. You have harmed enough people and created enough victims in life - you belong behind bars. Society does not need people like you running amok.

THESE are the 2 separate SIGNED estimates, one for 300CF and the other for 400cubic feet. There is a difference in the amount. The recent claims by this individual have no been sent to our attorney as the slanderous and damaging comments are now on public records. This is the last response on a public forum I will be responding to with this individual as our legal team had advised. ******************************** can be contacted for any further correspondence.

Publishing false and defamatory claims made by a lying customer, as it was just proven with my attachments will also hold any publishing site accountable as well.

That customer provided an email not a signed estimate and purposely lied.
