1 starI was contacted by Guardian Moving Group (US DOT: *******, MC: ********) after requesting an online quote for a long-distance move from ******** to ****. Their initial communication was marked by aggressive high-pressure sales tactics. A representative, *******, immediately offered a supposedly time-sensitive "cancellation" deal with vague pricing ("about 1/2 normal pricing") and pressured me to provide my full name and pickup address to prepare an e-sign/deposit form before I had even agreed to their services or received a detailed estimate.They also offered a "meet or beat" policy with unclear terms on what constituted a "reputable mover." Alarmingly, they stated they had already "booked" the move for me without my explicit consent and set an immediate deadline to proceed.Throughout our subsequent communication, they were evasive about providing the name and DOT/MC number of the actual moving company that would handle the transport and refused to give any specific details, including the state, of the storage facility they would use. When I insisted on getting these crucial questions answered before committing, they became defensive and eventually ended communication.This experience was characterized by a complete lack of transparency, aggressive high-pressure sales tactics, and a disregard for my need to make an informed decision. Booking and Deadlines: You are absolutely correct that no booking should be made without your explicit consent. However, I feel as there was some confusion with maybe how the representative worded things. He was only trying to save that space on the truck with the great rate he had available at the time. We apologize if this was presented in a way that caused you undue pressure.
Lack of Information: We understand the importance of transparency, particularly when it comes to the details of the moving company and storage facilities involved. and all of that information could have been disclosed once the carrier was confirmed.

While his rapid-fire delivery might have some initially on their toes, what truly stood out was his comprehensive approach. **** made absolutely sure that everything I needed for my move was included in the quote and the plan.Despite his energetic ****, **** was incredibly thorough. He went through all the details meticulously, leaving no stone unturned. He anticipated potential challenges and proactively addressed them, ensuring there were no surprises along the way. I appreciated his directness and his commitment to making sure I felt completely taken care of. They were efficient and organized, making quick work of a task that would have taken me days. Similarly, the moving crew in *********** was prompt, friendly, and handled the unloading with the same level of care. They were even accommodating with the placement of boxes in my new home, making the unpacking process a little less daunting.What truly impressed me was the consistent level of communication and coordination between *******, the support staff, and the moving teams on both ends. It felt like a well-oiled machine, with everyone working in sync to ensure my belongings arrived safely and on schedule. 1 starIronically after I gave my credit card information my card gave me a notice of fraud in two different areas I called them to cancel and ask for my deposit back. They told me it was a federally document I signed and I could not get my money back. They try to assure me that what I experienced was not from them. They made it impossible to cancel. Moving day arrived. They gave me a time of 4-8 pm then called and said they come between 6-10 pm. They showed up in the pouring rain. They gave me a different total than what was originally agreed upon and said oh they forgot to tell you about a warehouse surcharge. Additionally, I was estimated a quote over the phone. Expecting maybe a little more upon arrival, however, when they came to pick up my stuff it was an additional $1400 than what I was originally quoted. We would like to clarify that, as previously discussed, our company only charged your card for the agreed-upon amount that you signed for. We are more than happy to provide proof of this transaction to any merchant, as we do not process any charges without prior approval and the proper documentation, including a signed estimate and bill of lading.
Regarding your cancellation request, we reviewed the terms of the cancellation policy that you signed, and after discussing the matter with you, you confirmed your decision to proceed with the move. When our crew arrived at your location, we noted that additional items were present that were not listed on the original inventory. It is important to note that without a complete and accurate inventory list, the estimated space required for the move may not reflect the actual space needed.
As a result, your items occupied significantly more space than originally estimatedthree times the amount of space that was initially reserved. Unfortunately, you declined to cover the additional cost associated with this discrepancy.
We have made numerous attempts to reach you, via phone calls, text messages, and emails, to discuss this issue and explore potential resolutions. However, we have yet to receive a response.Review fromShannon W

From start to finish, their team made the entire process smooth and stress-free.First, the booking process was straightforward and efficient. I received a clear, detailed quote with no hidden fees, and their customer service team was responsive and attentive to my questions. On the day of the move, the crew was running behind do to traffic but there team made sure to keep me updated until they arrived. They handled my belongings with great care, packing everything securely and that showed at delivery when all of my items arrived undamaged but a couple glasses which going that fat of a distance I do not blame the crew. The movers were not only professional but also efficient, working swiftly to load and unload my items. They made sure to place everything in the right spots at my new home, which was a huge help. It was evident that the team took pride in their work, and I felt confident throughout the entire move.What stood out most to me was how stress-free the entire process was. 1 starUpon contacting customer I advised them I was canceling service. However was informed that I would only receive ****** dollars and a 2 year credit. I informed manager that I will not accept those terms since I paid over ****** deposit. As of today I have not received my deposit back. I do not recommend using this moving.Guardian Moving Group

You were advised at the time of booking of the cancelation policy and you also sign the contracts stating that. At the time that you requested to cancel you were outside of cancelation and your deposit was already put towards the reservation of that moving truck and crew. We did offer to not only come to a settlement and return some of your deposit but also hold the rest for 2 years for you to use at any time.Review fromElena C

4 starsI had a positive experience. I was skeptical because of the reviews I read and because I dont usually just go on line and find companies. I usually go with recommendations. I moved to a different state. There were 3rd parties involved which was confusing but there was communication from beginning to end with all parties. The pricing was explained to me in detail. The thing is this, they ask for what you think your inventory is in the beginning. Im sure it is very rare that everyone knows exactly what their inventory is right off the bat. They explained that I would be able to update my inventory as the date of the move gets closer. They also explained that pricing goes by cubic feet so if you have more items at the end then you originally told them then of course your price will increase. They were very detailed in everything they explained. The movers were pleasant and very thorough in their explanations as well. My belongings arrived in good timing. Some boxes were squished but thats what happens when they are piled on top of each other. Just make sure you wrap things good. Nothing was missing. I had one broken glass and a broken glass on a picture frame. Everything else came the way I wrapped them. I was a very satisfied customer.Guardian Moving Group

1 starWouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. They don't know what they are doing. They don't know how much to quote for. They won't know where your stuff is if you have to store it. They don't know your delivery dates. Their movers damage everything they touch. The damaged a wood bed frame. They dented and bent a nice grill lid. They destroyed glassware. They destroyed 2 glass shelves from a China cabinet. They lost cables to TVs. They were rude, expensive and disorganized.The actual movers were polite, but brutish and destructive.Use someone else. We give estimates based on inventory list that are given. Based on your file when booking with us you provided a quote from another company and that is what you asked us to price for. Our records also do not show there were any issues with your pick up. It is not that we did not know where the items were stored, you were advised it was at the carriers warehouse. Also delivery dates are estimated as with interstate moves there are a lot of logistics. I also do see here you have not reached out in regards to any damages or missing items. 1 starScammers. Quoted $1,500 to move after loading my boxes price changed to $2,800. I refused the new amount. I had ******* unload the truck. They wanted to change price back to $1500 the next day and send someone back out. I completely lost TRUST IN THEM. NO LONGER WANTED TO USE THEIR COMPANY. Didnt want for them to possibly go to shopping location and jack up the price again. They asked me for my Zelle information but They would not refund any of my deposit $608.36. We tried to do a quality assurance call with you before pick up to ensure your space reservation was correct and you refused. When the crew showed up they confirmed that your items may need a little more space. You decided to cancel after the crew had already gave you the new estimate and loaded. We did not give you a refund as services were rendered. We still had to pay all cost for the truck and crew. We tried to resolve the issue with you by sending out a new crew with no extra cost for just your original estimate and you did not want to go forward.Review fromDarlene B

2 starsBeware! Two third party moving companies contracted by Guardian transported our furniture from ** to **. One piece actually had water damage on two sides. Other pieces had scratches and gouges. The claim was submitted to Support@MovingClaims, a company supposedly hired by Guardian Moving to evaluate and process the claim. The entire process was a total scam. The settlement amount was a joke. The process to dispute the settlement is a waste of time. The furniture did arrive on time. Initially, the customer service at ******************** was very helpful. That's the best I can say for this move.Guardian Moving Group

We are the booking agent not the carrier. So when it comes to damages and claims you have to file everything under your carrier. The claims department is not someone we hired or work with. Your move was going 2062 miles and normally that is estimated to take 4-14 business which you were aware of and you also signed off on. Our records show it took the carrier 5 business days to deliver.
