      December 16th I called to book a hotel stay during my cross country drive for my military pcs. I called the number on the hotel website to book. The next day I received an email and noticed the dates were incorrect, so I called the ************ said we cannot touch this, it was booked third party, and I said no I called the number on the website, he then proceeded to tell me that companies like this operate on to muddy up booking and cause customers a lot of headaches with non refundable polices I went back to the email & sure enough it stated I denied refund protection, (no I did not, let alone was it offered). I get ahold of this company I explained whoever booked my original reservation must of misspoke because the itinerary was wrong & I needed it fixed. They then stated that since I called within 24hrs they could offer me a refund and rebook. I stated I would not be rebooking without my refund in hand. I received a text while on the phone about a $188 (approx) voucher, I immediately brought it up, because this wasnt what was discussed or the correct amount. She said to ignore it because I would get a refund. Fast fed I called my government travel card Dec 26th to make sure everything was cleared up so I could rebook, and the charge was never refunded. Called back, got the same run around stating it would be escalated, and that my refund should be completed by the 31st, called today (Jan 1st) got the same run around, promised they would escalate, my case for my refund and that the case was only opened the day after Christmas so they are still within their refund window and to please be patient. This is the 3rd time Ive been told my refund request was escalated & Ive received no actual help OR refund. No one seems to have any idea at this company anything besides the tag line its been escalated, give it ten business days. The total was $376.86, and Im AD military just trying to move my family across the country without being scammed.

      1/1/2025 ****** Reservation confirmed that I could check in early in the morning, when I got to the hotel no rooms were available.       Date of transaction December 30, 2024. Hotelplanner.com ***********/Suites I-******************************************************************************************* ************ The website was very deceptive. It has the Hampton Inn logo and looked completely like the other ****** websites. I usually do everything online, but I was in a hurry and traveling, so I called. I felt very pressured and reassured I was getting a good rateor the only rate left, since they were sold out. That was completely false. The rate online was for $132 plus tax. My family is in town for a funeralmy cousin paid this rate plus tax. I booked two rooms a single King at a charge of $176.99 plus a tax recovery and fees of $74. 11 for a total of $251.10 for each. Grand total of $502.20. They also told me at no charge would be a protection plan. I said I was not interested in it or in paying for it. They lied again. It was $48.96. A grand total of $551.16. Non-refundable. When I called the reservation center they were not helpful. They would not say the companys name. They said they could not cancel unless the actual hotel said they could. That was a lie. Being third party the hotel said they could not do anything. ****** Honors said that the room rate online their end that Hotelplanner.com got was $150.32 w tax per room. I was charged $250 more than I expected. Hilton Honors and the Hotel said that it was through ******* on their end. I think I was able to cancel the protection plan of $48.96waiting for that to be refunded. I asked them to refund all my money. The man I spoke to said something was in process, but could not say what amount that was. I had called on the 30th too, but they did not say they would cancel it. I asked for a manager, but no one has returned my call. This has been a horrendous ordeal while dealing with my family and our loss. If they will not refund my money I plan to report to the ************************************ and the ************************.

      I was swindled into thinking your agent was a Hilton Agent and was told to hurry up and book because there were 3 of the room types left that I needed. Which was and is untrue Also the one night fee cancellation policy is ************ offers full refund until the night before Also the fees are astronomical!! $1000 more than if i booked with ****** directly, which I was told who they were. Your agent mis represented herself.

      I reserved a hotel in ************************* using a company called HotelPlanner on December 4th, I made the reservation in error and immediately called them and requested a refund. The approved the refund and told me it would take 10 days to get the refund. I called back on the 12 to find out the status of my refund.They told me it was escalated and to wait another 10 days, I called them on the 29th of December and they said they would escalate it, I am getting the run around on a simple refund. I asked to escalate the case and I spoke with a supervisor who actually told me it was 10 "business days because of the holidays" and that he would escalate it.

      Last night a googled ****************** so that I could make a reservation at the hotel. A website came up with the name of the hotel desired. I called this number. At no point did anyone tell me I was calling a third party reservation service. They could easily have made that known. I made a same day reservation. At no point in my conversation did anyone say that it was non refundable. We pulled into the hotel parking lot. While we were sitting in our car 3 police came up who had apparently been notified of an altercation at the hotel. Being that we were with our kids this wasnt a good sign bit we proceeded to check in. When we got there the sofa bed was tiny not a full size. I went down to request a change and the hall smelled strongly of marijuana. That was the last straw. I tried ti cancel my reservation at the front desk and to my surprise was told I had made the reservation through a third party. I called the number I was given and was made ti believe I was getting a refund so we left and booked another hotel. However I was charged for then room.

      My experience with HotelPlanner.com was evasive with information and ended up being a bad and costly customer experience. It began when I directly called -- at least I thought I directly called -- a hotel we have stayed in multiple times. The representative, whom I assumed was employed by the hotel, said the hotel was fully booked for the dates we needed. He asked if we'd be interested in one of their sister hotels. I assumed the owner of the hotel we have used many times also had other properties. Several options were given and I made a reservation. Several weeks past but then two weeks before the reservation dates, I needed to cancel my reservation. I called the hotel where the reservations were made to cancel and they said they couldn't because they were booked through HotelPlanner.com. That was the first I had heard that. When I called Hotelplanner.com to cancel, rather than make a full refund, they withheld $180.59 for a cancellation fee. (Original reservation was for $541.76. The refund they gave was $361.17.) After three calls to customer service where the **** said they'd "escalate" my complaint, I have not heard anything from the "escalated" source, and I am still working to get a full refund. I also took the time to submit a dispute form through my credit card company to help me get the full refund. I will NEVER use HotelPlanner again based on my experience.

      On December 27, 2024 I googled hotels in *********** and came across ************ **************. I clicked on the website thinking it was the actual hotel website and made a reservation. I did realized a protection plan of ***** charge and a tax recovery and fee of ****** at checkout. I was able to remove the protection plan and got text message stating that the refund would take 2-10 days to go back to my account. When I checked in I asked the receptionist about that extra fee which I thought it was an error is when she informed me that I made the reservation through a third party.I would had never made a reservation that way due to all those unnecessary fees.I feel I was lied too and now let's see if I do get this refund. If I would've made the reservation inside the hotel it would've been ****** and with the third party website my total was ****** which is not right.

      I previously sent my receipt on my original email/complaint. I would like for the company to reimburse me for the extra unnecessary charges for my hotel stay. I felt that it was misleading, making me believe that I was booking straight through the hotel website. To resolve this matter I would like to be credited for those charges.

      I live in rural *****, and on Thanksgiving a large portion of the state lost power. Once my house reached 45 degrees on November 29th I got on my cell phone to book a hotel reservation with the hotel I had stayed at for 6 weeks about a year ago, as well as on several other occasions because it's clean and cheap. Normally I wouldn't book anything on my phone because my vision is not the best, but I had no choice because my internet was out. So, I ******d "*************" just as I had when booking a room with the hotel on several other occasions, and I clicked on the hotel that came up first, just as I had before. I thought the price was a little steep, but because my house was freezing and the sun was quickly going down I booked it anyway. I was then unable to get there because the end of my road was blocked, so I called the hotel and explained the situation to them. This is where they told me I had booked through a third party, which I was not aware of. They applied for a refund for me (I ended up getting ahold of my mother who came to pick me up and I stayed at her house), and released the funds back to the company. I am attaching two screen shots of ****** searches for "*************". The one on my computer brings up the real website, which is what I had done before. The one I looked up on my phone brings up a third party site, and I honestly couldn't tell because the print was so small and I had no way to look at it on my computer. I feel that this practice is immensely deceptive, and on that point alone I feel I am owed a refund. Additionally I didn't realize that the booking was nonrefundable because I did it so quickly due to the fact that they had some countdown going in the background saying I only had a couple of minutes to book the room or I might lose it. It caused me to think that they didn't have many rooms available, which wasn't true at all. I still thought I may be able to get a refund because I ALSO paid a nearly $14 dollar refund protection fee.

      H9994396 I made a reservation on the evening of 12/19/24, which was deceptively portrayed as the Holiday Inn Express and Suites at ************, **, but what I later learned was with the 3rd-party hotelplanner.com. I had booked 1 room for 4/25/25 and 4/26/25. I learned of the deception when I received a confirmation email on 12/19 indicating charges for ****** including exorbitant tax recovery and fees and a refund protection plan, which were both a surprise to me as I was not informed of them and never would have booked the reservation through a 3rd party to begin with. Of note, I learned that the rooms I actually wanted to book directly through the hotel were $387, so I booked those directly (and legitimately) through the actual hotel. When I called hotel.planner on 12/20/24 at ************** and indicated that they had used deceptive tactics, I was told by "****" that they would cancel the reservation and provide me a partial refund. I stated that I would not accept anything less than a full refund and that I was documenting the conversation. I was told that they would first have to provide me a partial refund before they could escalate it for a full refund. I repeatedly indicated that I did not consent to anything other than a full refund of $******. When I got off the phone a partial refund had been issued to my credit card for ($224.44) and for ($43.47). Hotel planner still owes be $224.75. They have still not responded to my follow up email, which I sent on 12/20/24. In that email, I noted the documented conversation I had with "****" and how I did not consent to anything that would jeopardize my full refund. I also noted their deceptive and dishonest practices, as well as their numerous complaints with the BBB. I will not accept anything less than the $224.75 they still owe me.
