    I'd like to provide some insight about my experience with NEXT DOOR RELOCATION, ******: ******* MC: IM3311.The man who booked the move was pleasant, but did not tell me about all the fees I would encounter.I was not told about an overnight fee, shrink-wrap fees, or the other fees I encountered during pick up. I was quoted 398 for the move and paid half over the phone. He did tell me the cost of boxes and made it seem like that would be the only extra cost I would encounter. When the women called to confirm my move she mentioned an overnight fee, talked to someone, and advised it would be waived. The movers arrived with a uhaul truck. They were respectful and did a good job, but did not ask what I wanted shrink-wrapped or tell me the cost. The men took it upon themselves to wrap my items as they see fit, for 75 dollars an item, without asking. Two of the items I might throwout, as they are old and second-hand. I would have never said to wrap them! Additionally, I had an unexpected item, an elliptical. I was not told the 150 dollarcost to bring the item, until the final amount due was provided. This is also an item I was looking to get rid of. The woman who provided the **** due in cash was nasty, and even threatened me. I was only willing to pay half until my belongings are returned to me. She told me I was going to regret having her call the owner because the owner would add additional fees!! (He did not.) I am appalled by my interaction with her, to the point I thought this business could be a scam.The next day, 3/31/23, my belongings were scheduled for drop off between 7 pm and 9 pm. They never showed and I confirmed with a women on the phone. I miss a call around 5:30 pm and called back at 6:05 pm with no answer. Their recording advises they close at 6:30 pm on Friday. I tried contacting the company multiple ways without making contact. When I select the hyperlink in the image provided, I don't have access to the estimate anymore.

    Date of transaction: 3/25/23 Company: Nextdoor Relocation Amount paid: $1,315.50 Amount quoted: $297 Movers showed up 5 hours later than originally scheduled move time (scheduled 8am, arrive 12:50pm), the movers lost control of my sofa while it was on a dolly outside of the apartment and the couch fell through my front window-- the entire window cracked and broke and shattered glass went everywhere. They also damaged the window frame and the entire window will need replacement. The company is not answering or returning my phone calls (I have called more than 10 times over the last 72 hours), the "claims department" is only there on Wednesdays and will not respond to my emails. My claim # is 2262304.The only email response I received was an error message saying the recipient did not accept my email. Attempts to speak with someone on the phone have gone unanswered. ******** services offered no resolution or suggestions for filing my claim in a timely manner. I am extremely disappointed in the services provided and the lack of response from this company. Careless movers broke my window and I cannot get in contact with anyone to help file a claim. In addition, the moving contract and final invoice included several hidden/undisclosed fees that led to me paying 4x as much as initially quoted.

    I paid a deposit of 200 (twice even though they claim to have only gotten it once) for a move scheduled on the 17th. Day off I get a call saying the truck broke down. And it was rescheduled for late in the day the next day. The next day I wait and wait and wait until 6 pm for them to tell me the job before is taking longer than expected. When I finally talk to someone Im told that things just happen. Worst customer services ever. The move was rescheduled again for the next morning.cant get anyone one on the phone. Its already past the timed they were supposed to be here to start the move.Part two. The movers themselves were great, despite being two hours late on move day. When it was time to unload the invoice had to be paid before they relinquished my belongings. I was initially quoted three hundred something minus one of the deposits since they claimed to never have received the second. The final invoice stated the actual amount owed was over ****, which had to be paid otherwise they were going to keep my belongings and charge me a storage rate. These people are scam artists and the movers themselves commented on how messed up it was and they have seen this company pull shady practices like this before. I would have moved myself if I was given anywhere near an accurate quote. As of yet they still refuse to return the second deposit. Included is a letter from the bank saying two deposits of 200 wrote made via zelle next door relocation.

    On March 14th my son made a $200 deposit on a $353 quote to move a studio apartment 2 miles. *********** claimed they didn't receive the deposit, so another deposit was sent. They were supposed to come do the move on March 15th. They claimed their truck broke down and they couldn't come until March 16th. At 3 p.m. they called and said they were still working on their first move and would be there at 6. At 4 p.m. they called back and said they weren't coming until the next day. So, he had to pay 2 additional days of rent. Then, they came and put everything in the truck and refused to unload it until they were paid an addition $1,483 and claimed they hadn't received the second deposit of $200 despite us having proof from our bank. We had no choice but to pay this extortion. This was a completely deceptive process with the intent to scam us.
