- Additional Info:On February 15, 2001, Cape Canaveral Cruise Line Tour & Travel and Promotional Travel signed an Agreed Judgement and Final Order with the Attorney General in Settlement of case number 01-374.In addition to Florida, the states entering agreement with the companies are Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan, Massachusettes, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.In settlement of the case, the companies agreed to among other things, refund in full consumers who purchased travel packages from 1997 to present and have not taken their vacation.On order to obtain their refund, consumers must file a complaint with the Office of Attorney General, Economic Crime Division, Cape Canaveral Settlement, The Capitol, PL-01, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-1050 within 60 days of the signing of this settlement.The States will equally divide $150,000 paid by the companies to cover the cost of their investigation.In addition, the defendants are permanently enjoined from distributing any solicitation in the State of Florida unless the companies fully disclose the total price of the vacation package, additional terms and conditions that may apply, what is included in the package, and that a consumer may be solicited to tour and or purchase a time share or vacation ownership interest.The companies entered into the agreement without admitting any wrongdoing and for settlement purposes only.
