      Absolutely horrible company. Refuses to let me turn electric on at my own property! How is this allow? What a criminal company.

      People don't understand that TECO the ones that answer the phone they have a job to do you can always call back and talk to her supervisor as far as giving people an extension they do they've helped me like a couple times in a month and I'm on disability I called them today because my bank was going to close my account over $5.88 and they gave me another extension thank you so much TECO for letting my power stay on. god bless

      Teco has been increasing their usage of power. Especially during the summer which should be illegal. I've been tracking my bill and comparing years and in the same month from 2024 our bill is more than $100 more with the same usage. We are on a fixed income because we are 63+ and its hard for us to continue to pay our electric bill. We've lived in st. Petersburg and have used Duke, and this has never happened to us with Duke. TECO just loves to take advantage of their customers. It's very unfortunate we don't have options for power.

      TECO hired Davey to come through and remove trees . Davey cut a tree lopsided leaving the tree in danger of falling. 1 week later , large branches have fallen just a few feet from a vehicle and a child almost crushing the child. TECO has been informed about the issue , but TECO says they will not cut or remove trees on private property . The funny thing is that TECO is the company responsible for incorrectly cutting the branches causing it to be in the condition it's in TECO does not care about the safty of your children , family or property . We have lived in this house for 4 years now. The first 2 years are Bill's average $180 , now are Bill's run around $500 a month . That's a $320 increase in 2 years . TECO is a terrible company , it cares nothing about the people it serves . Its unfortunate living in Florida , TECO is the only provider in our area .

      There have been multiple outages at my address with ********************* the last few months for over hours. It cost me money to cool my house down. I pay my bill on time tap electric needs to give their customer that are out of power a rebate every time they lose power.

      TECO is the worst Electric service provider, I have seen throughout America. They charge normal than the billing rate and their invoice have so many different charges which takes my bill always more than double the amount of actual energy consumption. For example, If I talk about my actual energy consumption from April 2025 months statement then the energy consumption was 825 kWh@ $0.08924/kWh for $73.62 and on top of that they charged 1.) "Daily Basic Service Charge" $13.33, 2.) Fuel Charge for $23.53 for 825 kWh@ $0.02852/kWh 3.) Storm Protection Charge of $5.96 (This charge is always there in the invoice independent of the fact that whether there was a storm or not.) 4.) Clean Energy Transition Mechanism for $3.35 for 825 kWh@$0.00406/kWh 5.) Storm Surcharge for $16.46 for 825 kWh@ $0.01995/kWh (This used to be around $2- $3 every month but this month it jumped almost 3- 4 times of last month. Last month after many requests and being on the phone for hours, they waived off a late payment fee of $15 for me and this month they adjusted that here, very smartly in the "Storm Surcharge"). 6.) Florida Gross Receipt Tax $3.49 (Every month recurring charge) 7.) Franchise Fee of $9.15 (Every month recurring charge) This is so ridiculous and frustrating to see how smartly they act and prepare such an invoice and distribute it among their customers. You can add up the total of other unnecessary charges from the invoice that add up to my bill being double the price of what I am actually consuming or utilizing every month. It's a small home, and I am very careful in utilizing only the energy that is required, but still their invoice never goes below of what they charge me every month. I really hate how TECO works and charge their innocent customers. Also, I am surprised that people of Tampa are not coming forward together to take some legal action towards TECO. They literally force people to pay high bills which should not be acceptable at all.

      you guys suck. i haven’t lived at my place for 4 months and still got billed. my fault for forgetting to cancel which i finally did in december and some how still got billed again in january and february for 88 dollars for a cancel fee and another energy bill i never used. they told me they can’t do anything about it.

      I'm a 100% disabled veteran living on a fixed income from the va. I called teco to see about getting me a payment extension for just 2 days because I don't get paid untill the 31st of December the last day for me to pay for the bill is the 29 of December. Teco told me that there is nothing they can do I'm not eligible for an extension. My bill is not more then one payment over due and I've always paid everything in full in the past.
