I spoke to Mr. ***** concerning his recent experience with Tampa Electric Company (TEC) customer service. He shared he was attempting to establish direct debit for a specific date each month for payments to be withdrawn from his bank account for his monthly invoice with TEC. The representative informed Mr. ***** we are unable to establish direct debit for a date of his choosing at this time. The payment will be withdrawn from his bank each month on the due date of the invoice.
Mr. ***** also stated the
representative was unable to assist him in resetting the original password for
his portal account with Tampa Electric. He stated he requested to speak with a
supervisor, but the call was disconnected.
I apologized for the experience he
encountered and inquired if he was still trying to establish direct debit for
his electric account. Mr. ***** stated he was able to establish direct debit
and did not require any further changes. TEC does offer online access for our
customers to send their questions by visiting tampaelectric.com.
I asked Mr. ***** to call me if he had any additional questions or concerns. Mr. ***** thanked me and ended the call.
