These people are among the worst I've ever encountered in my life. They took my 6 year old son's appointment on January 12, 2022 (see attachment for their email confirmation). On the day I'm to visit the office, 3/11/2022 I get a call from someone in the office, saying my insurance doesn't cover my son. Red flag #1: That's interesting because when I made the appointment, they literally confirmed that they took my insurance *********** / Blue Shield by CareFirst).Surprised by that and at such a late "verification" of insurance even though IT WAS verified during the appointment in January, I called my insurance company, who confirmed that my insurance ********** / Blue Shield by CareFirst does cover my 6-year old son. After going back and forth with them and my insurance, the insurance agent tried to reach them, but was unable to, but left them a message that I was covered. Aspen Dental continued to try to find a way to deny my visit and I then got another call saying (mind you, after confirming all of this since January 2022) that they don't work on children who are 6 years old and that they would refer me out. Red flag #2: Wouldn't you think they would say that they don't cover a 6-year old when they were taking the appointment? hmm. Now, trying to get a dentist is difficult as it is, but to put my son and me in a predicament like this is simply unexcusable! Especially after waiting two months to get an appointment only to be told they don't accept my insurance. Then after they got a call from my BCBS Carefirst, they switched gears and said they don't offer services for a 6-year old?Stay way from these people, and especially if you have insurance. Look at their reviews on Better Business Bureau. I've cancelled all of my upcoming appointments the rest of the 5 members in my family. I'll let all of my friends and other family members know of this shady business practice at Aspen Dental as well. Horrible experience with Aspen Dental. From A
