We feel the need to address this 'review' and inaccuracies. We do not contact patients on their doctor ******* We do not make unsolicited calls to patients. Patients initiate the request to be contacted. These patients are concerned about their health and their genetic predisposition to developing major health issues.

The health information we collected is to determine medical necessity. If the criteria are met, that information is sent to the patients primary care physician. If their doctor determines it would benefit the patients care they would order the genetic testing.

Bio-Genetics Laboratory is a laboratory certified by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and accredited by the ******* of American Pathologists (CAP), with a proven 20-year operational track record. CLIA-certified facilities adhere to established regulations for laboratory testing quality and the reporting of patient-specific results. CLIA standards are overseen by the U.S. Food and ******************* ****** the Centers for ******** and ******** Services (CMS), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Any testing performed in the U.S. that influences patient care must comply with CLIA standards.

Very unnerving phone call. I assumed my Dr was setting it up for me to have genetic testing done. But, after I got on the phone with such person it wasn’t that way. I was stupid and against my true intentions gave the person more information than I should. He said that they would contact my main Dr about the testing and send me a swab to do and send it back and that my Medicare should cover it! They had called and left a message saying that I was to call them and also a text message. So I genuinely thought they were legit. Now I investigated and apparently they are a scam! I called them back and told them I was contacting the attorney general’s office and the BBB to report them and the police. She said they will delete everything and take me off their list to call! Right there proves they are a scam! I told her I read that they were a scam! She could hang up fast enough! Don’t fall for the scam of them calling you about genetic testing because it’s all a big rip off! Never again!

      ******,

Since this is a public review we feel the need to respond. We do not make unsolicited calls to patients. Patients initiate the request to be contacted. You had request to be contact with regards to your autoimmune health related issues. We are a (next generation sequencing) NGS molecular diagnostics laboratory that specializes in genetic based testing for clinical utility purposes and all testing is ordered by a patient's primary care physcian.

During the 20 minute medical intake we performed with you we documented your medical history as to diagnoses, symptoms and family history to determine if you met ******** (CMS) and the medical communitys medical necessity guidelines for genetic testing. We also collected, for you, your primary care physician information.

This information and documentation was then forwarded to your doctor for them to review and make a medical decsion as to ordering or not ordering testing. That information was set to your doctor for them to review.

You then called us back that very same day and instructed us to we cancel the request, which we did, and the record was closed without your doctor having reviewed the documentation.
