Grading I have ample amounts of text messages, emails, videos &pictures from outside cameras for the final grade *** stated was done on 6/23, and have now been quoted by multiple companies and even our builder Proper grading was not done and does not consist of just raking as stated by *** of what was done in text messages. Even on our *********** on 7/************** grading was noted to still needing to be done. I have photos from 7/25 to show there was no dirt, no grass taken out, nothing was done in between ours and our neighbors house that would even show effort of a final grade or putting the access point back to its original state. It still shows the equipment marks and basically shows Holiday Pools did nothing to our access point. We got our landscaping done and now months later we have drainage issues between ours and our neighbors house due to improper grading. Per the pool contract, Page 4 item #5 , Contractor shall return the access way to original grade, but will not be responsible for replacement of grass, shrubs, trees, irrigation, etc. The dirt removed from our property should have been reused to do proper grading and sloping towards the street, and if that dirt was unable to be reused and we needed to purchase dirt, then that should have been done as well per the contract so were able to properly grade the access way. I need to know what is going to be done about this as we have already laid landscaping which cost us money to now have to tear it up and spend thousands of dollars more to get it properly graded. So I either need your company to come and do this at no charge to us, or I need to know who I need to send the invoice to for us to get it done properly.Initial Complaint

I contracted Holiday Pools of West Florida to build our pool and cage in May of 2022. After a lengthy process we finally have a near completed project. We took "handoff" of our pool on May 26, 2023. There was a punch list of things that needed to be completed before final payment, acknowledged via email from *******, the construction coordinator. The issues listed were: pool lights not operational, leaks from connections by the pump, overflow drain not operational, at least 50% of pavers on back step loose/not attached, stucco on back of house and side of porch not completed, silt fence not removed, and final inspection/certificate of occupancy not completed. We received acknowledgement in writing that these issues would be resolved and so gave the ok to release final payment. In addition to the punch list, the county had voiced concern about the damage to the wetlands located adjacent to our property, which was incurred during the construction process. Initially they had completed work without placing the silt fence which resulted in significant damage to the wetlands, including trash from contractors, displacement/runoff of dirt, and dumping of concrete products into the wetlands. I have spoken with the county code enforcement ******** ********************** on multiple occasions. He has found the company unresponsive to all attempts to contact them for over a year. I attempted to contact Holiday for the last 3 months via email, telephone, and leaving voicemails. I have not had a single communication from them in this time. At this point I have a pool without final inspection/certificate of occupancy and no response from the company. The issues to be resolved are the pavers on the porch, repair of stucco, possible leak at water inlet near pool, final inspection/certificate occupancy, removal of silt fence, and repair of wetlands. I have still to hear a word from them since pool handoff, despite my attempts to reach out to them via all available means.Initial Complaint

We have paid in full for our pool build. We signed the contract in November 2021 and they broke ground one year ago (August 2022). They still havent done their final clean up and there is a giant pile of dirt and debris on our property. There are several other unfinished items on our pool itself. They wont return our calls or emails and weve driven to the office several times to inquire about it. We just want what we paid for and we want this process to be over.Initial Complaint

My pool was completed back in March, and I performed a final walk-around before accepting the pool in full. We noted issues that needed to be fixed. The first issue was the screens were not put up all the way, and the second issue was the rain gutter fell off. The final issue was that the pavers installed and noted on the final inspection were sinking and were a trip hazard. The screens were fixed, and the gutter was put back on. I have contacted Holiday Pools of West Florida countless times via email and phone calls, even leaving messages with no reply. I want Holiday Pools of West Florida to fix the pavers as promised in the final walk-through and prevent people from falling hazards when wanting to swim at my home. They also damaged my fence with heavy equipment. I understand I have to pay to put up the fence from taking it down before they started construction, but I should not have to pay for a damaged fence caused by a reckless driver operator. I have emailed the receipt for the fence, and still, no payment or check has been sent to me. I also wish for the payment as well as the job to be complete.Initial Complaint

We contracted with Holiday Pools to build ** a pool on June 14, 2021. The pool was completed July 12, 2022 concluding with execution of a "turn over" document including a punch list. Holiday Pools warranty extends for 1 year for upon completion. In about April I began discussions with Holiday Pools about a potential leak. In May Holiday's techs confirmed multiple leaks. The Service Manager ***** has promised the leak / issues would be addressed. I have reached out numerous times to understand the path forward. I understand Holiday may need to involve various subcontractors. I need the BBB's help to protect my position as the warranty period is closing.Customer Answer

We went into contract with Holiday Pools first week of August of 2022. At the time we were told that original price that we were quoted went up and are contract went up over 20k.At the time we were not sure if we were going with salt or chlorine system but told them we would let them know.February 2023 they started working on our pool and that when the nightmare started. From day one there has been so many errors, our pavers we done so unprofessional, large gapes all around. When I reach out to the construction team I was told someone would come and look at but we are still waiting. Our cage is leaking on several places and still no one is coming to fix it. The new motor not working properly and they need to replace a part. We decided to change to salt and we were asked to pay the difference but when they installed the equipment they never place the salt equipment on. We are still waiting on that one. We have called and text and emailed several people and so many messages with no answer. The few times I was able to actually speak to one of them, they were rude and was told that someone would come over and fix all of our issues. We were even told why we worry since motor in on a warranty. We should not need to use thst since it was just installed and they have not finished. They are eager to get paid but now we have a ton of unresolved issues. We want the part that are broken replaced and everything else fixedInitial Complaint

Signed contract Jan 25 2022 , made my first installment payment Jan 27 2022. My final payment was made March 2023 I do not have a paid receipt I guess due to construction not completed. I purchased 4 flush lights, ******* emailed on June of 2022 asking what was my color choice. My lights were just installed early May 2023, there was a mix up with the order and it took almost a year to resolve. Day of light installation, it could not be completed. Come to find out the wiring apparently were ripped out, Holiday assumed the paver installers did it. Wires are supposed to run within the tube/pipe underneath the pavers, but since someone ripped them out. Now the wires are exposed and loosely outside the enclosure and tucked underneath my weed barrier and mulch. I believe Holiday forgot about my flush lights and it was not communicated that an additional transmitter is needed. We have a remote and all lights turn on when really you should be able to select which lights go on. I believe, no one will communicate with to confirm what it should be regarding the remote/ transmitter. I have asked for details on lights models ect, so we can order them in the future when the lights die. No response. I got an email from ****** saying there is only one person who can make the cuts to my pavers and Im in queue. That email was dated 5/31/2023. I have called to follow up, no response. Its only 4 lights. Warranty- Paid for heater hook up, space unavailable for subpanel for future heater. Called warranty countless times to follow up. On one answers and no one has come back out. ************* Called to have my card number changed several times. No call backs.I was told mid construction I dont have an assign superintendent. No one has followed up on the work that was done throughout the process, I feel unsure if everything was done properly. So, Im asking that when the lights finally get installed to have someone come out to make sure it was done properly.Initial Complaint

This Builder Has Abandoned the Job that they were hired to do. I signed my pool contract like many others over a year ago, I actually signed my pool contract on December 2021. We have maybe less than a month worth of work to do but they dont answer calls, text messages, voicemails and emails. They literately have gone **** Do not hire this pool builder if you want a completed pool. To top it off they leave your home and work area unsafe, just look at the rebar standing up waiting for someone to fall on.Initial Complaint

My husband went into contract with Holiday Pools exactly a year ago. The pool dug was completed in early December, 2022. Holiday Pools or a representative of the company showed up it seems like every 4-6 weeks do do a little work. My husband and I have made several attempts to reach ***** and ******. I've kept record of the countless e-mails and text messages requesting updates since no one thinks it's necessary to communicate with us after receiving over $73,000 from us.I contacted the company in April, 2023 for an update and was told by ***** that the company had 1 year to complete the job. Well, it's now 1 year and we are feeling like Holiday Pools ran off with our money. The pool case was erected on our property over a month ago and had not been inspected. I contacted the company and was told that the will follow up and reach back to us. After a week of no response, I visited Hillsborough County website and saw that the permit for the pool cage expired a month before the cage was installed. I sent an e-mail with a screenshot of the expired permit and to my surprise ****** answered my call the next day. Coincidently, I went to the county's site a few days later and the permit was renewed.Again, I was promised a followup call and to date I haven't heard from ******. I sent another e-mail to her and *****. ***** responded and said that someone would be at our home the next day to install the pool guard, well, that was over a week ago and yet again, no one showed up. We were also told that the electrician was stopping by over a month ago, surprise, the electrician never showed. I sent an e-mail a day or two ago asking for the contact information of someone who can answer our questions regarding the completion of our pool. No response. With the upcoming changes in Florida, I am really concerned about the pool being completed and Holiday Pools is walking off with our money in hand.
