I called ******* to install a digital thermostat as the place i purchased had a smart thermostat. A technician came over and installed a digital thermostat. A few days later i called ******* again as my ** unit was not working properly. The technician informed me that i need an entire ** unit as the condenser and air handler were of different brands. I was sent a bid and agreed to the terms and paid 50% down. A few days later after installation the ** unit was not working properly. I called ******* and they sent a technician over who informed me the thermostat was not installed correctly. I am lead to believe that had the thermostat been installed correctly the FIRST time, i would not have been lead to believe i need an entire NEW unit. I told ******* i would agree to the 50% payment as they misdiagnosed my problem and cost me thousands. Instead of reaching an agreement amicably they charged my credit card the other 50% without my permission. I have sent numerous emails, texts and calls without a response. I will have to dispute the other 50% charge as i did not give permission to the final charge.

My two year old airconditioner stopped running and I called the installer, John Cassidy AC, to fix it. On the first call, the technician checked the system and stated everything was fine. I was charge $259. That night the system stopped again. The next day the technician determined that the thermostat was not funtioning properly and replaced it. I was charged $232, just for the thermstat. Two days later the system stopped again. Since it was a Sunday, I was informated that the service charge would be $200 plus parts. Their policy is no call backs honored on weekends. I waited until Monday to call them out. The technician came out and determined that the problem was a clog in the drainage system. He vacuumed it out and the system is now running properly. No charge. Although it was frustrating that it took three tries to fix the system, my main issues were associated with the magnitude of the invoices. I called Cassidy to discuss it. First the charge for the thermostat. I found the exact thermostat at two places for $59 dollars. Since Cassidy buys in bulk and at wholesale, I guess they pay about $40 or so for each one. That replesents a markup of 6 time, or about $200!! I told them I felt that was price gouging.but they said it was their practice. The fact that the thermostat was not even the issue was ignored. Second the charge for the first service call. I was told over the phone that it would be about $100 and some. The actual invoice had a service charge of $114 AND a charge for the technicians hourly charge of $145, totalling $259!! During the phone call, Cassidy eliminated the $145 charge for the technician's time but would not change the charge for the thermostat. I paid about $350 to unclog a drain line, but would have paid $500 if I hadn't called and complained. Don't use this company.

This company came highly recommended to me, so Im disappointed in the service I received. While the schedulers and technicians were all polite and a technician always came out when I called, the timeframe for the service call was misleading and unacceptably broad; and, more importantly, my air conditioning kept going out between service calls. One technician contradicted the other in terms of what needed to be done. Meanwhile, during the hottest days of summer, I was without air and I kept having to cancel other appointments because I had to be home from 1 until 6, even though at times I was told that my appointment was between 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. From February until October, I had persistent problems. At no time, despite so many callbacks, did Cassidy send out someone who actually diagnosed the problem and presented a solution. I asked that my contract be cancelled and not be automatically renewed. I also asked if I would receive a prorated portion of the cost of the current contract. While three people clicked on the read receipt, not one responded to the very detailed email I sent documenting my experience and asking for the prorated rebate.
