            I wanted to let you know about an experience I just cleared up. I bought a brand new AC system from what I thought was a very reputable company. They screwed me bad. I've called them several times. Had my wife call them to no avail. They said that I voided the warranty because I changed a 5 amp fuse that blew. All in all, I had to buy a brand new defrost board, all new thermostat wire ( that wasn't replaced when they installed the new unit. A brand new Thermostat that was a cheap p.o.s. and blew the transformer, which I had to buy. All this for a brand new system! I had to run the thermostat wire through the attic, which I fell through by the way. I've fixed the unit, but don't feel that I should have had to pay for it. I am a certified AC technician too, and was going to clean the brand new evaporator coil, which they had no problem with, but replacing the fuse voided the warranty. The owner asked my wife how long was he supposed to be married to the system. The brand new system.... Did I mention it was brand new? Oh and we were within our warranty that was voided by replacing the fuse. To sum it all up I had to buy:Thermostat - $100.00 Thermostat wire - $95.00 *************** $175.00 Transformer - $50.00 5 amp fuse -$0.00 ** Prices are so cheap because I am a technician ** What should I do about this company?

            I just had an HVAC system installed by them. First I found they installed my previous used air filter in backwards. Next I found air sucking into the air handler all around the filter box. They never sealed where they joined the air handler with the original media filter box that was installed when the home was built. The handler is in the hot, dusty and humid garage too. Luckily I found it. I stuck a light inside and took several pictures of all the light shining through the gaps. Very unprofessional installation when you dont properly seal and cant install a filter right. I had to buy the materials and DIY because like with many others here, they wont come out to fix it. All they did was shine me on, specifically **** whom I was texting. I recommend anyone who had an install done by them to also inspect for big air leaks. You can also contact the DPR Dept. of Professional Regulation online and file a complaint against them. Just follow the instructions, easy to do. Also contact your local building dept. There is also small claims court for any additional expenses occurred for anything having to be replaced or fixed because of improper installation. Spread the word, dont just complain.
