We contracted with We Will Transport It to move 3 containers. They were fully told about the locations of the containers and scope of job. They hired equipment that wasn't compatible with the situation and then delayed delivery after being paid in full. Once they had the last 2 containers picked up they demanded $4000 additional to deliver them saying that it was our fault for the additional cost. They lied repeatedly about the containers being picked up when they weren't. I spoke to them the day before they actually picked up the last two and nothing was said about additional money. Once they had them in their possession they threatened to take them to a warehouse and not deliver them if I didn't pay the additional $4000. I couldn't risk loosing them so I paid it. Extortion, dishonest, and rude.

First off when **************** called in  to book the order of 3 loaded (****** lbs) shipping containers he gave me the address of *************************************************************, as the pick address and told us that the units were on the right side of his house with no obstructions and all hard ground so we priced him accordingly. Which was $8809 paid via overnighted check. After receiving the check I arranged to have at *************** request 3.  53ft flat bed trailers for the transport and 1. 60 ton crane to load the units after arriving to the property the 1st driver told ** that these units were 2 miles of the highway in the middle of a hunting lease with winding narrow dirt and muddy roads. After the1st driver got on site the crane company called dispatch and told ** that they tried to lift the 1st unit and the crane that we sent as per request of the customer couldnt lift it due to it being way over weight. The crane company told ** that they had to bring a 90 ton crane which was and additional $1400 dollars to load the units as they were clearly over the ******lbs that *************** had told **. The lightest one weighed ****** lbs and please note that we had 2 other 53 ft flat beds sitting outside the gate all day just waiting to get the 1st container loaded. Since the customers dimensions weren't accurate we had to wait for the 90 ton crane to arrive hours later. Around 6pm the 1st driver got loaded and it started raining really bad so the crane company said they couldn't work in these type conditions on unsafe grounds, please note this was on a Friday evening so we told the customer due to the fact that these were heavier and that we had to wait to pay for a larger crane that we would have to go over the revised price at which point he said no matter what we had to get it done because they were selling the land and the owners wanted if off or he would lose the containers. After talking to ************** and *************** the customer (who was on site )to put the remaining 2 on hold until the ground had a chance to dry out which he estimated 2 to 4 weeks as long as they didnt get anymore bad weather. On or around the 3rd week of March he called and said lets get it lined up to get the remaining 2 relocated. We then explained to *************** that it would be an additional $5,000.00 due to the fact that we had to hire extra cranes all over again, due to the contracted specs being incorrect along with the job description.  He said to make it happen and that it didn't matter.

I am rejecting this response because:  This is an outright lie.  We are well aware that there is not hardtop around the containers and said no such thing.  My husband detailed what was contained in the containers and they estimated the weight.  Also the company sent a smaller crane the second time to pick them up as they discovered they were lighter than originally thought.  Lastly when the containers were delivered to my location in Brunswick they were dragged off the semi by a tow truck so hardly the heavy weight they claim.  They didn't even use cranes to off load them because the crane company wouldn't work with them.  They severely dented and put a hole in one of the containers dragging the other one off with the tow truck.  Very dishonest company and their story doesn't match with what happened at all.

    Sincerely,

The job and specifications were not as described. When something weighs more than contracted it will cost more and the same goes for anything additional to the initial agreement, please review the order form which explains this.

I am rejecting this response because:  My husband told you what was in the containers.  You determined the weight based on this not him.  They weighed less than you estimated not more.  Why could you have a smaller crane and no crane at all in Brunswick if they were as heavy as you claim?  Convenient excuse for you to charge people more.  Other companies we contacted saw the exact location on ****** earth?  You would think in your business it is tool you would use too?

To clarify things the address provided on the order form doesn't state different addresses or that there was a few miles difference between locations. The order and what we were contracted for was not as stated. Weights changed, locations and the orders details. More weight and different locations along with having to hire local heavy duty "rotators" is why the rate changed. We fully explained this during the process and your husband had the chance to cancel or say no but proceeded with the job after we explained everything we are talking about in this thread. Just like in any other industry when a jobs details change, specs or the labor increases then so does the rate to ensure things get done correctly.

    Complaint: 19633714

I am rejecting this response because:

The day before they finally picked them up when I asked for my $$ back for the 2 containers they had not picked up yet NOTHING was said about additional costs.  I would have told them to cancel the order.  It was AFTER they had them in their possession I was then told about the additional costs and threatened with them taking the 2 containers to their "storage holding area" which would incurr additional storage costs.  I had not choice at that point but to pay them more to actually get my containers.  No business operates like that.  If additional costs were going to be charged, and by then they fully knew where they were picking them up.  But NOTHING was said about it until it was too late for me to do anything or cancel the other 2 containers.

The pick up isn't miles from the address given address.  It is all my property.

    Sincerely,

Once again we will answer with the same response because nothing has changed. We also do not have an order under your name or have an order for you in our system. The contracted weight was 14klbs total and a 60 ton crane hired which is capable of lifting up to 15klbs and it couldn't lift these containers because they were not as specified and over 20klbs. The cost to hire another crane cost more . The units were not all at the same pick up location as per our signed contract. If driving a few miles for each container is the same address, then we must be missing something. Regardless The job was completed in full and the customer could have cancelled when we explained the cost would be more but proceeded with the order.

    Complaint: 19633714

I am rejecting this response because:  A specific increase in cost was not conveyed or even that there would be an increase in cost before the last 2 containers were picked up.  Bad business practice and no transparency in doing business.  Holding ones goods hostage for more $$ is never legal.  The other two containers were less than a block away from the first one they picked up.  They make is sound like miles.  It was further down my driveway.

Any explanation for putting a hole in the side of the container when they drug them off the truck at my delivery location?  Also dropping in in the middle of my road making it nearly impossible to drive around it?  Guess that is somehow my fault to?

We stayed in communication with the customer and explained what was going on at the time which was fine with the actual customer. Wea re not sure who we are responding too but the actual customer was aware of why the price had changed(because the job details and job description had changed) and he told us to complete the job,"just get it done". As for whatever damage this person is now claiming this is the first time we hear of any damage, and nothing was said or marked off on any paperwork.

I am rejecting this response because:  Here are the pictures of the damage done to the container by dragging it off the transport rather than lifting it off with the crane.  The delivery truck was witnessed doing this by our friend that was meeting the delivery.  The camo tape is covering the puncture so water and insects don't damage our items inside the container.

We will Transpor it is a broker who subs out their work to indepent carriers, you are giving the negative rating to the wrong company if your not full satisfied with the job, then you should go after the company that hauled it. We do not have trucks and the reason the price changed is because the job changed and the driver requested more, you could of declined and went throught the same thing with another company. We as a broker cannot predict what the trucking company is seeing and doing when we are located in an office. Please refere to the company that has hauled the units thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:  I have not idea of the trucks that you contracted to move the containers.  My contract was with you.  My payment was to you.  How would I make a claim about people I have no idea who they even are?  They were your hired agents.  My payment went to your company not them.  I was never offered the opportunity to decline the pick up.  Besides we had to pay you in full before you ever moved the first one and THEN you asked for more to complete the job.  You were actually going to refund me that money?  Highly doubt it.  Most awful company to work with.  You should be investigated by the ******* Department of Transportation.

To clarify things a bit more here and what happens when contracted jobs are not as specified. When there is a signed contract to move more units than in the initial order, change locations and or add more miles to a job would mean the price would go up,for the addtional work. We explained that and gave the option of cancelation leaving everything on site but the customer insisted they wanted to finalize the job and so We Will Transport It did what the customer asked.

This is getting me nowhere.  They did not give us the option to cancel and return our payment in full which we paid after only one container was delivered in good faith.  Their BBB rating needs to be noted that they are impossible to work with an unprofessional.  My money is as gone as it ever was.

Insanity to compare your business operation to Walmart.  More like a hold up in a dark alley.  Your life or your wallet.  Stop trying to sound like a legitimate business when you are dishonest.  BTW refund for the damage to the container seems to be completely forgotten?  Oh right I'm supposed to collect that from your contracted driver without ever having any relationship to them except they hauled the container.

BBB at some point where is your intervention on this?  Or is it up to me to hire an attorney at this point?

Horrible brokers. ******************* up the phone on me multiple times. Its Monday morning ** not arguing about this. They took a customers word on the weight of a machine. I attempted to load the machine and damaged my ramps and the machine almost flipped off my trailer. They take no responsibility for messing up the weight. And will not compensate me for my time or damaged equipment

    Business Response

    Date: 03/30/2023

In response to complaint, you will find attached is the Dispatch Sheet that was signed off on electronically by *********************, on 2/9/23, which includes a time stamp and his IP Address.  On this approved Dispatch Sheet, under the section of Special Instructions, It states in part, "Driver is responsible for contacting sites to confirm time frames, units, and create a bol if one is not provided from loading site."  This same info is again stated in the section Broker Contract Terms.  We provided the specs on the unit as they were provided to us by the customer.  We even referenced the Manufacturers Spec Sheet on the unit which is also attached.  Which also confirmed the weight of the unit.  Ultimately,if there was any question about the weight of the unit, it was the responsibility of the driver to ask any questions and/or to verify the unit prior to loading.  Given the specifications provided by the customer and the spec sheet, we do not believe that the unit weight provided to the driver was not correct. The most feasible explanation, given the data provided is that the integrity of the ramps were already compromised prior to trying to load this piece of equipment.

I am rejecting this response because: there was no manufacturing spec sheet provided to me.   After my incident I called the mechanic that I was going to be delivering this machine to and he confirmed the weight I got from the broker was way off.

    Sincerely,

    *******************

    Business Response

    Date: 04/04/2023

For a point of clarity your response said that "there was no manufacturing spec sheet provided to me [you]."  This is correct, we did not provide this to you, we cross-refrenced it when the customer provided the specs for the unit.  As I stated and as it is stated in the Dispatch Sheet that you signed off on when you accepted the load, "Driver is responsible for contacting sites to confirm time frames, units, and create a bol if one is not provided from loading site."  This same info is again stated in the section Broker Contract Terms.  Once again, if there was any question about the weight of the unit, it was the responsibility of the driver to ask any questions and/or to verify the unit prior to loading.  Which is the terms that you accpeted.  Furthermore, the conversation that you allegedly had with the mechanic where he confirmed the weight, how would know the weight of the unit?  He would have had to reference the same spec sheet that we looked at.  How can he give you a weight of a piece of equipment that he had not seen?  Once again, you signed off on a dispatch sheet acknowledging that you are responsible for confirming the unit, which includes the weight and dimensions.

    Complaint: 19445944

I am rejecting this response because:

you didnt cross reference anything. You did not see the machine just like the mechanic. So your argument is invalid.   I am physically not able to verify the weight of the machine without getting it to a scale.  If the machine was the weight you said it was my ramp would not have broken. After that load I had a 12k pound truck on my trailer.   Loaded it fine.   So tell me how your machine that was supposed to be more than half that weight of that broke my ramps ?   This is just another situation where a broker wont take any responsibility because they have never transported anything.  Just the middle man thats protected.

    Sincerely,

I hired them the move a *******Lbs crane that broke down on a jobsite. They were supposed to haul it to the repair shop location I gave them. After leaving with the load on 8-10-22 the trailer that was hauling the crane broke down a few miles down the road. The driver dropped the crane off in a gravel and left. The driver in the process of moving the crane broke the front windshield out of the crane. The windshield cost ******* to get replaced. Art called me when the trailer broke down and told me the crane weighted closer to ******* Lbs not the ******* Lbs that I told him. I could not see how that was possible. He told me he could get another truck to haul it but it would now cost almost ********* on top of the ******* he originally told me it was going to cost because of the extra weight. I told him I would half to find a different way to move it. He went ahead and ran my credit card right away and ended up charging me ******* for what they did. I knew from all the spec sheets on the crane there was no way the crane weight that much. After a couple of months in the shop for repairs. I took the crane to a CAT certified scale and weighed it. It ended up being ***** Lbs under what I told him it weighed. I have sent him the weight ticket and pictures that he requested to prove that I was right on the weight. I called Art 4 different times and each time just said he would look into it. Now I call him on a daily basic and won't answer or return any of my calls.

After reviewing the complaint, and researching the order, here is what has been determined.  Attached you will see pictures of the unit loaded on our trailer.  The Customer originally told us that the unit was 110,000lbs.  We sent out a trailer that would accommodate this weight.  Once the unit was loaded, the trailer buckled and cracked because the weight provided was not accurate.  It was determined after researching the original specification sheet for the unit that the actual weight was probably around 132,000lbs.  The scale ticket that was provided by the customer does not and cannot include the counterweights that were still on the unit when the unit was loaded on our trailer.  We had about $18,000 worth of damage to our trailer because of the miscalculation of the weight by the customer.  In addition, we had to pay additional fees for additional drivers that were sent to pick up the unit once the original trailer was damaged but because there was a discrepancy on the weight of the unit, the additional drivers declined the load and charged us a dry run fee for going out there to the unit.

I am rejecting this response because: Number one ************** on this crane is very complicated to read unless you actually know the machine. So them telling me they looked at ************** and know what they are looking at is a lie. I went over ************** with Art and ************** is exactly right on and the weight ticket I sent with all the pictures WE and They have proves it. They sent out a trailer which was compromised that I'm sure no one knew about and just happened too break hauling my load. Now they are finding any excuse to get out of refunding me my money and damages to the crane. I hired them to do a job that they didn't get done and cost me thousands of dollars more to get it done on top of what I paid them. The only resolve here is to refund my money and pay for the damages.

    Sincerely,
