Horrible brokers. ******************* up the phone on me multiple times. Its Monday morning ** not arguing about this. They took a customers word on the weight of a machine. I attempted to load the machine and damaged my ramps and the machine almost flipped off my trailer. They take no responsibility for messing up the weight. And will not compensate me for my time or damaged equipment

In response to complaint, you will find attached is the Dispatch Sheet that was signed off on electronically by *********************, on 2/9/23, which includes a time stamp and his IP Address.  On this approved Dispatch Sheet, under the section of Special Instructions, It states in part, "Driver is responsible for contacting sites to confirm time frames, units, and create a bol if one is not provided from loading site."  This same info is again stated in the section Broker Contract Terms.  We provided the specs on the unit as they were provided to us by the customer.  We even referenced the Manufacturers Spec Sheet on the unit which is also attached.  Which also confirmed the weight of the unit.  Ultimately,if there was any question about the weight of the unit, it was the responsibility of the driver to ask any questions and/or to verify the unit prior to loading.  Given the specifications provided by the customer and the spec sheet, we do not believe that the unit weight provided to the driver was not correct. The most feasible explanation, given the data provided is that the integrity of the ramps were already compromised prior to trying to load this piece of equipment.

I am rejecting this response because: there was no manufacturing spec sheet provided to me.   After my incident I called the mechanic that I was going to be delivering this machine to and he confirmed the weight I got from the broker was way off.

    Sincerely,

For a point of clarity your response said that "there was no manufacturing spec sheet provided to me [you]."  This is correct, we did not provide this to you, we cross-refrenced it when the customer provided the specs for the unit.  As I stated and as it is stated in the Dispatch Sheet that you signed off on when you accepted the load, "Driver is responsible for contacting sites to confirm time frames, units, and create a bol if one is not provided from loading site."  This same info is again stated in the section Broker Contract Terms.  Once again, if there was any question about the weight of the unit, it was the responsibility of the driver to ask any questions and/or to verify the unit prior to loading.  Which is the terms that you accpeted.  Furthermore, the conversation that you allegedly had with the mechanic where he confirmed the weight, how would know the weight of the unit?  He would have had to reference the same spec sheet that we looked at.  How can he give you a weight of a piece of equipment that he had not seen?  Once again, you signed off on a dispatch sheet acknowledging that you are responsible for confirming the unit, which includes the weight and dimensions.

I am rejecting this response because:

you didnt cross reference anything. You did not see the machine just like the mechanic. So your argument is invalid.   I am physically not able to verify the weight of the machine without getting it to a scale.  If the machine was the weight you said it was my ramp would not have broken. After that load I had a 12k pound truck on my trailer.   Loaded it fine.   So tell me how your machine that was supposed to be more than half that weight of that broke my ramps ?   This is just another situation where a broker wont take any responsibility because they have never transported anything.  Just the middle man thats protected.

    Sincerely,

I hired them the move a *******Lbs crane that broke down on a jobsite. They were supposed to haul it to the repair shop location I gave them. After leaving with the load on 8-10-22 the trailer that was hauling the crane broke down a few miles down the road. The driver dropped the crane off in a gravel and left. The driver in the process of moving the crane broke the front windshield out of the crane. The windshield cost ******* to get replaced. Art called me when the trailer broke down and told me the crane weighted closer to ******* Lbs not the ******* Lbs that I told him. I could not see how that was possible. He told me he could get another truck to haul it but it would now cost almost ********* on top of the ******* he originally told me it was going to cost because of the extra weight. I told him I would half to find a different way to move it. He went ahead and ran my credit card right away and ended up charging me ******* for what they did. I knew from all the spec sheets on the crane there was no way the crane weight that much. After a couple of months in the shop for repairs. I took the crane to a CAT certified scale and weighed it. It ended up being ***** Lbs under what I told him it weighed. I have sent him the weight ticket and pictures that he requested to prove that I was right on the weight. I called Art 4 different times and each time just said he would look into it. Now I call him on a daily basic and won't answer or return any of my calls.

After reviewing the complaint, and researching the order, here is what has been determined.  Attached you will see pictures of the unit loaded on our trailer.  The Customer originally told us that the unit was 110,000lbs.  We sent out a trailer that would accommodate this weight.  Once the unit was loaded, the trailer buckled and cracked because the weight provided was not accurate.  It was determined after researching the original specification sheet for the unit that the actual weight was probably around 132,000lbs.  The scale ticket that was provided by the customer does not and cannot include the counterweights that were still on the unit when the unit was loaded on our trailer.  We had about $18,000 worth of damage to our trailer because of the miscalculation of the weight by the customer.  In addition, we had to pay additional fees for additional drivers that were sent to pick up the unit once the original trailer was damaged but because there was a discrepancy on the weight of the unit, the additional drivers declined the load and charged us a dry run fee for going out there to the unit.

I am rejecting this response because: Number one ************** on this crane is very complicated to read unless you actually know the machine. So them telling me they looked at ************** and know what they are looking at is a lie. I went over ************** with Art and ************** is exactly right on and the weight ticket I sent with all the pictures WE and They have proves it. They sent out a trailer which was compromised that I'm sure no one knew about and just happened too break hauling my load. Now they are finding any excuse to get out of refunding me my money and damages to the crane. I hired them to do a job that they didn't get done and cost me thousands of dollars more to get it done on top of what I paid them. The only resolve here is to refund my money and pay for the damages.

    Sincerely,

I signed a contract to have this company ship my truck from ** to *****. I gave them the dimensions of the truck and a picture of the truck, all in a text message. They said it would be cheaper if I shipped from **** instead of NY. So my worker drove the truck to **** from Ny which costs me gas, time and labor costs. When we showed up on August 29th, the guy from their company came with a small trailer and was completely clueless. He could not get the truck on the trailer. The guy named *** said that he had another trailer just around the corner and he would be there instead. He said the truck was taller then he thought, which was a lie. It was measured by the trucking company. The 2nd trailer never showed up , he then told me he would be there today at 10am. I told him that he was wasting my time that we had to have the truck out to ***** by the 5th of September to work on the railroad. He told me that the trailer would be there. He texted me again and said sorry the driver cancelled! then Complete SILENCE. No response or text back. They also took my credit card and I had to cancel it in case they took my money, which they have a history of, there ******** reveiws are terrible, how is this company still in business. They lie and cheat.

Based on the specs provided we were contracted to move this unit with an Rgn trailer and to get the rate down offered a different origin to load which saved the customer a significant amount. Once the driver was dispatched the dimensions were off and the unit taller which required a different style Removable goose neck that could extend. An additional driver was dispatched out to load on 8/30/22 which was the actual date they signed off on as the first date of availability, but the customer refused and decided to drive it themselves the rest of the trip.
