June 9th is when they cashed my check I was told my stuff would be moved with another family to ********** and my stuff would get here a few days later. The guy showed up to pick up my things and told me that my stuff was more than what I paid for, and it would be another $500.00 then he told me my stuff was going to a warehouse, and it would be picked up in 7-21 days. that is when I cancelled it. I put my downpayment under false pretenses.I cannot add the estimate to the complaint because they took it off the link.

On the 26th I talked to ***** and stated that I wasn't sure if I was going this route, so on July 27th I sent him an email for cancellation. I left several voice messages for him. I would like for Swift Shift to refund my $299.00

SWIFT SHIFT MOVING (****) gave us the estimate of $ ***** for moving our household goods and property from ******, ** to ***************, *******. On 07/10/24 they sent a trucker who came 10.5 hrs late at 10:30 in the night to pick up the stuff and raised the est from $ 5000 to $1*****. When we complained they sent another company ****************************** From Point, **. Tel: ************) and they started packing and loading, After loading 2/3rd of our stuff they demanded $ ******. When we complained to ****, he threatened us and started screaming at us. Under protest we paid them $ 8000 ( $2000 initial deposit and $ ***** on 07/10/24) . The moving company was supposed to come back the next morning to pick up the rest of the stuff but they never showed up. Our 1/3rd of the stuff was left in the garage. The next morning they sent us a text - "On the way to *******". We had to arrange with a *********** to move the remaining stuff and get it transported to *******. But the original truck with 2/3 of our stuff is still not delivered in ***************. Every day we call /text both companies, they promise they will deliver but NO DELIVERY YET. Stuff was picked up on 07/10/24 today is 08/06/24. PLEASE HELP. We are without furniture or personal goods, and our official documents are in the truck.

I contracted Swift Shift Moving to help me relocate from ******** to ******** roughly a month and one week prior to my move. I gave them a general estimate of my inventory, they quoted me a little over $1900 with a $500 deposit. We confirmed, I paid, and thenweek before my move, we had a follow up where I sent a complete box count (including size) and any additional furniture (including pictures to help with size and dimensions). My price went up (I knew it wpuld). I paid the additionally $551 deposit and was told I would need to pay $970 at pick-up and at drop off. June 3rd the contracted movers arrive and begin packing. They claim my desk, piesafe and small TV wood table are not what I inventories, despite me showing the email and the pictures to them. They said I owed an additional $871.13 that day. Ridiculous. But I had no choice as they already had all my belongings. Having only 1 money order for them, they said they take ZELLE. After typing in their info, I asked if it looked right. He confirmed. The money then was erroneously sent to Swift Shift instead of the contacted movers. The mistake was realized pretty quickly--Swift called me and said they needed to issue me a refund and it may take a few days. So we had to pay ANOTHER $871.13 to the movers (over $1700 more that day than expected). Since that day, I have spoken to *********************** at the company nearly every day who continues to tell me that the owner is on vacation, they haven't talked to the accountant yet, for the refund, they just haven't gotten to it, etc. It has now been 17 days without a refund and they have stopped answering my messages. Additionally, they did admit that the additional $871.13 was money owed to them from the movers, not me. So it should be refunded. But I have no refund, no answer, and no want to pay my rent at this point.
