I purchased a course 714 2024 for the anticipation of being ordered by a court to take a DUI course. I have completed mycase now through the court system which took longer than the 30 days mentioned on the website for a refund and I have learned that the not accepted by the state. The county I live in is not listed as one of the counties where the course is not accepted. It isnot very clear that the course is not approved and the implication is that the course is approved on the website They didnt recommended. I take another course and they will credit me a portion of the money and then I would have to pay more money for course. I dont particularly want any money from them, but I want them to change that it is clear to people that the course is accepted by the state as an approved DUI CourseBusiness Response

Since 2015, as a courtesy to those who may end up on our website in error, we have placed a very large yellow note on our website that clearly indicates that this course is NOT approved for DUI's. The course is for NON driving related issues ONLY, as again indicated on the website. We do not advertise nor make ANY claims that our course will satisfy a DUI. If someone takes our course in error and informs us that they have taken this course to satisfy a DUI requirement and misses the website notice that explains it is NOT for DUIs and does so within the refund period, we will happily refund them.Initial Complaint

On 05/17/24 I enrolled in a course though this institute who claimed they guaranteed acceptance for this court ordered course I had and after sending emails to verify they accepted the course in that county, they assured me they in fact did so. The courts do NOT accept this course, under no circumstances, this school refused to refund my money, instead offered me to take another one of their bogus classes and at this time states that its been more than 30 days since purchasing the course so I did not qualify for a refund. The courts do not even process revocation of non- compliance for a month. If they at least will not refund my money they need to remove Allen County ******* from their accepted courses because the judge explained to me under no circumstances for any reason would the course from this institution be accepted in this country, so they are intentionally de-frauding people out of their money for gain.Customer Answer

Hello *******,
As a one time courtesy, we have issued a refund to you.
$45.00 was refunded Transaction confirmation #**********. A refund receipt was emailed to *************************.
Please allow 3-7 business days before the funds will appear back onto your card due to your financial institution's processing time.
It is important to note that everyone's legal case is different in each county and every Judge has the individual authority to accept or deny a course certificate.
Fortunately, we have over a 99.9% certificate acceptance rate. We are sorry to hear that in your case, your Judge did not accept the certificate and we do have a 30 day refund policy as per the terms that all student's read and agree to prior to payment.
We hope that this courtesy refund resolves your issue.
Best Regards,****

I signed up for a course and it did not inform me about the policies or anything like that. I contacted the number listed on the website, and it then wanted me to email or text the number so I did within 5-10 minutes of signing up and sending the money over so I could start the course. Then this morning I got a response from some guy named Paul who also said he was a senior supervisor. I tried to explain to this person that there was no policy or anything and he was insistent that I get a professional letter written by a lawyer or someone like that so that they could refund me my money. I also tried to explain to this person that I contacted within 5-10 minutes of signing up and making the payment and they really didn't care. I also stated that I wouldn't have paid the money if there was a brief outline or a review of what I was going to be learning in the course and this person ignored that and was just really mean and rude to me. I also have tried calling a couple of other times and the person is refusing to answer my calls or anything. I also tried filing a complaint with them a different way saying I found something better and cheaper and they said to send them the website and they will match the price and refund me my money that way but when I told them that I found one for free the person came back and said they can't do that or refund me money because of policy procedure that I didn't see on the website whatsoever. I feel like this is a scam and I really really need and want my money back as soon as possible.Business Response

Hello,
**** ****** called us on 10/26/2023 AT 10:39 PM EDT and then texted us at 10:40PM EDT "Hi my name is **** ****** I thought this was a different course than what I needed and I need a refund back on the $85.00 I sent to you guys" I replied at 10/27/2023 AT 6:32 AM "As per the terms and conditions that all students read and agree to prior to payment during registration and enrollment, we will refund only with written proof of a course/certificate rejection, within 30 days of payment.
So, you can have a legal professional send us an email to [email protected] indicating that the course/certificate was not accepted, which will satisfy as proof of rejection. (Screenshots are not acceptable proof of rejection, we require the original email forwarded to us).
Once we receive the proof of rejection, we will immediately review it for refund processing and or ask for additional clarification if needed."For some reason Siri had some idea that we are her words "a useless Domestic Violence class". She also said "you guys didn't even have the option to look at the course ahead of time to see if it was what someone needs." We clearly provide information about the course topics on the website for all to see before a purchase is made located here: *********************************************** Further, any client can always email and or text us (and many do) to inquire about additional course details and Siri did not contact us until after a purchase is made.
This online Domestic Violence Class is recognized throughout the United States and satisfies court, legal, and employment requirements.
Our course instructor is a Certified Domestic Violence Specialist (CDVS-1).We have been in business since 2012 have many national credentials and approvals **************************************. We have serviced over 1.4 million clients and have tens of thousands of legal entities who refer their clients to our courses.
When anyone enrolls in our courses and makes a payment, we incur many business expenses. So, although Siri did not complete the course, we are still charged for tech services as well as financial fees from the credit card company, not to mention the labor costs.
This is why we have a very clear refund policy which is presented to all clients BEFORE a payment is made which requires acceptance and agreement before anyone can enroll and pay for a course. It appears that Siri has some concern about our company and or our course and was under the impression that she would be able to obtain a refund because she only contacted us 10-15 minutes after she paid. That is not the case as per the refund policy she read and agreed to prior to payment. I have attached the screenshots from her course and the digital proof that she read and accepted them as well as the digital fingerprint that it was from her.
Again, as previously mentioned, we are clearly a legitimate course provider with national credentials and acceptances.
No proof of rejection was provided, therefore we are unable to offer a refund.
Best Regards,
Paul
