I reserved a car through this company using Priceline as a package for a longer trip as my rental car company. I paid the price to so I assumed that I was good to go when I got to the car rental place. However, after a long day of traveling. And two flight delays we finally made it to the car rental place. We were retired and exhausted and just ready to get to the hotel and so it mustve shown on our face because the guy at the car rental place conned me thinking that I had to have insurance for the car rental. Under Florida law you did not have to buy insurance through the car company as as you are a fully insured driver, which I am, but this guy let us on to believe that this was the only way that wecould drive off in the car as if we took the insurance policy. So then I end up paying another $400 in fees to this con artist business. I finally leave we get the car. The car is filthy inside. It has not been cleaned. All the other cars have been detailed and are sitting outside thegate, but ours is inside the gate and filthy inside. Dont waste your money or time on this place there are far better reputable companies in the ***************************** area whether on site or offside dont use this one. I will never use this company again as they are absolutely pathetic and rude and dont deserve to be in business.Business Response

Thank you for your feedback. Were sorry to hear that your experience didnt meet your expectations. To clarify, our insurance policy is outlined in the Rental Policies, which are provided once a reservation is confirmed. These policies state that:
All renters must provide proof of full coverage (Comprehensive, Collision, and Liability) by presenting a valid insurance declaration page. If proof of coverage is not presented at pickup, insurance must be purchased at the counter.
Coverage rates vary by vehicle type, and this requirement is standard practice in the car rental industry. While Florida law allows renters to use their own insurance, it also places the responsibility on the renter to provide proof at the time of pickup. If no proof is shown, our team is obligated to offer coverage to ensure the rental proceeds safely and in compliance with policy. Regarding the condition of the vehicle, we apologize if it didnt meet expectations. This is not typical, and we will be addressing it with our cleaning team. I rented a vehicle from this company on 6/13-6/20/2025. I would like to file a complaint based on the fact that I have not received my deposit back from this car rental business. My initial phone call was 6/20 after I returned the rental vehicle. I was notified at that time that it would take 7 to 14 days to receive the $500 deposit that I put down utilizing my debit card. I called back on 6/28 at which time I was told that it would take 7 to 21 days to receive my $500 deposit back. At this time I asked for the number to the corporate office at which time I was told that this is a private owned business and they dont have a corporate office. I then informed the representative that I will call back on 7/4. The car rental company took the time to debit my card $12.00 per day plus tax on 6/20 as an extra charge for utilizing my debit card after I returned the rental car but has yet to return my deposit.Business Response

Please note that the $500 deposit placed at the time of rental is a hold, not a charge, and is released back to your account after the vehicle is returned in good condition. As discussed during your rental and confirmed by our staff, holds placed on debit cards can take 7 to ********************************************************************* your available balance.
This means the deposit should be released between July 1 and July 21, 2025. Regarding the $12/day debit card fee plus tax, this fee was disclosed and agreed upon at the time of rental. It applies to all customers using a debit card and was processed upon the return of the vehicle. If you do not see the funds released by July 21, 2025, please reach back out to us so we can assist you further, including providing documentation for your bank or initiating a trace.

4 hours ago New Beware of this company. I am a local ******* residemt. I rented my van through Orbitz for a week so my family could take a trip to **************. First part is probably my fault. I didnt read in the fine print they would charge triple the price to go out of state. I prepayed in Feb $500. They charged me an additional $1125 to drive it out of state. these people are so rude. I received the van dirty and several damage marks around the vehicle which they give you an Ipad for you to go alone and "make" notes of any damage. then you immediately hand them the Ipad and do not rwceive a copy of proof of the damage you found. I was lied to, and tricked at the time of my car rental pick up. My car I reserved and p***aid for was told to me that it was unavailable, and it sat on the lot for hours, as did I. I was told cars were held for 2 hours, but I was within my original pick up window and was told my original vehicle was not available. I called around to get other car prices, and tried to figure out my plan. My original vehicle stayed on the lot, but I wss told it was for someone else, and I watched it for 2 hours while makinh calls and figuring out what I was going to do Then when I proceeded to rent a vehicle after waiting for 2 hours, my discount that I used to p***ay was not applied like it was for my original rental agreement. Then I was upcharged to a Dodge Challenger, and then after signing for a Challenger, my vehicle at time of doing my walk through was switched to a Dodge Charger. I did not sign any paperwork for a Charger. Sales *** walked up and switched oit paperwork with no new signatures. I was told the 2 cars were the same exact vehicle class, and it was not till after I called back once my charges were finalized to confirm via the phone I was told that they are not the same class, and a Challenger has a higher cost. I also waited till after my rental period was over because I read the reviews late, and did not want to give the company a chance to lie about the car conditions after dropping the car off. There are numerous complaints about this company doing so. So these predatory practices are illegal, and I demand resolution, or legal action will be taken. Also, I need the level of customer service addressed in regards to.the female in the office who answered the phone today 2/19/25. She started yelling at me, and getting defensive once she realized she answered my questions showing fault on your company's behalf. I demand a difference in price from what I originally paid online, and was supposed to be charged from what I was lied to and charged in person in office.Initial Complaint

I am are reaching out regarding the incorrect toll charges that have been applied to our rental. NuCar/Action has attempted several times to charge my CC for fees we did not incur during our trip. After reviewing the charges, we can confirm that we did not pass through the tolls listed on the invoice sent by NuCar/Action. To support my claim, I have screenshots that I will attach and videos (that I can also provide) from ****** Maps that clearly show our locations during the dates and times in question. These records confirm:Some tolls were charged after we had already returned the vehicle and were at the airport.Others were charged at times when we were asleep, with proof of our location elsewhere.I am extremely frustrated to be facing these erroneous charges and I dont believe this to be an error but to be purposefully fraudulent activity.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand your concerns regarding the unpaid tolls and the associated charges. To clarify, the customer rented a vehicle from us, and during the rental period, the vehicle passed through several tolls that remain unpaid. As outlined in the rental agreement, the customer is responsible for covering any tolls incurred during the rental. Unfortunately, when the toll charges were processed, the customer's credit card was declined, and the toll agency subsequently forwarded the unpaid balance to collections. We understand that you have provided location data from your phone to support your claim of being the driver during the rental period. However, we must clarify that location data alone is insufficient to definitively prove that you were driving the vehicle at the time the tolls were incurred. The location data could reflect someone else's activity or may have been recorded by another device entirely. As such, we cannot accept this data as conclusive proof of who was operating the vehicle during that time. In accordance with the rental agreement, we have provided you with all necessary documentation, including the toll violation notice, and have informed you of your responsibility to settle the outstanding tolls. Despite our efforts to resolve this issue directly, the balance remains unresolved and has now been escalated to collections.
Additionally, the rental agreement that you submitted appears to be for a previous rental, dated September, and not the one associated with the toll charges in question in which she also passed unpaid tolls. The order number associated with these charges is *********.This discrepancy further complicates the resolution of the matter. We understand your frustration, but as the toll charges were incurred during the rental period, we are unable to waive or adjust the charges. Weve rented many times over the course of 13 years as we visit the ******* area frequently.
I absolutely reject Nu Cars response because we have proof and provided proof that we did not travel through tolls and incur charges. How were we charged for tolls that were incurred after we returned the rental? We have the proof of all our locations directly on the device of the driver and can prove ownership of the phone to match the driver. The driver is on the contract as an additional driver. Why is time stamped locations submissable in court but not in this case? This is clearly a case of this company taking advantage of its customers and it is fraud. Their many reviews online from other customers confirm ***** is fraudulent statung similar claims against the company. This company is going to continue charge fraudulent fees and send innocent customers to collections because no one has done anything to stop them. This is literally a crime.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have clearly stated and provided solid evidence/documentation proving that I did not incur any toll charges/pass through any tolls. (My entire travel log was recorded and stamped through ****** earth) They have even charged us for tolls time stamped after we returned the vehicle. If you look at our location history you can clearly see this. Therefor, I should have never been charged.
The fact that NuCar refuses to acknowledge my claim of the charges/discrepancies as erroneous on their behalf is alarming and concerning. The company is completely uninterested in investigating whether there is any truth to what I am claiming. The manner in which they have responded to my request to resolve this matter is unprofessional.
I believe NuCar is unconcerned that they are wrongfully charging ********s because they are purposefully and intentionally participating in fraudulent business practices.Clearly $117 is no longer the issue here. I would happily pay it if I had indeed accrued these charges. This company is ripping people off and they need to be investigated and held accountable.
I am not the first ******** that they have committed fraud against and I certainly wont be the last. This business practices dishonest business practices.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024 I flew in *******, ******* and rented a car from Action Car Rental. I was told I HAD TO get their toll pass, which came to $114.73. On October ****** the Governor of Florida made all tolls free due to Hurricane ******. I have uploaded pictures that prove I was in ************ on Monday ( in *******) and Tuesday. On Wednesday I sent a picture of us on the stairs protecting ourselves from the Hurricane and Tornadoes. Thursday everything was closed. On Friday we were in ******* again at *****. I have uploaded pictures also proving we were there on Friday. On Saturday we flew out and had to have the car back at 3:30. Again all this time tolls were free until Monday, October *******. On 7/23/24 7/24/24 and 7/29/24 I was charged tolls for driving on toll roads in ******* fl. I never drove on a toll road on those day or ever . They falsified a document from the Central **************************** saying I was driving at certain times and I have photo proof I was in ****** world all day .
