This company is a bunch of scammers. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! We rented a van from them for a week in *******. Told the agent we wanted no optional insurance. I was charged $149 and was told by the agent this is the deposit and I put it on my credit card to be safe. Well the money wasnt refunded after 21 days (per their website). I attempted to contact them twice and was unable to get anyone on the phone. Disputed the charge with my credit card company and they sent a falsified document with initials for the insurance!!! Thank goodness I kept the original paperwork! This is criminal to falsifying documents and I plan to go after them! Do not make the mistake of renting with this company!!Review from Louie L

Horrible place with horrible workers. Rude and unprofessional. Of the many issues we had, this one caused the most stress.My father in law and I were told to have a $200 deposit charged to my card while renting the van and after returning was told by the employee we will be refunded within 7 to 21 business days. My father in law, who's rental was under his name, was told the $200 deposit was refunded after we waited 21 business days. When I didn't see it nor did my bank, I called Action car Rental only to be met with one rude lady lying that there never was a deposit and that it was random charges for renting their van. Luckily my bank was able to dispute it and I was finally refunded within 2 days. Stay away from this rental place.Review from Linda L

I rented a Kia ***** from Action Car Rental from December 29th-January 8th. I had to show proof of car insurance. I have State Farm in **. Then they told me that they will charge **** per day because I used a debit card instead of a credit card. Then they said that the toll package was ***** per day. I have an ** Pass from ** that I even brought with me. This pass is supposed to work in 14 states but they told me that the ** pass had to be verified before I can use it. I thought that I was getting a good deal because the car rental was only ***** per day but if you add up all of that and the extra charges ( taxes and the extra line charges of fees it ends up costing probably more than my flight). I added two more days to my rental because they was a snowstorm that would hit the Northeast on the day of my travel so I was able to change my flight for no additional charge but I had to pay ****** more for those two days. I did have a great time visiting friends but I will rethink my rental car arrangements for next time because that was just too much.Review from Jennifer M

BEWARE! This rental company will come and take your rental middle of the night while under a contract and after you PAID without you knowing until you go to leave for a day of fun at Disney World only to find your rental MISSING! This is what they did to me after I extended, after they charged my credit card, after I signed a new contract. Went to leave to one of the Disney Theme parks and car was GONE. Yes GONE. I had one of the resort employees get a couple security guards to check all over in front of my tower but the cars were all gone as people had left for that day already so the parking lots were empty. No o w was answering at the rental car company even when pressing their “option 3” as if something were wrong. Let’s suppose you had an emergency with the car and needed their assistance…no one answered. Security guards called Orange County police to get them involved because we all thought someone stole the rental. It wasn’t until I looked on my missed calls on my phone and saw a Tampa Fl phone number on it and called to see who it was and what that call was about that I learned it was an employee of Action Rental Car informed me that he was an employee of Action and stated “the manager tried to contact me and coulda they came and took the car”. Why would a manager or company take a rental after being charged and renewing a extended week?! And because they couldn’t reach me they TOOK THE RENTAL?! AND BEWARE THEY ALSO GO BY THE NAME OF ** WHEN BOOKING!! I INSTANTLY REACHED OUT TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO REPORT THE CHARGE BECAUSE THEY TOOK A RENTAL PAID FOR. ALSO THIS RENTAL COMPANY IS NOT AT THE AIRPORT, it is off sight and you have to wait for about 30 - 45 minutes for a shuttle to bring you and the weight once you get there is REDICULOUS because everyone rushes to get off the shuttle to be the first to check you in for your reservation, and a full shuttle even in slow months (we went beginning of November for 2 weeks).Review from Patricia P

Charged my credit card a month later with no additional details on the invoice. I can't reach anyone via phone (tried all extensions multiple times), online chat (just a robot) or via submitting multiple tickets on their website. There is just no way to ask a question. Will be calling my credit card now to refuse the charge. Last time I used them.Review from Amy M

Average prices car but forced me to pay for an expensive toll package even though I had my own EXPASS. My friends also rented but elsewhere and both had a choice. One declined and paid cash for tolls which I was told you couldn’t do and another paid a lot less for a toll package. Ripped me offReview from Haydiri M

Mike the manager stole 4 thousand dollars from mei when there trying to get a car this place is a rental and they have a buy here pay here on the side I don’t know how. The car he gave me was bad i used it for a month then he agree on giving me my money back and charging me the month that i used i was ok with that at the last minute I’m still waiting for my deposit 3,400 dollars remaining I’m very frustrating about this case i have to force myself working alot to save 4k and he taking my money like that now he don’t want to give it back to me I don’t have a car and I don’t have the money please i need help . I would give them a zero star customer service is terrible at the location as well as on the phone I have read some of the complaints and everybody's complaining about the same thing they hang up on you refuse to give me my $200 deposit back charge me for things I was not informed about we rented it for 5 days paid for it online then when we got there they nailed us for insurance which I was okay with and for the EZ pass which I was okay with but not everything else that they have in their statement trying to talk to a manager or any of the employees is like talking to a wall they are extremely rude and arrogant I would never do business with these people again and I would stay away from themReview from Lisa H

Calling this week . Cancelled our reservation because the drive was arguing for me to take my baby out of his car seat and hold him on my lap. The office was terrible. Reading the reviews and now my only rental issues after traveling 20 + years With many rental Companies - Never an issue till we rented from this place. Went to Alamo and are finally enjoying after 10 of us were stranded - I would give a zero if allowed-Review from Russell P

0 star, eventhoughIwas forced to denote a rating! This company is a scam. They don't honor the price quoted and insist on charging for limited liability for out of state residents coverage regardless of insurance provide by credit car company.
