OWNSBY LAW IS A SCAM! I hired Ownsby law for a child custody case on March 7,2023 I was told as long as my case did not go to trail I would pay $3,000 in total for this case. Not only did they lie to me they charged me for phone calls and emails that I had no clue I was being charged for. I listed the charges below. I was contacted today (05/10/2023 saying that my case would be an additional $1500.00 for ***** ***** to appear for the mediation. I specifically ask all of these questions about the cost of services and was continuously lied to. This is unethical and recks of no morals! How can you take someone's hard earned money and charge them $300.00 for a 15-minute conversation. I am livid after the receptionist told me she would call me back to see if ***** ***** would at least file my interrogatories and mandatory disclosure that she charged me for that I could have gotten free online. I was also charged for her notifying me of 2 court date changes that I had already received and knew about from the courts. I really hope no one is in need of legal help and goes through this company. I am disappointed and upset this has happened to me and my son. I am now out of $1500.00 while currently in nursing school. Shame on this company for handling business in this matter. Instead of a phone call I received a notice of withdrawal for me to sign.
