Business claimed I would receive my security deposit back in a matter of days. I was expecting to receive my deposit back before the due date on a vehicle I was intending to purchase from them. The refund was never processed by ABettedBid and at the end, I was thrown additional fees for not paying on time. I will never consider doing any type of business with entity again.Business Response

According to our terms and conditions the security deposit is refunded only after the purchased vehicle is paid for and picked up from the auction yard. As the purchased vehicle was never paid for, the relist fee was applied and the security deposit deposit was applied towards the relist fee. I am rejecting this response because:I had requested a refund of my security deposit prior to winning any bid on a vehicle. The business sent me an email notifying me that the refund was being processed. A.BetterBid deliberately misinformed me by sending me said email and due to their misguidance I was unable to finalized the purchase of any vehicle through their website. I put my trust in them as a reputable business, and I trusted the information they provided on email in regards to my security deposit being processed for refund. If the refund had been processed and if I had received it back into my bank account then I would have had the funds to finalize the purchase of the vehicle I was intending to acquire. Trusting this business was definitely my mistake; however due to their true negligence in misinforming the public when it comes to security deposits being processed for refund proves how this business implements tactics that deliberate misguide the general public into unpleasant experiences. I am not the type of person who takes legal action (civil ligation) easily against a business, but when businesses purposely misguide me with misinformation then I am left with no choice than to take all measurements necessary to prevent others from going into similar experiences.

We have received several emails from ******************* asking about won lot number and security deposit. So if the wallet was stolen than there was email address and the phone number and the robber has access to this email address. I have been deceived by this company, they have used deceitful, shady, unfair business tactics to acquire my business. This company has lied to me refused to help me transport my vehicle, refused to give me proper information. Refused to let me speak to manager or supervisor. Refused to set up appointment to help me get vehicle picked up, charged me storage feees, lied about the cost of stoarage fees, didnt disclose certain information regarding purchase, they held my vehicle hostage with the transport and shipping companies, waited weeks to help me acquire a driver or transport. Also while in auction, I was able to accidentially bid against myself which drive the price of the truck way up. The companies this business is partners with created a bidding war on a piece of c*** truck that wasnt worth anything. They purposely cause the price of this auction and fees to to be ridiculous and refused to help me with anything from time of purchase. They tried to make us so i would have to abandon my purchase or pay crazy storage fees and other unnecessary costs. They made me purchase the vehicle through a broker and the broker refused to help me get the truck or help with anything. Once purchased they left me hanging for over 7 days knowing I *************. After roughly 5 days of no communication, no response, no help from supervisors and lower level company employees I have finally received a response back that was not even remotely close to what we were looking for.A better bed has over 3000 complaints about their website malfunctioning during their auctions of repossessed and damaged vehicles.I am in ****** 4300 miles away from their auction center and during this recent auction and others, the auction site was malfunctioning. We informed him of this many times before and clearly it has not been rectified.We have found that when bidding on certain items, we would have to log out of the auction and log back in all of this is documented on their servers. Because the bid button wouldnt work, or we would be pressing, bid on an item, and all of a sudden we would be bidding on the next item in which we did not bid.When an auction has over 1200 people find that their auction website malfunctions all the time the volume doesnt work the screen doesnt refresh items are delayed and lagged. The more people on the auction, the more the website breaks down.We have been nothing but loyal customers always paid our bills and purchased our items on time. There was an item that was bid without our knowledge and that without our privilege for A 1979 broken down RV in which we would obviously have no use for because were in ****** and there would be no way to transport this item. We have notified them of this issue. All they have done is use automated message responses no one has called me. They refused to let any and supervisor handle the issue We are willing to continue being good customers and pay for the item that we did purchase and let bygones be bygones, but they will not help us. They will not speak to us. The customer is not the first time buyer and knows how the website works. Everyday our customers purchase about 100 vehicles and no one claims the website is not working. It is clearly said in our terms and conditions that ******** are final and can not be cancelled. We ask our customers be very attentive while bidding. Unfortunatelly what was purchased by mistake can not be cancelled. I was interested in finding a project vehicle on COPART. I decided to use A Better Bid. I checked the shipping quote before I placed a bid which was $261 after bidding and winning the vehicle I was sent the invoice. I was actually sent two invoices. One invoice was improper it had incorrect dates. I did receive a correct invoice. I also received a shipping quote for $490 dollars almost double the initial shipping quote. I had my bank wire the funds for the purchase within the 26 hour window I was given. Yet website claims 2 days. Now the shipping quote is $700. This is cut and dry bait and switch.Business Response

Lot ********. I was the highest bidder, but needed approval. The seller countered, and I stayed with my original bid. I was awaiting an email that the seller either accepted, countered, or rejected per their website. I did not receive that email. Today I have an email that shows the item is relisted, and that I have another chance to bid on it. I don't want another chance, because I already was highest bidder. I am rejecting this response because:Per attachment, I never received "a notification by email and in my account with the seller's decision." The site said the vehicle was sold and I was the highest bidder. Then a couple days later I get the notification that I can bid on it again in an upcoming auction?
The attached shipping quote shown is less than the quotes given to me. Mine were both over $1000.
Finally when I entered my personal vehicles vin and details in to get a quote on what they would buy it for, the quote came back at $10. See attached pics of my car.

I bought a car thru a guy named **** _____. **** bought this car thru this business A Better Bid LLC. This car title was never signed over by A Better Bid LLC to ***** Upon further investigation **** is a 6 time felon buying and "selling" stolen goods. So A better bid LLC sold or gave him a stolen car to sell to a victim who now can't register said car based on it being stolen and is now out $15,000. abetter.bid sold me a car with incorrect milage and interior damages represented on their website.
