      Been a member of this crunch for years and I had to Cancel my membership, due to moving out of the area. I cancelled after the billing period for that month, so the next month was billed (which is fine, I knew that). But then they kept trying to bill me. I've worked at multiple gyms (including Crunch at this location), so I understand what needs to be done in order for a proper cancellation.They never cancelled me, continued to bill me, and it got sent to collections. Haven't touched this gym since October in 2024.Gym has a high turnover rate and always saw new people working the front desk, so I'm not surprised if the worker didnt issue a cancellation properly.

      I have reached out to this company 3 times since December asking them to cancel my membership and they refuse to cancel this membership most recently I went in and spoke to the operations manager and she told me that she would not cancel my membership and she said I needed to leave and she said she would have her regional manager contact me and nothing has been done that was 5 days ago. All I want is to cancel this membership and they refuse to.

      Subject: Urgent Request for Immediate Cancellation of membership 


      I am writing to formally request the immediate cancellation of my gym membership, effective as of December 21, 2024. Despite my repeated attempts to terminate this contract, I have encountered significant obstacles that have prevented its cancellation.


      On multiple occasions, I have paid the outstanding balance with the understanding that this would facilitate the cancellation process. However, I have been informed that in-person attendance is required to finalize the cancellation. Each time I have taken time off work to comply, additional fees have been imposed, further complicating the process. The gym manager has stated that she is unable to cancel my membership and has promised that the regional manager would contact me to assist with this matter. Regrettably, I have yet to receive any communication from the regional manager, and my membership remains active, accruing additional charges.


      Under Florida law, health studio contracts must include a provision allowing cancellation within three business days of giving notice. Additionally, if a member dies or becomes physically unable to use the facility, the contract can be canceled, and a refund issued for the unused time. 


      Given these circumstances, I am requesting the immediate cancellation of my membership and a refund of any charges incurred since my initial cancellation request on December 21, 2024. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will be compelled to seek legal counsel to protect my rights and interests.


      Please confirm the cancellation of my membership and the processing of my refund at your earliest convenience.

      I paid a one year membership full payment and informed them I would be leaving after one year and they said I didnt have to do anything. Before I left I sent a certified mail letter with the receipt to cancel incase they would charge me after the year. Start and end date is 2023-April 2024. They started charging my credit card April-November 2024 monthly charges. I tried to work it out with them to cancel and they ignored me and also wouldnt refund me the money. I had to block them in November. I want to try to avoid court. Credit card company said I need to follow legal action as I have the receipt's.

      I went to this facility to get a free trial they were offering, and they pushed me into signing up for the membership. I was only using this facility for the group fitness classes because of my disability, and the class schedule they provided wasn't even for this facility, it was for a different location. I attended 2 classes in the entire time that I have been a member, and the second class the instructor was on her smartwatch the entire class, completely neglecting to teach (I have a witness to this as well). The staff was incredibly rude and harrassing my guest that I brought with me to the second class to join their gym, even though I already told them that they had their own gym membership. I called and spoke to a manager and advised that I wanted to cancel my membership due to the lack of group fitness classes for me to attend due to my disability and their availability, the rudeness of the staff for harassing my guest, and the instructor that neglected to teach her class because she was preoccupied with her smartwatch. Since I had only attended 2 classes, they should have had no problem with cancelling my membership and putting it under the free trial they never gave me that I had requested. I have since spoken with the General Manager and another supervisor, both said they had contacted their "higher up" and have not gotten a response or called me back to update me on this situation. I tried to reach out to corporate and left a message and have not gotten a response from them either.

      Crunch Fitness billed me for personal training sessions from 9/11 to 2/26. They refuse to issue a refund for the sessions billed from 9/11 to 1/16. They continued to billed my account even after I closed it and even after I visited the gym and complained.

      'This member signed up for training and went under a financial hardship so we froze his PT. We let him know at the time of signing that once the freeze ended, the billing would continue until he decided if he wanted to cancel. He agreed, and said that when things were better for him he would reach out to get back into the gym to continue training. 

      With that said, never heard back from member. After some months passed member was switching his current membership to a corporate membership and that's when member realized he was still being billed. He requested a refund for all the payments he had made since he froze the training. We stated to the member that we can refund the amount he was billed from the effective cancel date on his old membership, but we could not refund anymore than that given the fact the training had been frozen and not cancelled. 

      He was not pleased after being given the information he did not like. So he said he would leave a complaint on the BBB. 

      All of that said, his training is cancelled and I submitted a refund for the invoices he was billed after the cancel effective date on the old membership.

      - 2/10 kickoff. Had discussion regarding needs, particularly that of only wanting to work on strength training and balance as I have a run coach. The coach. *****, told me he understood and was the ONLY Elite coach there. He informed me that I would have to pay more (to receive less services) so he could work with my unique needs. - 2/10 signed up Elite coaching. - 2/10 received an email saying I was supposed to receive a roadmap and 3d rendering. - 2/16 came in and instead of working out, ***** said we needed to do weight (again) and measurements. As we were talking I stressed how I only wanted strength training and balance. He assured me that is all that would put in the plan he would email me no later than Sunday night along with the other kickoff stuff. - 2/23 put me on the treadmill. I had just worked out with my run coach and had a race that weekend. Told me too bad. Then had me foam roll and didnt till end that it would cause pain the next day. My race was the worst I have run yet!- 2/23 questioned why had not received plans. ***** said busy moving. Promised would get by Sunday and no cardio. Told me to just use the 30 minute circuit till then.- 3/1 had not received. Decided to cancel session scheduled until I was sure ***** was going to do them. Messaged him. Said still moving. He asked if we could move the 3/2 to 3/3. I stated I was unsure about work and would let him know. I received an email that he did it anyway.- 3/1 he sent handwritten schedule filled with cardio.- 3/3 I got covid and informed ***** - 3/3 scheduled for the following Thurday without asking - 3/8 emailed that I hadnt receive schedule. Said only did them every two weeks. Not what I was told when I signed up. - 3/8 Ignored my cardio concerns. My coach and doctor have both told me not to go back. - 3/13 Request for cancelation and refund of unused sent. Received a call though specifically said I would only respond in writing telling me it would "behoove" me to call them back

      This member did a paid in full, so there is no reason to do a cancellation or refund. It was a paid in full agreement. Only 1 session was ever completed by the Coach. The dates she is referencing do not align with the amount of sessions completed. We are more than happy to pair her with another Coach to focus on strength training. I would advice her to go talk to **** the PT Manager to assist her.

      I signed up with Crunch Fitness Center but didn't like the way it ran. At the time I signed up they told me I have 3 days (grace ******* to cancel the contract and not to owe anything. After only one day I decided this facility is not for me. so I went to the front desk and asked them to cancel my contract. they typed a letter of cancellation and request for a refund and said to wait for a week or so for the result. when I followed up they said I have to talk to their manager which became impossible. kept calling and never got connected to the manager and anytime I went there they said she is not available!! so I never got my refund and not only that but they passed my name to a collection agency who has been harassing me by phone calls and text messages and affected my credit score of over 800!.I need them to tell their collection agency to stop their abusive practice and report their mistake to all credit bureau agencies. and inform me that they did what I am asking.       I canceled my gym membership on October 30, 2022. I paid all fees and have the email from them stating that I paid all fees and canceled everything. However, my card continues to be charged and they have changed their story numerous times about when or if I will get a refund. I am also concerned that the money will continue to be taken off of my card. It's not very much money owed, yet, but I'm on a fixed income and can't afford it.
