    I made a booking and paid for a minibus for our team coach to pick up and use at a tournament we were playing in Mexico. When the coach arrived (separate flight to me) he told me that the minibus we had booked was rented out hours earlier and that no offer for an alternative vehicle was made. I then tried calling Avis to get it sorted and it then became apparent that I had booked the vehicle for 12 hours earlier to the landing time, an error I had made 12 PM vs 12 AM … 12 hours earlier than the arrival time. Since I had paid in advance and for an extra 12 hours, I would have assumed the vehicle we had already paid for should still be available. However I can accept the fault of the arrival error, but still Avis made no attempt to give us any other car on that booking. I called the next day and escalated to a manager who was equally unhelpful and still did not offer a car of any sort to compensate. Our team were forced to then use Ubers to get to matches, games or any other activity. I have tried contacting Holidaycars to dispute the charge as there is a line which guarantees some car will be offered in the same class. I was NOT given/offered any car in any class! I have tried emailing holidaycars, they say wait 28 days for a response (it's now 75) calling and waiting 90 mins before being cut off and not even speaking to anyone. This company has no contact number to reach out to whilst in a foreign country and no way to offer help in these situations. It really ruined my experience and I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I feel like I have been completely scammed, after an innocent mistake has been made. If anything I paid for more time that I actually needed, the rental should have still been available to me. DON'T USE THEM!!!
