I am filing this complaint due to a highly frustrating and misleading experience with Holiday Car Rental. I reserved a rental car through their website, which clearly stated that insurance was included in the total price I paid. However, when I arrived at the rental counter, I was told I could not take the car unless I purchased additional insurancedespite already having coverage according to the terms on their website. Feeling pressured and left without any other option, I was forced to pay for insurance again.I immediately contacted customer service to dispute this charge and submitted supporting documentation, including screenshots of the booking and terms listed on their website. It has now been nearly two months since my initial complaint, and the company has failed to offer a proper resolution. Their responses have been delayed and dismissive, and no refund has been issued for the duplicate insurance charge.This experience has not only cost me additional money but also significant time and stress. I believe Holiday Car Rental is misleading customers about included insurance coverage and engaging in unethical business practices. My name is **********, and I am submitting a formal complaint against Holidaycar.com regarding my recent car rental in *****, *******. I have made multiple attempts to contact Holidaycar through their web portal without any response, and they do not have a listed phone number.Timeline of Relevant Events: 11th August 2024: Car rental booked through Holiday Cars. 15th August 2024: Collected the rental car from OK Mobility in *****, *******. 19th-22nd September 2024: The car was damaged by another vehicle while parked and unattended at the City of ***********, ***************** (G1). 22nd September 2024: Filed a police report to document the damage. 22nd August 2024: Returned the damaged vehicle to OK Mobility.Summary of Issues: Overcharging at Vehicle Pickup: My booking confirmation (Voucher No. ENJ-********-1) indicated a charge of $36.75 at pickup, but I was charged $284.63 instead. Relevant Law: The UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Floridas Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act prohibit deceptive practices, which this overcharge constitutes. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Discrepancy: My booking included a CDW under the NoRisk Warranty Plus+ package, yet I was charged an additional $468.72 for insurance. Excessive Deductible Upon Return: I was charged $2,070 as a deductible despite the damage occurring while the car was parked and a police report being provided. Police Report: I request this report be processed and used to acquire security footage from the police and the parking lot to ensure proper insurance claim processing.Request for Action: Refund: I request a refund of the $468.72 and $2,070 overcharges. I paid in full for my car rental in advance. I contacted the company to let them know my flight would be 4 hours early outside of the 48 hour no change window. They told me to contact the car rental company directly, which I did. They told me to contact holidaycars.com to change it. Holidaycars.com ignored me and I was forced to leave the rental on arrival at the airport as they told me I'd have to wait outside in 40 degree weather with my wife and baby for 4 hours until the car was ready because they recieved no information about the change. I have since been in touch with holidaycars.com for a refund as I never broke their policy for refunds. They have continuously responded with facts and claims that don't even pertain to my rental. They said I tried to cancel within 48 hours, so no refund. I didn't want or try to cancel, just wanted to move it 4 hours. These people are criminals and crooks and will do anything to get your money and not provide the service you paid them for. I paid in full, in advance and was denied the service I paid for. On May 2, 24 we rented a car through Holiday ******** for our trip to ***** in August.On our way to the airport we were advised that our flight would be delayed. On our way, we attempted to call the number provided on our voucher to inform them of the delay and adjust our pick up time but the number provided was out of service! The voucher also stated we had to arrange pick up by shuttle in front of ********** to *************************************. No shuttle arrived!We paid 30 euro to take a taxi to the Collection Point and were told that they had moved 2 months prior to the airport!We were not informed of this move by Holiday Cars!When we arrived back at the airport we found the counter for Nollegiare and were informed by staff that because we were late and did not call and inform them of the delay our reservation was canceled!We explained that we were given the wrong pick up location on our voucher and that the number provided was out of service so we could not call to amend the pick up time. They said it was not their fault and that there was no more cars to give out.We explained that we had already prepaid in full for the rental for $2707.09 and they did not care. There were so many arguments from other guests in the same situation claiming they were being scammed by Nollegiare and Holiday Cars that airport police was called to the desk and said this happens every day at this booth!We have tried many other ways to contact Holiday Cars with no answer or response.We were left stranded for the entire day at the airport with 2 young children and 2 grandparents and we missed our familys tour of the Colosseum in **** that day!Holiday Cars was fraudulent and broke their own terms of the contract by not providing an updated contact number to inform them of the flight delay and amend our pick up time, and their Collection Point on the voucher to pick up the car was no longer in existence making it impossible to meet their conditions.Initial Complaint

This company is a FRAUD!!! I booked our first family trip to ******* through the website, I read every term and condition, I understood the conditions, but in the end they still found a way to scam me!!!i was rented a non working car!!!! I rented a car through holiday cars for pickup at *** from Nextcar #********. This reservation was made back in January. When I went to pick up my car I was told it was given to someone else and there were no cars available. But cars were available if I was willing to pay $600 more than my initial rental. I was left stranded at the airport 2 hours from my accommodations. I ended up spending money on an pricey uber and booking a car rental to the airport as a result of this.When I reached out to Nextcar customer service (car supplier) I was told that they could not contact the branch, nor could I because they did not receive incoming calls. I made this call March 11th, the day I was supposed to pick up my rental. I literally had no one to call and notify that I would be late.When I called holidaycars.com on March 11th, I was intentionally hung up on by your customer service associate because he didn't want to help me. It's clear this customer service rep was located over seas and could care less about providing reasonable or even decent customer service. Emails back an forth with holidaycars.com have left me asking repeatedly for the contact number at head office. They refuse to provide it. They also tried to suggest that the customer service number I called, the one printed on my voucher did not belong to them. ************Initial Complaint

I made reservations to rent a car in 2020, but due to pandemic, Holidaycars.com decided to give me voucher credits for a future car rental. I have not tried to travel until recently and when logging into my Hoidaycars.com account realized that the company had gone bankrupt and they dissolved my credits. I do not want money back but I want my credits back. Apparently there was a way to file money/credits owed with the bankruptcy court, however since the old Holidaycars.com did not make an effort to let me know that they went bankrupt, via regular communication, I had no idea what had happened and did not contact the bankruptcy court with my claim. I am rejecting this response because:Since the current "Holiday.com" bought the bankrupt "Holiday.com", they do have affiliation with the old business. They should be able to tell me where I can send my request to (old company) about filing un honored rental vouchers. This new company "Holiday.com" I notice, also sent a message to my old Holiday.com account (which I did not receive until last month) about debt from the old company. They could have contacted me through normal communication, email,etc but chose to be sneaky about taking on debt from the old "Holiday.com"
