    Horrible experience. Booked a trip to ****** for my honeymoon. 3.5 days prior to trip we get a message telling us the cruise portion is cancelled due to the cruise line not operating. It was so close to the trip that we cannot get a full refund. Exoticca should've given ** more notice so we could get a refund but did not. This is the first and last time that I book through a travel agency. I will be suggesting every i know to stay away from travel agencies and exoticca

    NEVER AGAIN. During 3 phone calls before booking, we were promised a 20 person trip thru *************** Ended up with ***** people on a big bus. We would never have booked this! Impossible to reach before trip, either by phone (hold times 1-2 hrs before giving up), multiple unanswered emails (20+) asking for information etc. Lots of glitches, sudden unannounced changes in itinerary days by local partners. Total chaos on a daily basis. Pay more to travel with a reliable reputable company. Every problem described in other reviews is accurate.

    NOT GOOD SO FAR AND WE HAVEN'T GOTTON OFF THE GROUND YET., AND ONE OF THE AIRLINES HAS JUST CHANGED THE FLIGHT DATE AND NO ONE AT EXOTICA SEEMS TOO CONCERNED, NO EMAILS BACK AS THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO, ON MORE THEN ONE OCCASION.

    Exoticca is the worst company I have ever worked with. Their staff is extremely rude. They make promises they don't keep and refuse to fix issues that they have caused. We are supposed to be leaving in 21 days but our flight makes us miss our connection for our trip. We've called and emailed dozens of times. No one cares and no one calls us back. They've told us the only resolution is to cancel the trip and let them pocket 55% of the cost. Which I think was the scheme all along.

    do not book a trip with this company. My friend and I booked a guided tour to ******. During one portion of our trip, we took a domestic flight within ******. They booked us on the last flight of the day. When we arrived, our driver wasn't there. We waited for about an hour before calling. They then sent the driver to get us. They never apologized or explained why our driver wasn't there. First tried to lie and say that our driver had been waiting for us all that time and then when told that he wasn't, said that they sent driver as soon as we called. Said we shouldn't have waited that long to call. We had a very early hot air balloon tour in the next 2 hours. We asked for them to reschedule for the following day since we would only have 2 hours to sleep. Refused to reschedule and again extremely rude and unapologetic. We were unable to appreciate our hot air balloon experience given the lack of sleep. On the way home, they booked a connecting flight too close together so that we missed our flight through no fault of our own. They refused to reimburse us for hotel fee and flight for next day.

    If there was less than one star, I would award it to this horrific company. We just returned from a 28 day South ******* trip which was, for all those in our group, horrific. Exoticca was simply unreachable for any sort of problem ANYONE was having. On two separate occasions there was no one to meet us at the airport plus on one occasion, no one came to pick us up to go to the airport. Communication with this company is non-existent. We were assured that we would be booked into four star hotels, however, on two of the 28 nights we were in a youth hostel. There was absolutely no heat, the water was shut off during evening hours and there were lockers in the dormitory style rooms instead of at least a small desk or a closet. All the included tours were useless time fillers that added absolutely nothing to our experience. There is no way I would use this company again, much less recommend it to anyone.

    Booked 15 day trip. Pretrip communication was very slow and not specific. Week one in *********** was very organized and I would rate a 3/4. Guides were great, tours were good. Somewhat overbooked in that we arrived at all advertised locations at 5pm and left the next day at 8am. No time to enjoy. Week 2 was horrible. We were abandoned in *************** and *******. There was NO tour. We were ABANDONED! We were handed a packet of train tickets, hotel reservations and 2 activities tickets and left to fend for ourselves. We had to find our own transport at each destination, figure out how to get to hotels, drag our luggage thru unknown parts,, sometimes on wrong metros going to unknown places. Some hotels were miles and miles from original train station when options were very available nearby. DO NOT USE this company. Week 2 was a disaster.

    What a vile, greedy, and disingenuous company. I booked a trip for 3 adults to ***** through this organization. Once I made my final payment, I went from feeling like a client to feeling like a hostage. The flight itinerary they booked for us was a nightmare. They sent my flight information less than an hour after my "free cancelation" period ended--and I can see why. I attempted to cancel my flights within 9 hours of booking, but it took them 2 weeks to respond. I was told at first my flights were refundable, and I would receive information about selecting new ones. The information I finally received included an up-charge of $850 per traveler for new flights. From this point on, customer service was rude and dismissive. Everyone I met during my tour with Exoticca also expressed absolute disgust with this company. STAY AWAY. STAY FAR AWAY!!!

    Pervious experience with Exoticca was ok, not great, but you get what you pay for and I could live with it. However out current trip is a disaster. We are being asked to travel from ******* to board a flight in ************* and then to fly back to ******* to connect with another flight. They can't seem to figure out that we could simple board the third flight in ******* and avoid two unnecessary trips. They wait until the last minute to give you your itinerary and then tell you it is to late to make changes. This is completely unacceptable. I will not being using Exoticca again and I recommend you avoid them like the plague.They have no idea what customer service is and they don't care!

    In Aug, 2022, we booked a 16-day ***** and ******* with Exoticca (from Oct. 21 to Nov. 5, 2022). After we made full payment of the tour, we received the flight itinerary from Exoticca on September 6. It shows that after our flight from ******* to ******, there is only 1 hr 13 minutes layover to catch a connection flight to ****** and then another connection flight to our destination at *******. As it is very obvious to anybody that a layover of 1 hr 13 minutes is not enough time to go through security check for international flight from ****** to ******, not to mention that we even have to walk from the ****************** to the departure **************** if there is no delay on the fight from ******* to ******, it is impossible to catch this connection flight. We called Exoticca 3 times and urged the customer service agents to request changes to another flight with a feasible connection time. We were promised by all three of them that Exoticca will resolved this and get back to us. Since we had not received any response, we called Exoticca again on the 4th time and we were told that Exoticca could do nothing to help us to change the flight schedule. The agent told us that if we were unhappy about this, we could cancel our tour and pay 75% of the total tour amount as a penalty. Exoticca can really ruin your vocation even before your tour begins. Their customer service attitude changed 100% from 5 stars to 0 star after you have made the full payment. They do not provide any assistance to help their customers and every single call will take at least ***** minutes wait time.This tour will be our first and last time with Exoticca!
