Bmg money loan $200 a month through allotment. First payment they took $200 from my allotment and also took $200 from my checking account. We have called them 7 times and emailed them 5 times to correct this. They keep saying they will get back to us but no call backs or email. .Initial Complaint

I used BMG money when I was an employee at the local ******* and saw the loan as a way to pay for classes. I conitnue to make payments but I have receive texts phone calls, and emails about missed payments and I know those communication are false. I even show records of my bank transactions that showed my money going to bmg money. I told them I havent missed payments. I feel like they wont you to pay extra or fail to keep up with customers payment history. I need it to stop.Business Response

Like others on here my complaint is the constant changing terms, I strived to make sure I made 24 consecutive payments on time because that was the terms set forth for me to be eligible to refinance and then right as Im at the last payment they changed the terms and are now saying I have to make another 38 consecutive payments before Im eligible. I was supposed to be eligible in may 2025 and now not till September 2026, which is ridiculous that they can just change the terms once youve met them.Business Response

Initially I was in communication with ****. **** informed me of a settlement over the account. During this time I was calling not getting representatives leaving messages. I was notified via Credit Karma, BMG Money reported a false amount of collection in the amount of 2035$ which was not a true report. After speaking with ***** Shihoster who informed me BMG Money did an audit and this is where the reporting came in at however he confirmed the amount between he and Representative *** ******* $916. A big difference between that amount and 2035$ falsely reported to the three credit bureaus. This dropped my credit score 36pts. I called to seek resolution but what I was met with was agitation and a manager who rather provide his title role ***** ******* who stated he would send a message to ****** who he stated was over him. However Mr. ******* was more furious that ***** informed me BMG Money conducted an audit and he would go back and listen to the call and deal with Mr. *********** Mr. ******* offered a settlement amount of $6939.64 and told me it would be my final offer bc at this point I wanted to resolve the whole account and depart from BMG Money especially with our work status unknown at this time under the current administration. I informed Mr ******* this is not the settlement offer **** offered and ***** told me thats he would not honor what was presented to me before. I was finally able to connect with Ms ****** after leaving numerous message via Link In portal. ****** another representative spoke to me about my account and apologized he stated it was BMG Money era and he felt my payroll was due to the timing of payments; however according to payroll they cannot guarantee dates as pay dates differ each calendar year the deductions go to BMG Money every two weeks they are paid along with my other deductions/ taxes. I ask that BMG Money allow the offer of settlement which I told ****** was $3,000.00 something. I can pay it -we can depart ways. Thank youBusiness Response

I was at work when the call came through for me from ***. I called back and spoke with another representative who reached out to the Management ****** as she was who I was speaking to previously about following up with me on a settlement offer. As of 4:55pm I have called and left several messages for Ms. ****** as in our last conversation she advised me to contact and file the complaint with BBB on BMG MONEY regarding the settlement issues as it was previously offered from **** who ***** ******* (Manager) stated no longer worked there. I received an email at 10:38 informing me of a settlement offer on the past due amount that has accumulated with interest back from 2023 that was not informed on until BMG MONEY submitted late payment amount in the amount of ******* to all three credit bureaus which was a falsely claimed amount-it was actually ****** but that is not what was reported which caused my credit score to drop 36pts. Good Afternoon:Please be advised I wasnt able to upload my response. Today I spoke to ***** B, a representative with BMG Money. I informed him I had been waiting for Ms. ****** to return my phone call as of April 9, 2025. Yet to receive a call back from her. He apologized for the inconvenience. And confirmed the request was made for her to reach out to me.I am going to attach my response as well as the emails I continue to receive on settlement amount of what they are saying is a past due amount, which by the amount an amount that was reported to the credit bureau falsely. I didnt owe $2035.00 it was $915.00 as Mgr. ***** ******* agreed to during a phone call he was brought on the line for back in February 2025 when I was speaking with Representatives ***** Shihoster and *** ******* (theres a big difference between $2035.00 and $915.00). They are yet to rectify this issue.Secondly, Ms. ****** conveyed the settlements would be justly over the past due amount along with the amount **** previously disclosed which was $3,000.00 something. BMG Money *** has sent information to al of the credit bureaus saying that I am behind on my payments which is not true, on all of the credit bureaus it showing that my payment started in April which not true, I got my loan in April and my payments didn't start until May of 2024. They are also showing that I didnt make a payment in June of 2024 in which I did. I dont know if this is about it not automatically coming out of my check but life happens but I have still been making payments with my debt card. Hurricane ***** did come thru South Caroling last year and we was without power, work was closed to, I did make one payment in September but manage to make four payments the next month because of the situation. On the credit bureau its saying that I am 320 behind but on their website its saying that I am 182 behind, their information is wrong since they are reporting two different numbers I will like this to be resolved and my credit score to be returned to what it was.Business Response

Previously, I have had loans with this company with problems. More recently, in May 2024, I entered a loan and the company set up automatic monthly payments through my bank as with previous loans. Things were going ok until the February 1, 2025 payment I was charged interest for a late payment. I spoke with the company and asked why I'm charged a interest at $5.50 per day. It was the middle of the month when I realized their action so I was told I owed approx. $51.00 which I angrily paid. The following month the same occurred. At which time I had to pay them approx. $78.00. I requested/demanded to speak to a supervisor and was told they would schedule one to call me in a few days. The clock was still incurring interest fees. By the time the supervisor called, I owed an additional approx. $71.00 all the while my automatic monthly payments were still paying as agreed. The supervisor said that as of January 2025, due to a company audit, they are now charging customers for interest when the 1st of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday. They are closed on weekends with no help desk options. Customers were never notified of this policy change. I told him I thought it was not fair that they are expecting me to make 2 payments in one month. I told them I had no alternative but to discontinue my automatic payments since they are charging me interest. On April 1, I attempted to make a payment online but was unable to. I called and was told I could not use my bank card because it was blocked. I called my bank and there was no block. I feel the company was playing games. The company referred to my April 1 payments as a late payment. They said it was considered late since I've paid 2 interest fees. I want my loan back in good standing and all interest fees I've paid refunded.Business Response

I called the business to check on the status of my account as my online account showed that I was 313 dollars behind in payments. The customer representative I spoke with provided misinformation about the status of my payments, indicating a payment had not been made since May of 2024; this was incorrect. When I informed the customer representative of this, they indicated that I had not paid during the summer and subsequent fall months. This was also incorrect. I asked the call be escalated to a supervisor. The representative continued to try to speak with me and give me "advice." I indicated over and over to be escalated to a supervisor. The representative disregarded my request and sent me emails and texts while we were on the phone, indicating that my account was in collections and that my credit report would be impacted. I asked the representative if they sent those notifications as we spoke, and they did not answer directly. I asked them directly if they had escalated the call to a supervisor. They would not respond with a yes or no. I then indicated they were not providing appropriate customer services. The representative stated they were not in customer service. They were collections. I tried calling back several times to speak with a different agent. Each time, the call was directed to the rude representative, ****** *******. I then asked ****** to transfer me to a different agent. ****** would not directly respond to my request. I am submitting this complaint for incorrect account information and the refusal to correct the misinformation.Business Response

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a formal complaint against BMG Money for incorrectly reporting a 30-day late delinquency on my credit reports (TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian). My account is current, and all payments are up to date, yet this error is severely damaging my credit score and affecting my ability to secure housing for my twin daughters and me.On March 10, 2025, a BMG Money representative confirmed my account was in good standing and assured me that the correction would be made. However, as of April 2025, no update has been made, and my reported balance is incorrect. The correct balance on my account is $3,203.38, not $3,778. I am rejecting this response because:I am formally requesting that my account status be updated to reflect current on all credit reports. I was informed that this update would be submitted around April 5th, yet as of April 11th, my reports still reflect an inaccurate past due status.
My account has been current since January 31, 2025, and my current balance is $3,155.66. This delay in accurate reporting is unacceptable and is negatively impacting my credit standing.
I expect this matter to be addressed promptly and the necessary corrections to be made with all applicable credit bureaus.

Despite multiple attempts to obtain a clear answer, I have still not been provided with the date *** submitted updated information to the credit bureaus to reflect my loan status as current.
This issue is severely affecting me, as my credit report continues to show a past due balance of $3,778, even though my account is current. With the end of the month approaching, I find it unacceptable that I have not received confirmation of when this crucial update was submitted.
While I understand that it may take time for the credit bureaus to process updates, I need to know when *** sent the information so I can appropriately monitor my credit.
All I am asking for is a simple answer: the exact date *** reported my account as current. I respectfully urge that this matter be taken seriously and addressed with urgency.

I was previously informed that all months would be reported as current, but ********** has not yet received the corrected information. Although I understand that these processes take time, I am simply requesting that BMG Money send the updated and accurate information to **********, reflecting that my account is current and not past due.
