      As shown on the photos you attached to the complaint. You rented from a company named "Sonic" that is not us. This BBB profile is for Stride Rent A Car. 

      Please withdraw the compaint as you filed a complaint with the wrong rental car company. We have no association with Sonic.

      Purchased Spirit airline tickets online for trip to ***************. Total price included rental car for 3 days advertised as $15/day through Routes rent-a-car. Had a car ready for pickup scheduled for 12:30pm 7/16. Arrived at Routes at 11:30 am, but did not get car until3:00pm due to 30 others also renting a car. Had to pay additional fee of $121. as out auto insurance was not with the seven companies on their wall (huge surprise!). Returned the car on 7/18 in same condition and gas level as when we picked it up. Was told $250 security deposit would be returned in five business days. As of today 8/18 I still do not have it!!

      I believe this company used bait and switch. They claimed a low price and emailed estimate invoice, then upon arriving it was impossible to get that pricing. After waiting 30 minutes for their shuttle to take you to their off site location, then only option is pay 3x the amount they originally quoted. I am seeking a refund for the over charge.

      This is in response to your complaint about being charged for our **** Insurance. The product that was purchased through us was ******'s ******************************* Which is full coverage liability insurance that covers you in case you damage some else's property or vehicle.

      The reason you were asked to purchase this is because your personal insurance policy with ******************** is not on our list of accepted insurance companies. It is also displayed in the booking reservation that you attached to the complaint.

      I am rejecting this response because:  I spoke to another customer who returned his car the same day and said he just kept arguing until the coverage he had (which he was told was not on "the list") was approved.  This whole transaction is obviously a bait and switch where people spend 30 minutes getting out to your off site location, then are told that their insurance is "not on the list".  That is ridiculous, you either do or do not have the necessary coverage.  Your "list" is totally deceitful and it certainly is not mentioned anywhere visible when reserving the car.  The rate I ended up paying would have covered any car at the airport.  The fact I wasted time getting to and from your lot for a "deal" is again dishonest.
