On September 5, 2023 Advanced Roof Technology started tear off of our shingle roof and took 3 days. Roof installation started on September 13 and ended October 11, 2023. We had an issue with the chimney that needed fixing and the homeowner took care of the problem immediately. On October 1, Brevard County had 12 hours of rain. Roofer didn't put a boot over the vent and caused a water leak. Owner of roof company was notified at 7:53am via text that we had a water leak. I was told by owner someone would be out Monday to fix vent. They showed up 2 days later to caulk a boot on. We got water damage est and shared with roofer. They sent out a water mitigation company to dry out on 10/6 and they didn't get it dried out. Owner said not to spend more than $2K on addl dry out and vanity replacement and he credited our final bill. Roofers continued work and they didn't put peel and stick up on last 1/8 of roof. They just put panels on top of tar paper. I called owner again and the crew started removing the panels and put the peel and stick up. In the end we ended up with a chimney finished product that looks like the first few pictures in this complaint. We looked for a neighbor with similar metal roof and chimney, met neighbor and took pictures of the roof he just had completed the prior week. Sent pictures to owner and asked for a finished chimney to look like that of our neighbors. We spoke to owner at 4:10 on 10/24. He said the roof is completed, passed inspection and he wants to get paid. We have holes in the metal that are rusting, dents in the metal, overspray from paint on the vents, trim that is loose, silicone residue all over the panels, approx 50% of our panels are scratched which will result in rust at some point. All I asked for was to fix the chimney. Now that I am aware of all of the problems with our roof, I want it replaced professionally or refund my money and I'll hire a professional company to redo it. Owner refused to even come look.
