      I obtained a Home Equity debt consolidation loan from Space Coast Credit Union. I was assured that my creditors would be paid directly from the loan proceeds. However, a few weeks after closing, I began receiving payment due notices from several of my creditors. Despite numerous calls and hours spent on the phone with Space Coast representatives, I was repeatedly told that the error was not on their end. Weeks later, it was discovered that Space Coast Credit Union had indeed made incorrect payments, leaving a balance on my account. This resulted in me having to retrieve loan proceeds from two creditors to make the corrected payment and clear my credit card balance. I will not use Space Coast Credit Union again and I will closely monitor any future financial activity associated with Space Coast Credit Union.

      I have been a loyal customer of ********************** for many years, but I am increasingly frustrated with the lack of reliable customer service. Due to the difficulty in reaching a representative, *** kept minimal funds in my account, and my experiences with my Platinum account have been far from satisfactory. Each time I attempt to make a payment, it becomes a cumbersome process. Unfortunately, it seems the service is only getting ******** comparison, my experience with ***** has been exceptional. They prioritize customer service and are always responsive when I call. Today, I spent over 80 minutes attempting to speak with someone at Space Coast, only to be continuously rerouted through automated options, asked the same questions repeatedly, or disconnected. This kind of service is *************** a result, I am now actively looking for another credit union that offers a more personalized experiencewhere customers can easily speak with a live person when needed. I strongly urge Space Coast Credit Union to reconsider its approach to customer service before it loses more loyal customers like myself.

      i have nothing but problems with this credit union. swipe my card and it declines. try calling customer service to straighten it out and cant get anyone after 6 pm its unreal. worst for customer service. thankfully i have other accounts... how can a finance institution have no 24 hour customer service... if you travel out of your immediate area more then likely your debit card will be declined and if it after 6pm you are screwed..

      tried to do a transfer into sccu 10k limit is 5k or 7.5k in 30 days did 5k then deposited a GOOD mm check from another credit union. all on Friday the 23rd. Same Friday at 7:14 pm I get an email that my profile had changed and SCCU would no longer process external account transfers. Called customer service no help and it gets better; the watchdog locked me out of my account login so Friday they got 10k of my money and their advice was to send them a fax to verify the funds where mine! RUN from these incompetent people fast!

Our ************************** took actions to restrict the membership to protect your account from potential fraud and scams. SCCU lifted the restriction on February 26, 2024 following your assistance with funds verification at one of our branch locations. While we understand the frustration of this extra step, we take the security of our members seriously and thank you for your cooperation!

      My ex opened an account using my information and they did nothing to prevent this and now I am stuck having to get a police report. Have paperwork notarized and having to do this within a 2 days or they will penalize us. We have never heard of this bank but apparently you can open an account with someone else's information because they don't have security measures in place to ensure your protection. This is wrong and they should be held accountable because they are putting us through the roof. Don't do business with this bank because they will not protect you and will charge YOU for their lack of oversight or vetting.

      This is the worst credit union I have ever dealt with. I was forced to use them thru my dealership for my car loan.They automatically open a savings account for you with $5. After a few months, I decided to put money into my savings and asked for a debit card. Don't ask what I went thru to finally get one. I tried using it and it was not valid. Don't try calling them - it will take-up moat of your day. Finally get thru to a live person and they tell me I can't use it like a traditional debit card! Excuse me? In order to access my money in my savings account, I have to go into one of their branches (closest one to me is 20 minutes by car) OR, I can open a checking account and then I can use my debit card wherever I want. There aren't enough characters left in my review. I could go on!! Find a different place than SCCU!

Our system requires debit cards to be linked to a checking account for in-store purchases, as they do not support purchases from a savings account alone.       I bought a money order (marked moneygram) at my local Space Coast Credit Union branch in Orange City FL about 6 years ago and was told at that time the money orders do not expire. I had forgotten about it until last week and went into the same branch to cash it, which they did. 3 days later I received a letter from Space Coast stating the money order bounced and they debited my savings account and overdrew it although my checking had more than enough to cover it. The letter receive has a substitute check on it and the letter states it can be used like a regular check. I went into my local branch in Orange City Fl (the stand alone location) and was unable to cash the check. The person at the counter was not helpful to say the least and became disrespectful AND would not cash the check. I have been the phone for over 2 hours looking for a resolve. I have been a customer for over 21 years but apparently in this day and age that means very little.

      SCCU is the worst financial institution i have EVER dealt with in my life! AVOID THIS SCAM CREDIT UNION!!! ALL OF THESE ONE STAR REVIEWS ARE 100% ACCURATE! Customer service is beyond pathetic... .no one gives a damn about helping with all of the SCCU mistakes. Terrible company with terrible management!

      I joined SCCU hoping for more personalized attention. My husband and I applied for a tiny loan for a used RV, $25k to be exact. We have deposits near twice that amount They denied us stating we "were planning to live in the RV". This was incorrect and was info from my adult son who applied months before. Spent an hour on the phone Saturday explaining to a CSR. They stated they added that info to the application. Got another denied email. Called back..disconnected 2x finally reached a human who said the SAME EXACT THING! When we AGAIN said NO and told her our conversation on Saturday she said yes that info added yet the INCORRECT INFO was STILL THE ONLY REASON FOR DENIAL. Went and closed my account. Settling on a property we sold with 6 figures in equity which we were going to deposit. They can't tell my account from my adult son I'm not trusting them with ANY OF MY MONEY.
