      Elal is horrible! I just flew with them to and from Israel since they are the safest airline for Jewish people to fly as an Israeli airline. Unfortunately, I would have been better off with ANY other airline! While checking in for my TLV-MIA ****** they changed the price of the 2nd suitcase when it specifically stated the price on the confirmation email. When he was told to refer to that email he laughed in my face as if I had just said something silly.... I am a grown woman and don't need to be looked down on by anyone especially a very rude male ****** attendant. Then they informed me of my seat which was NOT the seat I chose when I booked. They told me I should have chosen a seat, I replied them that I did. They said "well this is what we have available". I made them aware that I chose the seat I had before because it was closer to the front of the plane. I suffer from anxiety on ******s so the faster I can get out the better, they didn't care or try to help one bit. They basically told me it is what it is. THIS IS 0 STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I tried to contact elal many times to confirm the price for a 2nd suitcase and if I could even change my seat to Premium with pay of course but why would Elal give any customer service?!? I got no response from any point of contact I tried! It's one thing to charge an arm and a leg for your tickets which include bad food but to also not follow your own written confirmations and have horrible employees who do not have customer service skills work for you and represent you makes it clear that all you want is money! Hopefully another Israeli airline that actually cares about people will open up and take all your customers away! I will never be flying with you again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know flying to and from Israel, and I know a lot, to use any other airline they can! You pretend to be for the customer, especially your own *********************** and Jewish customers, but all you are a selfish disgusting money hungry company!

      El Al is a terrible AirLine avoid using them if you can... they will step on you when they can.El Al has very poor ***************** they are just not set up to help you in need it seems like they can barely run their company.

      They charged my son $400 for carry on baggage being overweight. They never warned anywhere online that carry on has a weight limit as well. And they didn't let my son transfer clothes to his check in baggage which would have been cheaper. They take advantage of young ppl that come and go and that's how they steal money from them. They also made him pay in cash so now I can't even dispute my card.

      I had to cancel a Business Class round-trip flight schedule for mid-February due to surgery and need for long recovery. Ticket was purchased August 2022. I initiated cancellation process on 1/18/23 and submitted letter from surgeon's office on hospital letterhead so that the hefty penalty fee ($275) would be substantially reduced. Agent on phone refused this document on grounds that it had been electronically signed on behalf of the doctor by his APRN. This, despite the fact that this is a common practice nowadays and all official information was included in the document. My wife had to go to the hospital to pick up a signed in ink letter from the doctor, get it scanned, and I resubmitted the materials on 1/20/23. I received a friendly email telling me I would hear back as soon as "the back office" reviews them. Having heard nothing after eight business days (not even a reply to my questions about the delay) I called their 800 number today 2/1/23 to find out directly what the story is. Put on hold and told...wait for it.... NO ONE HAD DONE ANYTHING. Utter incompetence and/or disregard for customer service. Agent (in ***************). assures me that within 3-5 days (I assume business days) something will be done and that I "would get a phone call asking for my consent." I asked what does that mean and she stated "your consent to issue refund and lower the cancellation penalty due to medical reasons." I do not have the words to describe this --- what is the point, after all? --- and now understand that OK, I don't have to wait for a phone call for the refund to be transacted. We shall see!
