If I could give a negative zero I would. I should have known better, I got the "amazing" offer to move from Florida to Texas, I paid half upfront they loaded me up and the next day when I was over half way home I get a call from someone else in the company saying I now owe $7500 to get my belongings delivered to Texas. Outrage can't explain how I felt. Complete SCAM. They have someone make an amazing offer to move you and then turn around and broker you out and no one will move you for that amount which they know ahread of time. I ended up having to fly back to Florida and rent a moving truck, hire movers to unload a storage unit. Stuff was missing, stuff was broke. They held my stuff hostage until I paid them money. They lie, they are rude. I suggest to anyone who is moving, use Penske truck they give great discounts especially AAA members, they are diesel trucks, and hire movers to load and unload. It's cheaper in the end and you know the cost upfront so no surprises. Nationwide Movers needs to be shut down. If enough people report their DOT number eventually it will happen. They are scammers. I never got any money back and even their movers conned me out of money stating "your suppose to pay a tip to us," found out that I was not suppose to do that. I know in future I will never use a moving company again. I will use Uhaul or Penske. At least then I know what the exact cost is and my belongings are safe.

Nationwide Moving (not to be confused with the legitimate Nationwide *** Lines) was contracted by a broker. The day after picking up our shipment, they contacted me to tell me it was going to cost another $2000 to complete my delivery. I reached out to the broker to understand how this could be, but they were no help. Since Nationwide already had my belongings, I had no choice, but to pay the $2000 or have my stuff in limbo. At the time of delivery, it was identified that at least one item was missing, and after unpacking all the boxes, it was determined that another 2 large boxes were missing and there were many broken items. I wanted to file a claim, but the claim company provide by the broker did not handle claims for Nationwide. I contacted Nationwide and was told to contact ***********************, but they also advised that they do not handle claims for Nationwide. Unfortunately, I only have a picture of the bill of lading which does not include the back, where I would find their arbitration process. After many attempts (phone calls emails) to get a copy of the back of the bill of lading, Nationwide is not responding. If anyone out there has used this mover and has the original bill of lading, I would love it if you could send me a copy.

Who do I send the bill of lading to? I have a picture of it, but I can’t attach it to this post

Also, is your DOT #1747419? That is the DOT # on the bill of lading provided by your Dispatcher, Nick.

The worst moving company I have ever dealt with. Incompetence on a royal scale and nothing is ever their fault. Paid over $2700 as a down payment to have four pieces picked up and delivered. If they could have padded the bill even more they would have.
Two pick ups were disastrous. The Auction house said they’ve never seen a moving company that screwed up a pick up as badly as this. I was given a referral by the Auction house, and everything went smoothly.
Now Nationwide won’t return the deposit because they say it was all my fault. Stay away!!!

No rating can be given to fraudster companies like Nationwide Movers . The sales guy Thomas(if that is even a real name of the person) who calls me first and makes me spend 3 -4 hours going through every room, pictures of furniture and sizes of all the inventory that needs to be moved. He then gives me an estimate of ~$5800 to move by furniture + 10 medium boxes from PA to SC. He sends me a contract and payment authorization $2200 as advance for the estimate he provided and indicates that when their QA department calls I should discuss any changes. 2 days prior to the move date I received a call from their QA, I told them what I am removing which is quite a bit from the original list and what I am adding that somehow adds another $800+ . When I start asking questions, the tone from Heida, the QA person is take it or leave it . The real fraud starts on the day of the move. The mover comes and says show me the items that need to be moved. We didn't even finish the walkthrough of the first floor and he starts saying this is going to take the whole 26ft truck not 900 cubic feet that was estimated and that he can only take half the furniture even though no additional items were added to the list from the initial estimate given to me by Thomas guy. The estimate now is 13,000$ . No one from Nationwide wants to talk to me and help me with this as their conclusion is the mover onsite is the subject matter expert and we just have to pay what they say. I am not sure if there is no law to stop these daylight frauds and how Nationwide movers are stealing from people . The worst is when Discover credit card company supports this Fraud as they had some paperwork from NationWide Movers proving that they completed the delivery service even though they never even picked up my furniture. I guess my next steps are submission of evidence to the attorney general in the state of Florida.
