I am filing a complaint against Mid Florida finance/ Mid florida financial due to repeated and unauthorized reinsertion of a repossession tradeline that had been previously deleted.Despite a clear and legal revocation of consent to report or verify any personal information, this company has continued to verify or furnish information to credit reporting agencies. This violates:- FCRA 604 (no permissible purpose),- FCRA 1681i (illegal reinsertion),- GLBA 6802 (unauthorized sharing of personal information),- Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (Fla. Stat. 501.204).The same tradeline was removed, and then reinserted **without notice**, which is strictly prohibited under federal law. I request that the BBB intervene and assist in the **permanent deletion and blocking** of this account and hold this company accountable for ongoing violations of my rights.Business Response

I was 3 days late on my pickup payment. I had been communicating I have proof of it. They still dont care. They are low down dirty company I will not.recommend ok carz definitely if this is the only finance company they go with. I still need to get my things. They didn't even do a extension most lenders do extension. Can't get my car back. Ans even on the paperwork if you read it, it says you can redeem your car paying late fee which mine is only $250 which was my pickup payment. My car also Which has my driver license, my debit cards and my child car seat. They are a horrible company and I'm make sure I let any and everyone know.Business Response

Yea there are things in this world that are out of human control I can't force my job to hurry up or send documents. So please be honest and tell the truth I have the phone calls from my phone store. Please don't forget to mention that then you said I need current bank statements to make sure my check was not in my account so please be honest not lie. God watches every thing

*******- sold us a used car through their loan company, MidFlorida Finance. There is a program in which you can upgrade your used car to a brand new car at their sister company, Lakeland Chrysler Jeep, after making on-time payments. We were invited to trade in our car and did so, but MidFlorida Finance continued to take money out of my direct deposit every two weeks and owes me over $700. They told me it will take up to 30 days to call back. After 30 days, I've called back, talked to managers, and they say they will find out and never call back. Its been another month, so I call every few days, get the same people, giving me the run around, but acknowledged the notes and that I am owed the refund for overpayment. finally, the answer today is that they are sorry, their account department is just running behind. I would never recommend purchasing a car from *******************. I purchased a ******* ****** through them back in 2022 and never missed a payment. I was a faithful customer, and they were always trying to get me to trade in my car and upgrade it. I had my own insurance coverage that was basic, and they had some type of program where I paid the " full coverage " to them. So not only did I pay for my car, but I also made 2 insurance payments faithfully on time. Unfortunately, after 2 years of faithfully paying for my car, somebody stole my ******* and wrecked it and left it on the side of the road. I had the car for over 2 years and had less than 12 months to pay off my remaining balance which I was very excited about. Even after learning this, MidFlorida Financing fought me tooth and nail over their insurance covering a dime even though this I what I made additional payments to them for. They started reporting to my credit that I was late and even reported that I owed them almost $6000 which remember the car was almost paid off, so this was absolutely false. Even after being a faithful customer, I am still suffering the consequences of being a victim of auto theft. They told me if I purchased a car through them, I wouldn't have to pay anything, but because I chose to do this on my own, they made sure they stuck me anyway they could. They still to this day report to my credit and I am fighting with the bureaus to get this resolved. I would never purchase a car through these people.Initial Complaint

4/4 my car was towed by commtow. Same day spoke with mid Floridas customer service and spoke with the recovery team. Was reassured that my car wasnt towed due to a small balance I had $82. Was told if I couldnt get the car back by Monday 4/7 they would go get it. I thought everything would be ok. 4/8 I spoke with mid Florida finance to figure out the procedure to get my car back. Not once did anyone say my car wasnt towed due repod. I was dealing with ******** at first. She informed me that I had to pay $1098 to get my car back. Where ******* had the price at $677 which I was ok with. That as a whole was a red flag as a whole. I will be reaching out to my lawyer about this whole situation and also commtow. At the end of everything I was asking for my towing information due to my job requiring proof that my car was towed. They didnt want to give that information. But they sent me a letter stating that my car was repossessed. When it shouldnt have never been. Let alone if you tell someone they have x amount of days to pay to get their car back but not even 2 days later all my belongings was taken out & off the car. The lady I spoke with stated that they do that in thought that you wouldnt be able to pay to get the car back. When its noted in the account multiple times that Ill be getting the car back by next week 4/9. Them doing this has caused so much emotional stress and had me lose money all for them to charge me $1098 and then have to travel to LAKELAND to retrieve my BELONGINGS THAT SHOULDNT HAVE NEVER BEEN TAKEN OUT/OFF IN THE FIRST PLACE. DEFINITELY CON BEHAVOIR. They are a low down dirty company. I dont have anything showing the proof other than my job stating that I need to show proof that my car was towed 4/4.Business Response

I am filing this complaint because MIDFLORIDA Financing continues to report an account on my credit report as a repossession, even though the vehicle was returned and the account was fully resolved via collateral recovery in 2018. The balance has been $0 for years, and no payments have been due since.Despite this, they continue to report R (repossession) codes monthly, including recently in 2022, which misrepresents the current and historical status of the account. This is misleading, inaccurate, and has negatively impacted my credit profile for years after the debt was satisfied.Additionally, there are inconsistencies across credit bureaus: ******* reports the status update as October 2022, while Experian shows August 2021. If the account is closed and resolved, it should not be actively updated or reporting derogatory information.Ive already attempted to dispute this with the credit bureaus, but the issue has not been corrected. I am requesting that MIDFLORIDA correct the credit reporting to reflect that the account is paid, closed, and settled and remove any ongoing negative remarks or history beyond the resolution date. MIDFLORIDA FINANCING LLC Report my car last year as two repo I never had my car repo the 1st time and made the payment . Second time the car was actually repo and never deem . They report my credit file as two repo and sent the car to auction where the car is paid in full, Im asking them to remove this off my three credit report cause this is not accurate FCRA . I requested 1099c and also sent in pay for deletion and they never responded back to me on paid deletion.
