I signed up with this debt settlement firm 06/02/202 and they made oral representations that were backed up by the written contract. They failed to perform on its duties once the debt settlements were negotiated so that more than 3 years later my credit score is still terribly negatively affected by their lack of performance - even though I have paid off all negotiated debt already.BUYER BE WARE - in my experience this firm has not been ethical.Business Response

********************* is not a client of Signature Servicing LLC.(Please see attached) ************ signed a retainer agreement with the *******************. Many law firms around the country engage us to assist them with the debt settlement process. I have left ************ numerous voice mails asking her to contact me directly on my personal cel phone so I can point her in the right direction.I also think another attorney group may have taken over for the *******************,possibly thats where the misunderstanding is coming from?
I am only here to help but I do not understand if she is unhappy with my company why she refuses to take calls from the owner of the company? She can call me anytime **** **********. I will put her in touch with the law firm she signed up with and they will be able answer any questions that she has about the process.
Since ************ never signed an agreement with my company and is not a client of ours, please remove this complaint.
Thank you.

I'm Sorry for my misspelling. *********************Customer Answer

Complaint: 20838611
I am rejecting this response because:1. ************************ is saying my contract was not with Signature Servicing. See the attached contract. Signature Servicing performed 100% of the work on my case since 6/1/2020 to current date. What ************************ sent to you as the "contract" is only 4 pages, whereas the actual contract is 17 pages. The significant missing pages that ************************ did not provide to you are:
a) Exhibit C, page 7, confirming a third-party, presumably Signature Servicing, would "perform debt settlement services" on my behalf. Signature Servicing was the only party that communicated with me in this case leading up to, and then my signing the agreement 6/1/2020.
b) Page 11, Notice of Cancellation Rights. This document states to send the cancellation notice to ":***** Law Firm, LLC, c/o Signature Servicing, LLC. Signature Servicing performed 100% of the services related to this agreement and is responsible for lack of performance and other negligence.
c) Unmarked page number. Consumer Authorization and Disclosure Statement that I signed 6/1/2020. This document authorized Signature Servicing, LLC to access and share my personal information for the purpose of settling my debt.
d) The appended agreement with *********************** pages 1 through 4. I have confirmed with *********************** that ****************** law firm had zero communication with it and that 100% of the communication was via Signature Servicing.
It is my belief and opinion that Signature Servicing uses law firms as a 'front' for just this reason - so they can tell entities like the BBB that the "contract" was not with them. However, I was and am indeed a 'client' of Signature Servicing since 100% of the communication on my case since inception has been through them.
2. My communication since I sent my first complaint to Signature Servicing, more than a year ago, on March 29, 2022, has been with their employee/agent **************************** I have numerous numerous email communications and records of phone calls with ********************* In my experience and belief, ******************** has attempted to intimidate me from seeking resolution of the very negative impacts to my credit rating directly caused the actions and the inactions of Signature Servicing in its breach of the intent of the agreement. I would never have signed onto this program if they had revealed that my credit report would be negatively impacted to this extent. I can explain further if needed.
3) I asked Mr. ************** repeatedly, in writing, for the phone number of the business owner. He never provided it to me.
4) ******************** advised me in writing that he/they would not communicate with me any further and that I should contact the *******************. I did contact Attorney ***** and was advised they have not represented Signature Servicing for years.
5) On 11/7/2023 ******************** inadvertently sent me the name and phone number of the new law firm in an email including "This is the attorney who oversees her file. He took over for the *******************." I believe Mr. ************** intended that email for the owner and not for me.
6) I contacted the new attorney, emailed him my immediate concerns, and have a scheduled appointment with him this week.
Additionally, in my email and oral communication with ******************** he repeated said that if I only asked "nicely" for help in resolving my credit report issue that a) his owner would have gone out of his way to help, and b) he himself would have gone "above and beyond" to help resolve the credit damage they themselves have caused.
Since when does a service provider stipulate such conditions to perform the duties it was required to perform, that it was paid to perform?
Sincerely,
*****************Business Response

Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:I did talk with attorney *********************** last Friday, 11/10/23, but he said he is NOT representing Signature Servicing at this time. I have scheduled another call with **************** this afternoon, 11/14/23. .
I will be retaining legal counsel and I will also be sending Signature Servicing an email today about the CitiBank account that is showing it is currently in collections. This was not supposed to happen and is causing me additional harm.
Please be advised that the financial firm I hoped to join has DECLINED to onboard me because of the two specific matters on my credit report that was directly caused by Signature Servicing - JPMC and CitiBank. These two matters need to be cleared up by Signature Servicing immediately.
Signature Servicing also needs to immediately provide the information that I previously requested.
Sincerely,

Hello on 11/14/2023.
Please see the attached letter from Signature Servicing on its letterhead dated 3/29/22 where they directly contradict the denial by the owner that I was NOT their client.
See the first sentence in the attached letter "****** has been a valued client of ours since June 2020."
Thank you.

I hired this firm in March to provide debt settlement services. They have withdrawn $606.83 from my checking account with ********** each month since then. Each time I try to contact them I get nothing but messages. I cannot access my account online, nor can I locate their website anymore. Trust Pilot assured me that this company was legitimate. Which one fabricated the truth?Business Response

My name is ***************************** I am the owner of Signature Servicing LLC. I have checked our data base and ************************* is not a past or present client of ours. I do have relationships with other debt settlement companies in the industry. If ************ can email me at ************************************** with the name of the company he enrolled with (he should have an agreement that he signed with all that information) I will gladly help him find the company and I will help him get a refund.
Thank you.

A representative from Signature Servicing called me to apologize for the confusion caused by their portal. He directed me to the person with whom I needed to discuss my case and concerns.
Therefore, I rescind my complaint, with your kind indulgence. I feel much safer knowing that the BBB is one the job.
Respectfully,
**************************************

I enrolled into the program with Signature Servicing, they told me that they would be able to settle my debts at "pennies on the dollar". All was going good until we reached my last creditor that Signature Servicing has been dragging their feet on talking to them. Now, Signature Servicing says that they cannot negotiate with the creditor while my escrow funds are tied up with other accounts, but yet they were handling multiple creditors at a time with the escrow account. So about my final creditor, Signature Servicing was able to get them to agree to a 40% payoff, but the time period was not favorable to my current plan, so they chose to not inform me and allow me to say "yes" or "no". Had I been informed, I would have tried to figure out a way to make it work. Now the debt is in the hands of a law firm and they are demanding 80%, which if you add on Signature Servicing's fees, would be more than the original debt. The long and short is, because they Signature Servicing chose to not inform me of the great payoff, I am going to be out an additional $10,000. I warn anyone and everyone to stay far away from this company, they are looking out only for themselves and do not care about their customers. I want Signature Servicing to accept my 40% payout that I should have been able to take months ago, and they should take the financial hit for failing to communicate with their customer.Business Response

I am ***************************** the owner of Signature Servicing. I just spoke to **************. We are in the process of reaching out to **************' creditor. I agree with **************. If my company failed to inform him of a settlement offer he should not be responsible to pay the creditor more than their best offer. Once we hear from the creditor I will work with ************** to get this creditor settled so he can graduate from our program.
Thanks
