I have moved professionally 8 times with prior executive jobs. I have never experienced this type of move. It was cash only. The moving truck pulled up to my 4 bedroom house in a box truck with no lift. The truck could not hold all of the product. The foreign driver disputed the load after filling the truck and said we had to pay much more in cash. They returned the next day to get the remainder. Ten days later, they delivered the product causing approximately $4000 of damage. This included damage to hardwood floor and a whole in the wall. Of course, we live in a hilly area, and the driver scammed us by saying his truck could not make the trip. He said he would have to get a U-Haul and make trips to my house, and then charged another $2100 in cash. My granite tops to dressers were broken into pieces, lamps broken, closes dropped in boxes with no hanging bar, food piled into boxes and broken up. The movers were hired grunts from the area with no expertise in moving. Boxes were not properly numbered so we could not even check the goods in at the time. The driver and one of the unloaders were going to fight in my front year. I have pictures of the damage. The process to file a claim doesn't even go through an insurance company, but another low-end scam business who pays by the lb. As soon as you sign their agreement, you cannot ask for further compensation. So I refused to do so. When all said and done, the cost was nearly 3 times the initial bid. I have contacted the FL ************************* I will determine next steps after I hear back from the ** office.

The move from Memphis to California was the worst nightmare I have ever had moving, after 7 moves. They damaged or destroyed over 30 items/boxes and did not store in climate controlled as promised and confirmed. The damage seems intentional as even the heavy duty wardrobe boxes were mutilated. They contract with a claim settlement company (CAF) that represents their interest ONLY. How is that an unbiased resolution? They hire help off Craigslist (confirmed by the help) and use unmarked trucks. Some are rude and some are clearly untrained and resentful. Nothing else can explain the disaster that occurred. BE WARNED!!! Should have negative stars.

We do not intentionally destroy customers items. ********** about our customers and try to provide the upmost customer service. Customer did have some damages - however she had not purchased full value protection prior to her move . Per her contract she signed on the day of her services she opted to bypass the full value protection and chose the option $.060 per lb. per article . For her damages that justified the third party claims department evaluated her claim and offered a settlement of $372.00. after receiving her offer she refused and demanded $1000.00, she stated if she was not going to receive what she wanted she would be pursuing this anyway she could , and would be reporting her experience on as many websites she could. **************** claim offer still is available for her to accept. Had at least 23 items broken and many items not delivered. Terrible packing, storage and delivery. Do not use this company

Customer was sent claim information to address her claims and damages on 8/10. When I completed a courtesy call this am she stated she never received this . I forwarded her the information that was sent out to her asking for her to send her information so we can resolve her claim for damaged and not delivered items

Have moved five times before from state to state in *******. Have never experienced anything like the move with Cosmos Van Lines. Broke 23 items and did not delivered at least eight items. All furniture was scratched. Nothing arrived at my home in Alabama in the same condition it was in when it left my home in Georgia. Do not use Cosmos Van Lines. Totally bad experience.

If Cosmos Van Lines sent me a email about missing and damaged items, I did not receive it.
