I visited this spa for a facial special they were advertising. During my visit, I was placed under intense pressure by staff to purchase a costly facial package. I made it clear that I only intended to purchase the advertised special, but I was told I had to make a decision on the spot and was not given time to think it over or review the purchase fully.

Although I signed their paperwork, the decision was made under high-pressure and manipulative circumstances. I felt uncomfortable, guilty about saying no, and rushed into agreeing to something I would not have chosen freely. When I later requested a refund, the spa refused.

Afterward, I discovered multiple reviews from other customers reporting the same type of high-pressure tactics. This shows a pattern of unfair and aggressive sales practices that take advantage of customers.

I am requesting that the spa issue a full refund for the facial package and that these practices be investigated as violations of fair business standards.

Here is what I signed that day which i felt extremely pressured into agreeing to and did not get the chance to think about wether or not i truly wanted to make this purchase. I don't believe they have fair business practices and are trapping many people with this aggressive sales tactic they use in this office.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/16/2025

    To Whom It May Concern,

We are writing in response to the complaint filed by *** ***** ******** regarding her purchase with our spa.

On July 23, 2025, *** ******** purchased a treatment plan totaling $2,495.00. The plan included a promotional Three-in-One Hydrolift along with a Light Chemical Peel, five Hydrolift Face treatments, five Hydrolift Neck treatments, an Exosomal Liquid Laser, a D-Tox, and an E-Tox. As of this date, *** ******** has already received the Three-in-One Hydrolift, the D-Tox, and the E-Tox.

At the time of purchase, *** ******** reviewed, signed, and acknowledged our Client Agreement with her valid ID attached. The agreement clearly states that refunds are available up to 24 hours from the date of purchase, that all products and devices are non-refundable, and that modifications of treatments are available up to 30 days. It also advises that in the event of any reaction, clients should consult a doctor and notify management.

We have honored these policies consistently and fairly with all clients, including *** ********. Despite our efforts to accommodate her concerns by offering plan modifications and additional discounts, she declined these alternatives. Given that services have already been rendered, and that *** ******** agreed to and acknowledged our refund and service policies in writing, she is not eligible for a refund at this time.

We respectfully request that this matter be resolved in our favor, as we have acted in good faith and strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions mutually agreed upon.

    Sincerely,
    Ageless Spa

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

While the spa claims I signed their agreement, the circumstances surrounding the purchase were unfair, misleading, and pressured.

The business did not provide me with adequate time to think through or fully understand what I was signing. I was pressured and rushed into making a same-day decision, with the staff repeatedly assuring me that I was going to be a “model” for them, creating the impression that this was a special opportunity at little or no cost. This representation created a false sense of opportunity and urgency. Only after the fact did it become clear that the “modeling” they referred to was nothing more than a standard photo release form. This was not disclosed clearly at the time of sale, and it misled me into believing I was entering into a unique arrangement, not a $2,495 contract that I neither needed nor felt comfortable with.

I believe these tactics demonstrate unfair and predatory sales practices. A legitimate business should allow clients time to consider a large financial commitment and provide full transparency, not pressure customers into signing under duress.

The spa notes that I have already received a portion of services, which is only 2 products I’m willing to pay for. The vast majority of the package they created (including five future facials and 5 neck treatments, which were first referred to as 5 additional facials) remains unused, yet the business is attempting to hold me financially responsible as though I had freely chosen this purchase.

The only resolution they have offered is a 15% discount, but I do not feel safe or comfortable returning to their office for further services after this experience. That is not a reasonable resolution when the issue at hand is the way the services were sold to me under pressure and false pretenses.

Other consumers have also raised similar complaints about this business, which indicates a troubling pattern. I do not believe I should be forced to remain bound to a $2,495 financial obligation under these circumstances.

I respectfully request that the BBB recognize these practices as unfair to consumers, and that I be released from this contract and refunded for the balance of unused services.

    Thank you for your consideration.

    Sincerely,
    ******** ********
