We have not received a 22kw Generac generator that we paid for in July. They put in a 16 kw for the hurricane and said it would be a couple weeks. Now I get no answer from the owner.Business Response

Good evening *******************
We sincerely apologize for the delay, and we thank you so much for your patience. Due to Covid, price increases, a last minute back out by an investor and shipment delays, we have not been able to complete some of our customers as quickly as we have intended to. We are continuing to install generators, tanks and completing jobs.We have the list of every customer, and we will continue to reach out to each customer on the list as their installation date approaches and the tentative date becomes clear. We also had to vacate our previous office and to relocate to a smaller office because our rent was going to be increased by 40%. so we have are hoping to have our landlines back up and running by the beginning of next week. You are at the top of our list and are hoping to have your installation complete soon.

We signed for a whole house Generac generator on 4/8/22 and paid $5000 down at that time. Since then weve paid another $6000 for electrical work, propane tank and two unsightly open ditches containing a gas line thats not connected to the propane tank nor the electric. The bore job was done 8/10/22 and thats the last time weve seen anyone. This runs along our sidewalk that leads to the front door and fills with water when it rains. They finally called on 10/5/22 to say theyre under new management and would call within the week to schedule installation of the generator. Its been three weeks and we are back to leaving messages at all three numbers to let us know whats going on. Are they closed? Filed for bankruptcy? If so, we need to know so we can file a claim. Please stay in touch.Business Response

Signed a contract for installation of residential standby generator on 1/14/22. Was quoted 4 months start to finish. Gave salesperson deposit of $4,990. In mid-February, city permit was released. Paid another $4,500. March 7, the electrical work was completed, and gas tank was buried. Paid another $2,600. Then, everything came to a screeching halt. Every time I call, I get the runaround and they blame Generac. In May, they told me it would be July. In July, I was told September. Now they no longer answer their phones or reply to emails and have vacated their ***************** location. They claim it's due to a "rent hike," but a quick check on the St. Lucie County Clerk of the Court website tells a different story. I just want the generator I've paid for or refund my deposit so I can hire a company that will actually finish the job. This is not the way to do business.Initial Complaint

9/29/21 Met with Energized at my house for generator install quote. Total quote for generator install was $10,695 and 500 gallon ** tank install was $4495. Paid deposits totaling $3990. 11/2/21 paid $4500 after permits. 11/8/21 paid $1350 for electrical work. The next steps were to be delivery of the generator and ** tank installation. Despite Verbal and written communications to the company-- too many to count-- we have not received our generator nor the ** tank. When we first called they said there was a supply issue, then it was that we owed $400 that was not part of the contract (which we paid just to move things along), then it was that paperwork was misplaced, then we were scheduled to receive the generator but no one showed up on the date, then we called and no one knew what happened but were given another delivery date but no show again. We have spoken to the owner and to everyone that works there and no explanations. The last delivery date that came and went was October 26th, 2022. At this point, no one is returning calls or texts. We drove to the ********* address on their website and that location is closed - apparently a year ago but they did not update their website. So far we have paid this company $10,240 and have spent OVER A YEAR waiting and have no generator or ** tank. We need a generator due to the fact that my mom is on 5 liters of oxygen 24/7. When the power goes out this creates a medical crisis. We have shared this info with Energized who apparently does not care. This is obviously unacceptable and must come to an end. Either the generator and tank need to be installed immediately, our money refunded, or we will proceed with legal action. If they don't finish the job and we have to hire someone else, all of the work will need to be redone as another company will not rely on what was done by Energized. This company is either extremely disorganized or running a very organized fraud.Business Response

Due to Covid, price increases, a last minute back out by an investor and shipment delays, we have not been able to complete some of our customers as quickly as we have intended to. We even closed other divisions to save money due to the reasons I listed before. I am rejecting this response because:It has been over a year and yet no one is calling to give us a new installation date. We spoke to someone in the "office" and she said the owner would call us that day, but just like all the other times we were told that, no one called. I see other people leaving reviews saying theirs was installed slowly and they had to wait 2-3 months. We have been waiting for 13 months. OVER a YEAR!! And still no one is contacting us. Where is our generator??? If you can't get us a generator, then simply refund our money so we can get one *********. Simple. One or the other needs to happen immediately. This situation is no longer frustrating, it is outrageous!
Sincerely,

Signed a contract with Energized Electric to install an 18k Generac generator, a whole house surge protector, and a maintenance agreement. A permit was obtained from the county. The electrical and gas line were installed and a pad is in place. Since August 12, 2022 I have been waiting for the 18k generator to be installed. Called many times and at first I was told that there was a delay on getting the generators. Then I was told that they expected delivery of generators in two weeks. On Oct 7, 2022 I was told by ******* that the 18k was in and I would receive a call in 2 weeks to install it. Oct 21, 2022 called and left message to call back. Since then no one answers the phone ************. I have left message several days in a row and no call back.Business Response

This is a follow up on a prior complaint dated 10/28/2022. Signed a contract in with Energized Electric to install an 18k Generac generator. The pad, electric, and gas line have been installed. No generator. I have called many times since 8/12/2022. They always had a reason why the generator was not installed. I have called and left voice message but no calls back or sent an email. I no longer have any patience with this company. I want the generator installed and made operational. Plus they are required to install an full surge protector.Initial Complaint

Signed contract with Energized Electric to purchase and install a whole house generator on 5/20/2022. All preliminary work to issue permits, prepare electric and natural gas line, and partially install slab for generator was completed by the end of July 2022. We are still waiting for the installation of the generator and final inspections. We have called many, many times beginning August through the present time. When we were able to reach someone at Energized Electric, was promised return calls with status of generator install. No return calls received. Now unable to reach anyone at Energized Electric and left many voice mail messages with request for return call and still have not received any response. To date we have paid $10,000 and only owe an additional $1890 upon completion of generator install and final inspections.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The response Energized Electric provided to this complaint is the same canned response they posted on ******** the same day they responded to you (BBB). Although I did receive the following email message on 11/2/22 from *******************, I cannot considered this issue resolved until the generator has been fully and installed and all required inspections have been completed & approved. With $10,000 of my money at stake and Energized Electrics prior lack of any action or response, I believe this is the only acceptable solution. We're in the process of downsizing to a smaller office, to be more efficient and we apologize if you have not been able to reach us by phone.
The office staff is presently working remotely and trying to call everyone back but there are a lot of calls, especially with over **** maintenance customers.
Our landlines should be back up and running hopefully by the end of this week. Our technicians are still in the field and we have been completing generators & tank installations every week. We apologize it is taking longer than we anticipated for some of our customers.
Please give us just a little more time to work on a window for you, or when your installation will be completed.

I understand your frustration and we are struggling but determined to complete all our installations. We promise we have every intention of completing your generator. I know words can not express the
heartfelt regret that we have had delays and not completed your generator yet. I hope you can still bear with us while we restructure the company and work on completing the work.

I am rejecting this response because: Actions speak louder than words. The only responses I've received from Energized Electric since August have been as a result of lodging this complaint. I've still had no direct contact from them, other than an email message that has basically duplicated the same information. This morning I received the attached email message from the ********************** indicating that the permit that was issued for this generator on my property will expire in 4 weeks due to no activity since June 2022. While I would like to be sympathetic to whatever predicament Energized Electric has gotten themselves into, with $10,000 of my money at stake that has been paid to Energized Electric and an additional $500 being held by *************** HOA pending their approval of the installation of the generator on my property, I need to be looking out for my best financial interests; not Energized Electric's. Energized Electric either needs to complete the work or refund my money.
Sincerely,

Similar to other recent complaints, we signed a contract for a new generator on 12/8/21 with Energized Electric. They completed all the wiring, plumbing, and necessary electrical work in May of 2022. Up until about 2 months ago, they were very good at responding to our inquiries regarding the final install of the generator. We understand there is a back order issue, but we have not had a response to our email inquiries since August 10th. We have sent multiple emails and left multiple voicemails with the company. We would like for the company to contact us with a status and then complete the installation. Thank youInitial Complaint

Feb 11 2022: met with salesman; signed contract for generator. ******** stated it could take as much as 5 months to be installed due to back orders from mfr. OK.Apr 5, 2022: Electrical work was completed and approved.May 17, 2022: Propane tank installed and approved. May 23, 2022: Received call from someone at Energized telling me I was behind on payments. (At contract signing, salesman was to send me forms for financing the sale. I never received them, so I was unaware of payment schedule.) Was told if I didn't make payment, I would lose my place on the schedule. Arranged to meet at office and make payment next day.May 24, 2022: Met at Energized, made a larger payment then was requested, and was told I would keep my place on schedule. Was also told they had a limited number of generators, IN STOCK, and they would be enough to install mine. Was told I should expect it to be installed the week of June 13, 2022.June 20,2022: ************** was told they had no generators, they were on back order, they had no idea when I would get mine. Aug 2022: Spoke to ******************. He apologized for delay. Said they had delays due to mfr back orders, but were beginning to get shipments. He was expecting a "truckload" of generators soon. Asked for my patience. OK.Oct 24, 2022: Eight months after salesman promised delivery in, "on average 5 months". Four months after a promise of installation. Two months after a further promise of "soon". I STILL HAVE NO GENERATOR. 1) It's my opinion Energized rating should be changed from A+ to whatever the lowest rating is. How are they staying in business????2) I'm beginning to think about breach of contract lawsuit.3) How many more false promises must I endure????????????4) I want the job properly completed ASAP.Initial Complaint

****** and signed a contract on a purchase of a generator in April - and told we would have it by August. I keep getting told in 5 weeks Now they do not even reply to my email when I inquire for status. I have paid all the monies owed when asked and on time. To date a little over 12K and we have no generator. They left a hole dug along the house foundation that I had to ask for them to fill. It was open for 3 months. I am hoping no permanent damage occurred to the foundation due to the exposed water. I have asked for either the generator be installed or a total refund and again no response. This order was not a surprise. At this time I want my money back. This is a total disrespect for the consumer - me. I can go to Cosco right now with that money and have one at my doorstep in a week.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Energized Electric on 4/23/2022. At the time I was told there be no issues with getting a Generator. On July 23 they completed some of the electrical work and was told the concrete slab would be delivered and installed buy August 4th. And the generator would be installed by the end of August. On September 14th I was told the the install hopefully would be completed in six weeks. On October 4th I was told by the owner *****************************, I would be given a completion date on October 11. After multiple calls and promises I would be given a completion date, I still have not gotten the date. Please have them get back to me with a completion date.
