I've been trying to reach Great Jones since 9/19/22. I am a current resident. I applied for rental assistance. After I applied I was asked for a copy of my lease. Great Jones tells me since I'm on a month to month I don't get a lease. So I requested the information needed to complete my application. I have yet to hear from Great Jones yet they can contact me for the over due rent. I told them I had 10 days to submit the information and I have yet to hear from them. I need to hear from GREAT JONES.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your move out charges. A revised move out statement was sent out to you on 6/1/22 detailing the damages to the property. Please reach out to ********************************* if you need a copy of that document resent to you. However, since this time the property owner has changed management companies, and our team did not send your account to a collections agency as we no longer managed the property.

I moved into the address on file on 8/12/22. The rental company is ****************. On Saturday 8/27/22, plumbing issues began. Master bathroom shower would not drain for several hours and during shower running, toilet would bubble. Attempting to wash dishes, opposite side of sink would back up. Could not properly flush toilet or shower. As this is a health and safety issue, it should have been addressed within 24 hours. It was not fixed until Wednesday 8/31. The problem was resolved for about a week and then issues began to start again. As of 9/7, the master bathroom toilet overflowed/ ruptured and spewed toilet paper and leaf/tree debris all over the bathroom and bedroom floor. A call to a maintenance and plumbing facility revealed the issue was because of 50 year old pipes that had needed to be replaced and were out of date. With the septic and sewage problems this has caused, it could not only be a health and safety issue for me as the resident, but could condemn an otherwise beautiful home for destruction. This issue should have been addressed and pipes replaced before any new residents moved into the home. However, they chose to sweep it under the rug and make it the problem of the next resident. I am not unable to properly use any of my water without it backing up into my house and causing immense amounts of stress. I believe I need to be placed in a hotel billed to Streetlane homes, until the issues is completely resolved.

We are very sorry to hear about the maintenance issues that you are experiencing, however as of 8/19/22 your property is managed by **************** and not Great Jones.  They can be contacted at **************.  We have also reached out to them on your behalf to help expedite this request.

This is my leasing company and I have had many issues, including people entering my apartment unscheduled while I was at home. They continue to put charges on no particular schedule on my account and I cannot reach them to discuss it. They keep putting late fees because I have not paid these charges. They are listed as utilities, though it was established I would pay utilities directly. Again, I have reached out countless times just to gain any kind of clarification as to what is going on and that they are utilities is the ONLY response I've received via email though I continue to ask for response via phone. They gave me a phone number that was not a real phone number.

      Business response

      09/07/2022

We are sorry to hear about the issues related to the utility charges on your account.  The Property Manager has been in touch with you to get this cleared up and has requested that the late fees be removed from your account.  Please continue to work with them to get this resolved.  Also, we looked into your statement of maintenance being completed while you were not home.  This was for routine pest control completed by the property owner with notice having been given prior to entry.

I applied for a rental house in ************** with 2 hours of it first appearing on Zillow. I drove straight to the property and did the self showing through ******. I immediately applied online and paid $50. I called the number listed and left a message as nobody answered. Two days after the third party back ground check website said my application was complete. Great Jones did not return my calls. 2 weeks later I received an email from *************************** saying my application was approved and the house had been rented to someone else that week. It would have been almost impossible for someone else to have viewed the property and submitted an application before me and I feel that I have been treated unfairly by this company.

We are very sorry to that you did not hear back from our leasing team in a timely manner. We have issued a refund of the application fees you paid. Thank you for reaching out about this matter, and we wish you the best.

I moved out of a Great Jones property on July 27th 2022 after living there for 2 years. I reached out regarding my security deposit and they are trying to charge me $2,000 for move out charges almost all of which are considered normal wear and tear. This is not the first time that I have had issues with Great Jones. They are always trying to get money from people while having absolutely terrible communication and being super hard to get a hold of. I would not recommend this rental company to anyone! I wish the owners would privately rent because I do not think that Great Jones does a very good job at all.

In short, I am asking for a refund and reimbursement from Great Jones for the amount of $390 itemized as such: 1. Damage caused to my rental property: $140 2. Refund of $250 maintenance retainer. I signed with great jones for my Orlando, FL rental property. They lost my keys and garage remotes to start with. I was patient with them as mistakes do happen. But their response to the issue was not acceptable by any means. They took their sweet time to resolve the mistake and get the property rented. It was all rental income loss for me as the unit was vacant for one full month. So I canceled the agreement with them and signed with another property management company. New garage remotes and programming cost $140. They need to pay it. I paid them $250 as a maintenance retainer/deposit. I want my money back. They never managed my property.....

      Business response

      09/01/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/23) */ $140 had been previously credited back for the garage remote replacement. The other $250 in question went towards offsetting the $758.36 in expenses while the property was under our management. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I never received the $140 credit. As for the $250 maintenance retainer, there is no way they had accrued expenses of $758.36. I never received receipts or statements confirming, or even approving, those expenses. Anything above this $250 threshold needed my approval to be done. The unit was under their management for 1 month and they did not do any work. Not maintenance, not advertisement, and not even potential tenant showing/application. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/29) */ We are sending out a financial statement to your email address. You will be able to see from this statement that $140 was in fact credited to your account as well as the expenses for your property. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/08/31) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I don't accept neither their proposed resolution nor their statement. I don't believe the charges on said statement and am hereby disputing them.

I rented a house from great Jones in Columbus, GA for just under a year. My wife and I moved out around June 28 2022. Great Jones did the move out inspection and charge me $300 for refinishing the tub. I provided them photos of the tub's condition prior to moving in, and I got an email from Great Jones, saying they would return the $300 that was taken out of my security deposit. It is now August 13th, I have not received the rest of my security deposit back. I have send about 6 emails, called once a day, texted a number provide on their website, and can not get a response from anyone. It's like the business is shut down or they are just ignoring me. But I would like my $300 back. I've attached an email saying the money was going to be refunded, and also the emails that were sent and unanswered.

Below is a copy and pasted text directly to Great Jones. We moved here in March, needless to say it has been every other thing but pleasant. Anyone who is licensed in property management or brokerage has to have a physical address (office site)And the previous person from this number told me it was Tampa. Is it Dallas or Tampa? I'm confused and would really appreciate to speak to someone in person. I have a suppressed immune system due to Multiple Sclerosis and put in a work order after work order for many things a couple months ago particularly about mold issues in the master bath and guest bath.. no one has showed. I'll get emails and texts stating the work has been completed but yet no one ever shows. By law, as per our state sc, there is a 14 day window for issues of such matter that affect one's health to be complete. We are working on 2.5 almost 3 months. We love our property and are trying to make sure we keep it in good condition as if we were the owner but that's nearly impossible either no one shows, or half the job is done to what that vendor can do and the rest (such as our fence) is just left, or they come and do a crappy job (for instance: work order out in that sunroom roof leaking.. all they did was seal inside with caulk and spray new popcorn on old) which was pointless because the old was falling off to begin with so now the new that was sprayed on is just coming off with the old. We have put work orders in and they get deleted from the order page but in the same hand documented as complete... which clearly is not the case. We have documentation of ever order we have ever put in as well as the followed documents as to if it was handled or not. Then upon further research Great Jones is not accredited by the BBB which makes me beg to question, is the actual owner of this property aware of the issues at hand with their property? Someone was to show yesterday for the "Mold" issues to cover them up not physically get rid of mold.No show!

My wife and I both put in Applications as required by Great Jones for a House Rental in Port Charlotte FL. We both applied on July 19 and paid the required $50 per person application fee after being told the property was still available by a person at the contact center. Two days later we received an email from Alex A. stating that we passed the background check (no surprise here) and he needed income documentation from us. Since my wife and I are retired we have no pay stubs, he stated in the email he needed a "document" with the terms of our retirement and once he had that "we could start moving you in!" Not understanding what he was looking for, I was proactive and sent him information demonstrating our monthly income from our retirement accounts. In that response I again stated I needed some guidance on what he needed so we could proceed. Crickets.... no response to this day, almost a month later! On Friday July 22nd both my wife and I called the main number requesting to speak with Alex. We told them it was urgent and they said they sent him an email with our request for to contact us. I was sure I would get a call on Monday.... Boy was I wrong. We received no response from him or anyone else with Great Jones to this date (August 7, 2022) Our situation was urgent as we needed to move in on August 1st. The rental home we were seeking was vacant. All we needed was to move in but Alex was non responsive to our phone calls and my return email messages. My wife and I decided to go with another rental because time was running out and Alex and Great Jones were non responsive. I only discovered all the BBB complaints after this mess started. I wish I had the foresight to investigate BEFORE I gave them any money. I am requesting a refund of the $100 we paid ($50 for each of us as required by Application Process). I already filed a fraud claim with my Credit card company to recover the $100 application fees.
