I've rented a property from this company about 3 months ago. About a month ago that AC stopped working in my apartment. I contacted the property management company and went through the proper procedures for filing a maintenance report. I've had 3 different AC company's come out and tell me that the unit is outdated and needs to be replaced. I'm going on a monthThis is the worst property management company on Earth. They do not respond to your emails despite what they say. They do not answer the phone and they will not give you a call back. I have been without AC for over a month and a 1/2 and they are not trying to do anything to help me. I have also Uploaded some pics of the condition of the property when I moved in. The worst property management company on Earth. Do not ever rent from these people. I have a pregnant wife.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/06/29) */ Hi ******, we do not run the background check, RHR does so this is a bit confusing, especially since you could have reached out to us directly. Your report did not pull credit history. It sounds like that may not be right. This is just what is pulled based on your SSN. If that sounds like an error you can reach out to ***************@rhris.com. They actually run the check and can check to make sure you input your SSN accurately.

On 4/12/2021, I funded $1,118.73 to Great Jones to get my property ready and posted for rental on the websites including $300 for maintenance and $330 to pay for utilities. It took Great Jones 13 days from 4/22/2021 to 5/5/2021 to post the property on Zillow with pictures after multiple emails of asking the property pictures to be posted. Finally, the pictures were posted with very low quality and dark. On 5/10/2021, I terminated the agreement with Great Jones. On 5/18/2021, I received an email from Alex V. that my property was off the market. However, there has not been any refund from the $300 maintenance and $330 utility fee until today (6/23/2021). On 06/14/2021, I called the water company and found that Great Jones did not pay any water bill for the property even though they keep the fund. There are 2 times of late fees applied to the property account already. I ended up paying the entire water bill including the late fees. I contacted Alex V. , but no solution since.

In total we sent Great Jones $1500 to apply for and hold a property in Orlando, FL to rent. I asked repeatedly over 3 days for a phone call that never came. The support team told me we could drive 13 hours overnight and call the next day to get a code to get into the house. I began calling 10 hours into the trip and sent at least 25 emails trying to contact someone, anyone, that could get us in the house. I finally got one response when we were at the property. The marketing PHOTOS HAD BEEN ALTERED (NOT old photos, they were ALTERED!) and the house was not even close to the condition that they advertised. The customer service was atrocious and they refused to let me speak to anyone to ask questions even after paying. They used urgency and generic emails as tools of deception. The whole experience felt a lot like thievery. We felt like we could get answers if we paid, but we STILL DON'T HAVE ANSWERS! The way we were treated, I think they should refund it all, including application fee.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/06/22) */ I spoke with Kathy, She read the hold fee agreement she signed and said she understood. This complaint is confusing as we had left it on fine terms. She also has my information to reach out to me directly. This submission to the BBB is strange and honestly concerning. I hope Kathy is ok and if she needs anything she can reach out to me directly. Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2021/06/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) No one spoke to me, they only emailed and only when they felt like it. Yes, I read the agreement and your company was evasive and deceptive after I signed it. My point is, you took my money and offered no real service. You actually avoided offering any service. I have received an email stating that a portion of the hold fee will be refunded. I'm fine with that because I did sign the agreement. There is much much more to this story but I only had so many characters to tell it. As for your comment, "I hope Kathy is Ok." Really? Are you kidding me? That's called gaslighting. There's nothing wrong with me!

I am living in this home, as I have with my father since November 2016. Most recently in May 2021, I received notice from my landlord that he had sold the property. I phoned the new property management company but was unable to secure a new lease. I have always paid on time over the years. My lease runs from November to November, however I received a letter hand delivered by someone saying I needed to vacate in 17 days. They refuse to give me a reason and the new owners name. At the very least, they did not file legal paperwork to evict us and are not honoring the current lease. We really need help with this, as they are asking us to leave today. Please help.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/06/16) */ Hi Kathleen, While we do hate to hear that you've had a poor experience with our company, we have acted within legal rights on behalf of the new owner of the property. I've reviewed your lease agreement which was initially signed in November 2016 with a clause that allowed the lease to go month-to-month after the expiration in 2017. Paragraph 26 states that this month-to-month agreement shall be terminated on 30 days written notice by either party. On 5/10/21 you were sent a notice to vacate the premises on or by 6/15/21. If you have any other questions regarding this, you can reach out to us at *********************
