6/24/25 Theyre charging me $195.00 for a service I told there salesperson ******* that I was not interested in because I could not afford it. He offered to have someone come do a light service for $35 just for my time. Come to find out it was a scam to get me to sign up for 24 months of service at $195 a month! Ive called repeatedly trying to get them to cancel this service, Ive turned away there crew that they keep sending to my house and now they are emailing me a service agreement saying that *** agreed to pay then this ridiculous amount of money for 24 months that will be sent to collections if I do not pay it. Theyre lying saying theyve attempted to contact me to cancel but no one has reached out other than to bill me through email.Business Response

Hello *****,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, we truly appreciate it. Your input helps us continue to improve both our services and the customer experience.
Wed like to address the concerns you raised regarding pricing. One-time pest control services are typically priced higher due to the immediate and intensive nature of the treatment. These visits require more time and resources and do not offer the long-term efficiency and cost benefits that come with recurring service plans.
That said, we do offer discounted pricing when customers enroll in a recurring service plan, as it allows us to provide consistent and proactive pest control coverage. If a service agreement is not fulfilled, we simply ask that the discounted amount be repaid, in this case, the $195 noted on your account.
For transparency, the service agreement duration is clearly listed in bold directly above the signature line and is also emailed to you immediately after signing for your review. At EnviroGuard, we take pride in being upfront and clear about our policies and offerings.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please dont hesitate to reach out. Were here to help.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because your sales man ******* had me under the impression that they would come by and do a service for $30 and thats it. Why would I knowingly sign up for this when I told him my mother is on a fixed income and she cant afford it at this time. Instead of taking my answer he swindled his way into making me think he was just being kind and letting us try the services out ONE TIME when really it was a set up to sign a TWO YEAR CONTRACT?! Do you people have no conscience? The only acceptable solution is to just end this mess and take me off your roster of people youve tricked into this service.
Sincerely,

The company came door to door. When I signed up for the service, I was told 12-month commitment and that their product was pet environment friendly. Now they tell me the contract is for 18 months. I had a concern about reactions to my pets. Started service in August my pets have been itching and scratching since then. I have contacted company on numerous occasions. received the chemical report provided by the company and found that it can be harmful to dogs as well as causing reactions. Also found out company will charge monthly for services even though they won't be coming out to provide those services. Those months are October, January and February. They stated they will cancel my contract but I must pay a $199 cancellation fee. If I dont pay it they will go after me through collections..I have a concern about a company that will not respect pets and their health.Business Response

This company began service at my home for pest control. They did terrible service, missing things at every single apt. Over spraying inside to where I had to mop up chemicals after they were finished. So I call to cancel and they say I have a contract, although I have NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT NOR HAVE I SEEN A CONTRACT with this company. They send the contract over, not my signature or my name on contract. I have called about 20 times. Been on hold for hours. I have emailed. I have texted. They keep sending me bills, higher every bill and are now threatening to send to collections. This is not and has not ever been my account. They will not close this or resolve this.Business Response

Hello,
We have spoken over the phone and agreed to remove your information. You agreed that your boyfriend signed up for services at your resident which would make him liable. We want to be clear, EnviroGuard Pest Control is not responsible if someone else signs up for service on your behalf without your knowledge or consent. The contract was signed by your boyfriend, who opened the door and legally authorized the service and agreed to the terms.

On or about May 14, 2025, a salesman from Enviroguard Pest Control approached my husband in the driveway of our home. He promised monthly visits from the pest control company, a reasonable fee of $60 per month with first month free and the ability to cancel at any time without penalties. They only come bi-monthly and the first month was $75 and $65 after. We have had all kinds of bug problems and a difficult time contacting people at the company. We leave messages and never get a call back. When we are able to contact someone, they send someone out; BUT we still have issues. They offered a discount of $50 per month for the remainder of our contract (which we never saw, let alone signed). They charged $50 for July but are now charging $65. They said if we cancel the contract we would be charged a fee up to $400 (what contract?) They won't send a copy of the contract. The last straw is that my husband was bitten all over his body when trimming the ****** and washing the windows. (The ****** were suppose to have been treated with bug killer - guess again). I was able to talk to a representative; but was told her supervisor would call me back. Never received a call back. My first instinct was; if the company was good at their job, why do they have to go door to door selling their service. The salesman said he just happened to be in the area. I was so right! Buyer Beware!Business Response

Hello *****,
We appreciate the opportunity to discuss your account and concerns. As weve communicated previously, we have adjusted your bill to $47.50 per month.
Your service is scheduled on a bi-monthly basis, but please know you are eligible for follow-up visits and re-services during the off months should any issues arise at your home. Our office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and our team is readily available by phone to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Regarding the contract, a copy was emailed and opened at the time of signing. It outlines the services we provide over a specified period, typically one year, to ensure consistent treatment and long-term pest prevention. Because we offer discounted rates based on this full-term agreement, there is a cancellation fee if the contract is ended early. This fee helps cover the costs of services already rendered, especially during the initial intensive treatment phase.
To address your comment about our door-to-door approach: this method is not an indication of a lack of quality. Rather, it allows us to educate homeowners directly, answer questions in real time, and build trust in ways that online ads or billboards cannot achieve.
We are genuinely sorry to hear about your husbands experience, we understand how frustrating that must be. While we strive to reduce and control pest activity as much as possible, it is important to note that no pest control company can completely eliminate all pests from outdoor environments, especially in high-activity areas like ******, shrubs, or dense landscaping. These natural habitats can quickly repopulate, particularly during warmer months or after heavy rain, despite regular treatments.
This concludes our formal response to your complaint. All communications, agreements, and actions have been made in good faith and in accordance with our policies. Should you require further resolution, we remain open to discussing it directly.Initial Complaint

On May 31st a young man was going around looking for customer who would like bugs spray around the house including roaches , and other insects. I agreed with my husband to use the treatment which was once per month. I wrote a check for him for $75.00, and a young man was there to start the treatment, which was done in two days because of rain on that day. I didn't see anyone come back to spray in JUNE, JULY, or AUGUST. When I looked into my bank account I noticed that they (the company) took out the money , but did not use the check, they use the routing number instead. They never come to spray from the first time, but I see 6/6, $75, 7/1, $75, 7/31 ,$75 . So I called the company to ask about the withdrawal and no treatment. They stated the treatment was done, and if I cancelled the contract, I have to pay them 300 plus dollars. On 8/14 I noticed that they took out $225. 00 more. The bank charged me $ ***** to put a stop withdrawal for a period of time. The representative who i was communicating with reference me to call the Better Business Bureau. I think the first check was taken out on 6/6. I had wrote that check to pay for the first treatment, and that was all the treatment we had. In total they stole : $325.00, We have cameras around the house, and my Neighbor can also vouch for us that no one came to spray around the house.Initial Complaint

On 4/30/25 envirogaurd salesman approached me in my driveway. Claimed to have a deal going with the first month free the $65 every other month for pest control. I signed contract believing what he told me. I got billed $65 that month and the sprayed my property. Next month I got billed again but wasnt getting a treatment as it was bimonthly treatment. I called office and was informed the its a monthly payment of $65 with treatment bimonthly. I informed her that not what was explained to me. Why would I agree to pay for months with no treatment? She said she is looking at my contract, thats what it says. I informed her that not what was explained to me, and the salesman also claimed first month free, that didnt happen. Told them I was not paying them anymore money, Id stop payment if needed. She informed me if I breach contract with non payment there is a $375 ********* 5/5/25 I received an email that they are taking $375 out of my account and closing my account. I never breached the contract, I never missed a payment. Id like the $375 back that they stole from my account without any notice or breach of contract.Initial Complaint

July 12, 2023 was the initial contact by a salesman. He told us it would be $50 per month and we could cancel at any time. The 1st treatment was done the next day. I received a bill for $55 on 8/16/23 but no service was performed. Now I am being told that the contract says its a bi-monthly service but billed monthly. That is not what was understood at the time of sale. Also, they want $200 as they said it was a discounted price. The service and cost was misrepresented by the salesman. I did sign the contract but was not provided a copy until after the 1st service was performed. I feel this company misrepresented the service and billing.Customer Answer
