i bought a new Rav4 which is a great car! at least it was before they went turbo/cvt. they gave me a good deal $3000 off the sticker price. No complaints there. But DON'T EVER GO THERE FOR SERVICE !! Warranty ok but don't let them sell you stuff you don't need even if they say you do.I took my tundra there for timing belt and water pump which was a fair price. But they tried to sell me a new steering unit which i didn't need , then they told me my radiator was leaking transmission fluid. Which turned out to be a lie, i had put a new one in a year ago, so I was wondering why. turns out it was not leaking a drop. they said since i couldn't check the fluid level it could ruin the transmission. They didn't even know my truck had a dip stick for the transmission. I saved $800 on that one. Then I took my FJ cruiser there because i had some noise in the rear when driving. They said i needed a new differential $6000, two new front axles $1600 each, a new rear axle bearing almost $2000, my fluids changed in the differentials and transfer case almost $600, Then they said I needed the brake fluid changed it was dirty, (funny i had it changed a week ago) i checked it and it was clean as new! they also said the radiator fluid needed to be changed, (funny it was changed a month ago and was also clean)! Now i'm starting to get upset, so I tell them no way, they charged me $338 to look at it. I paid them and took the car. Turns out the caliper was sticking and $200 later at a reputable shop the sound is gone and like new. DON'T LET THESE PEOPLE RIP YOU OFF!!!YOU CAN NOT TRUST THEM!!!

I had bought a used ***** gs350 2017 from auto nation Toyota of Fort Myers. Started having issues with the car from second day. The major issue which came after a week was that the therm sensor on the passenger stopped working. I was told that that will not be covered in the initial 3 months or 1500 miles warranty and I have to pay from my pocket which was $5500. I would recommend never buy any used car from them they are the worst in customer service and service. Completely disgusting experience. ***

Took my 2019 Rav4 for an oil change, during the process the tech leaned on the engine air intake hose and dislodged it from the the filter housing. Took it back the next day and they corrected the issue. The following day, after refueling, the vehicle stalled and it was towed back to the dealer. They said it was posible bad fuel, but after performing the ethanol test, fuel came out fine. They found a code for a sensor (?) stating that I "over filled the tank causing gas to the canister that caused the car to shot off", and I got charged $187.37 for it. I think it was the hose they dislodged. Filed a claim with Toyota Brand Engagement Center, and later I received a message from the dealer, saying they will contact me soon, but nothing so far. Not going back to that dealer, had other issues while this car was still under warranty, that they would not address, but the Naples Toyota dealer did. Not going back to this dealer ever.

If you want to be treated like you are trying to steal a car rather than a valued customer then call them. I did all my research, contacted them to get a New grand Highlander hybrid. I had the VIN number. I was ready to just put down a deposit to order the car which is in production. They send me a quote with an add-on of $995 for tints, all weather mats and some wheel locks. I told them that I didn’t want that. They said I can’t remove it. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager straight up told me I can go to another dealer, that they will not remove it. He said it was a cost to them, and it is added to all of their vehicles. I told him, how can it be a cost to you if you still don’t even have the car? The car does not have tints or weather mats or locks at this time. There is time to remove it. He insisted that it was mandatory for me to pay $995 for the items that I didn’t want. He also said everybody likes weather mats. So in his mind, I’m supposed to like weather mats too. He proceeded to hang up on me. Soon after I got a text from the sales person and we continued on a series of text back-and-forth. Completely disgusting experience. I’m going somewhere else. Don’t go here unless you want to pay $995 for something you can get elsewhere. Do you research, call around and know your rights. Don’t let these crooks fool you

I was told by "Hunter" I didn't have a choice to take either the *** insurance or the Auto Nation coverage-this is not true and according to Florida State Law is illegal to say. He told me I was leaving with one or the other since the company was making NO money off of me since I bought out my lease. Once he was challenged on this he handed me off to a different finance manager "*****". Once I was home after spending 4 hours in the used car facility, I was reading over the documents and discovered I did have a choice. I called "*****", he said of course you had a choice, but not once did he tell me that. The bank that financed my vehicle called and I stated I wanted to cancel the *** insurance, I needed to contact Auto Nation. In the meantime, ******-Finance Manager had reached out -7/19/2024(via text) because apparently the bank had put my loan on HOLD. I never told them to do that. I called her and told her to move forward and I would handle canceling the *** insurance. When I raised these issues with ******, her response was well I wasn't there and WE took a hit for over $600 to even get you financed. Several days had passed, reached out to ****** via text 7/23 & 7/25 asking if everything was all set and when I would be receiving my registration. No response, I contacted *** -who I was told was the ** and explained all my issues he said he would address everything and get back to me. ****** however, texted me a picture of a new plate and registration THE SAME DAY, she said *** had reached out to her. I said "why a new plate and she said since I didn't own the plate I had. This is also not true I attempted to call ****** 3 times with no answer but she would text, finally when I said that to her, she called and said she was with a customer. Well should she be texting another customer while working with a customer? Unprofessional. I will NEVER recommend Auto Nation and I will NEVER go to Auto Nation for anything.

I live in ******* and purchased while wintering in Fort Myers in March. Still have not received title paperwork and can no longer drive the vehicle due to expired temp tag. They hide behind voice mail and will not respond to emails. What are my options? This is the worst dealer I have delt with in over 40 years of doing business!!

We bought an auto from this dealership in April and cannot get the paperwork to title the vehicle. Numerous unreturned calls and blind answers.

Extreme overpricing on getting my RAV 4 fixed. I was told that the engine was dead, and that it needed a new engine. They wanted to charge me $10,264.41 to fix my SUV RAV 4. I called AAA and had them tow it to a place called *****************. They were confused as to why Autonation declared my engine to be dead. They informed me that the problem with my SUV was that it needed a new radiator and coolant. They proceeded to fix it with my permission for a fraction of the charge Autonation wanted to charge me. I only paid $1,128.32. Autonation of Ft. Myers, shame on you for the overcharge.

Terrible dealership!!! Sold us a brand new 2023 Tacoma that due to the faulty windshield fluid not spraying properly makes the vehicle unsafe. We have wasted hours of our time dealing with this dealership not fixing the issue . After the last visit, we’re I waited over 5 hours in their waiting room, for the service department to tell me my truck is ready and hopped in to find the truck in the same condition as when I dropped it off in the morning. Then spoke to the service manager Mark to tell me that a part needed ordered again. Over a month later since the last visit and no response from Mark, the service dept., or the sales manager. Called and left numerous voicemails and emails with Mark and the sales manager. Called the service to find out the part was never ordered.

I stopped in after emailing with the dealership internet salesperson to view the TRD Pro 4-Runners. Understanding the advertised price of the vehicles online I made the 1.5 hour drive to view the vehicles and have my trade evaluated. As I awaited the online salesperson to gather information on my trade I perused the vehicles. To my surprise, this dealership had applied a $17k markup to the MSRP of the vehicles. Once noticed, I immediately stopped the purchasing process. In such economic/financial hardship of times, interest rates soaring out of control, how can any dealership find it acceptable to apply a 30% increase to the vehicle? This markup doesn’t come with any additional items/options/service etc, it’s basically a hostage price for the right to purchase the vehicle. In my opinion, this is classic price gouging, and an unethical business practice which discriminates against qualified buyers, and promotes acceptance of inequity. I would like to think that Toyota Corporation at a minimum would not accept a dealership to engage in unethical or discriminative business practices to its customers.  Try to get a loan and/or insurance for a vehicle that is 30% inflated more than MSRP/vehicle value that will be devalued the moment you ink the loan. Toyota Financial and all other lenders would laugh you out of the requested loan. It’s simply unscrupulous behavior and I would caution anyone from conducting business with this dealership. Lastly, just last week I received an email from the dealership wanting the know how my experience was at the dealership. The email came from the online salesman I was dealing with, though the email writer identified themself as the GM of Autonation. I found that a bit bizarre, but par for the course in dealing with this unscrupulous dealership. Buyer beware, and I will continue to escalate and address this matter with Toyota Corporate, and other avenues.
