Ascendo recruited me for a contract job and their behavior was extremely scammy and deceiving. I was promised a gas allowance from the beginning of $500 per month. I did not receive it for 3 weeks. I had to make them aware of this mistake and after they were made aware they finally deposited half into my account. The week after the money was deposited it was withdrawn out of my account. Today is 09/02 and i need to pay rent. I dont believe it is right or even acceptable to play with an individuals money especially through the times of high inflation we are going through now. I made the company aware, and they decided to pay me what is owed a week after. Now i may even incur a late fee by my tenants due to their negligence. I made it aware before 10AM that i needed the money today and they made no effort to provide me the money same day. Even though they recognized it was a mistake on the companys part. I asked for a wire transfer and they went to the extent to lie that if they wired me the money it would be in my account the next week. Bank rules are that if you wire money before 5PM, the money will be received between 5-6PM same day! I even asked them to zelle me the money which is also a same day transaction. All they offered was a gift card for half the money or to wait until the following week for the full amount. My colleagues that were hired by ascendo had the same issue. I recommend anyone that is reading this to save the headache and apply to the position they are looking for directly through the website and not through ascendo. I also recommend any company working with ascendo to keep any eye out if you value credibility and strong relationship with future hires, do not use ascendo as your hiring agency.
