I attended NSU for one semester, paid off the entire semester through loans and my own money, and then had to drop out of the program from many reasons. I informed every department possible that I was no longer going to be attending the university and requested that they please remove me as a student and return any funds that were already dispersed for the next semester/or tell me how to do so. It is now 7 months later and they have continually tried to charge me over a thousand dollars for a semester I never attended, despite my telling them I was dropping out. How can you possibly ask someone to pay for a semester that they never attended, never used any of your facilities or got the credit for the classes, and informed you they were leaving before the semester began? They have threatened to take action against me if I do not pay this bill but I will not be bullied into doing so. I have now had to get FAFSA involved as well because they have alluded to the fact that they kept the money dispersed for the semester I never attended. Customer service is ridiculous and needs to change.

I filled an application to start at Nova Southeastern University to start a Maac for the fall 2021. However, after realizing how expensive was the university, I decided not to attend it and go back to my previous undergraduate university. I received a letter for the university stating I owed money for the fall semester, however I did not attend. I believe I drop the class and if it wasn’t done correctly then it is the duty of the professor to check in the first week of class. I didn’t attend this class because I decided to go back to my previous university and even changed my FAFSA before the Fall 2021. Most surprising, I logged into the university account and looked that I received a grade for a class I didn’t interact and an email from the advisor stating that I failed the class I never attend. I would like for the University to straight up the record and question the professor If I EVER interact in the class which I did not. This is very unprofessional and I would like to get a resolution to this.
