I was having an issue with my LaZ Boy recliner last December. The chair was slipping when pulling the handle. My wife **** called LaZ Boy and was told to contact its authorized repair company, Fast Furniture Repair ("FFR"). ***** from FFR came out on January 18. He told me the ratchet in the chair mechanism has worn out and needed replacement. ***** said that he did not have the correct replacement part but could order the part on his computer. The ratchet part is under warranty but the repair labor was not. He said he ordered the part and charged us a service fee of $90.95. I have a copy of the service fee invoice but it does not contain a part number - just the invoice information. ***** took that information from the chair. I was told that ******** would send the part to us and then we should contact FFR to come out and complete the repairs. When nothing happened by Feb 1, my wife contacted FFR and spoke with ***********************. ****** told my wife that she would follow up with ********. Nothing happened. My wife contacted ********. ******** claims that they never received a parts request. My wife began several attempted follow *** with ***********************. she is supposed to be the Key Client Liaison but never answers the phone directly. You have to leave a message. *** says that calls will be returned within 48 hours but that has not happened. My wife has left several messages with ****** in the last month but they don't get returned. My wife did receive an email from ****** that claimed the parts request was sent to ******** on Feb 1. ******** claims they never received the parts order. We received another email, indicating FFR would follow back up with ********. However, we are still in limbo. It has been 2 months. FFR claims it sent the parts order in but ******** said they never received it. ******** has also been no help. FFR should have our parts information yet no real effort has been made to see this matter through by FFR. Please help us make something happen.
