******** customer service. I've never been treated so poorly by a company before. We had a problem with our domestic flight -the plane was broken, which was supposed to get in 6 hours before our Avianca flight, and as we waited and waited we realized we weren't going to make our international flight. We had only added luggage a couple hours before when we checked in online, and it cost us $130 for one checked bag with Avianca. We called Avianca, knowing that we wouldn't get our flight money back because it was a non-refundable flight, but we just wanted our luggage money back since we wouldn't be on the flight. Instead of even being nice about it but refusing, the customer service agent blatantly argued with me and tried to make me look stupid for thinking I should get my luggage money back when I had purchased a non-refundable *flight*. This is only part 1, though. We had expected that we would still have our return flight in place since we were only missing our flight out (and we were purchasing a new flight to *********). No one from Avianca said otherwise in the 45 minutes I spent on the phone with them. The night before my flight home from ********* I realized I hadn't gotten an email to check in. I called them and they said that if you don't show up for one end of the flight you automatically cancel the other as well. They refused to put me on the same flight I had already purchased a ticket for and instead told me I could purchase a new ticket for $600 (one way, on the flight I was already supposed to be on). I will never be purchasing from Avianca again. I will actively spend more money to purchase a ticket from a different airline.

No aceptan $5, $10 quieren ms.

The worse Airline ever. Lost my bags and refuse to assume responsibility. They ignore any and all messages sent to them. Treat you like they are the only airline and abuse the inability of some of their customers to communicate. Personnel and company in a whole, are the worse!

I am writing regarding a case due for a refund for 4 flights that were originally intended for September12,2022. Avianca changed the flight date which now didn't work with travel agenda. I immediately contacted the airlines and went through the process of getting my refund via my credit card used. I was notified that there were issue in sending my refund via my credit card. They are now requesting my bank routing and account number which I did provide to them. For some reason they didn.t explain they couldn't do it either. Now they are sending me an Avianca UTAP card that would be preloaded with the amount of money spent on my flight. I did received these UTAP card one per person. When I tried to use them they didn't work. Now I had to get on the phone so they could fix the problem with these card, A week later I received an email stating that I would be able to use them. As I tried to use them I found out that they were charging more then any other flight website and that I could only purchase one ticket at a time. They make it impossible for you to use these UTAP card. If you do use then you are now over paying for your flight. It's a game played by them so you never get a refund or pay more then you should. I would like to get a complete refund of my purchase amount.

I want to start by saying I purchased a business class ticket. I was charged $100.00 for special luggage that I brought to be checked. I brought a pair of skis with me. When I requested the contract of carriage to verify what they were telling me, Avianca could not provide it for me, nor did they ever provide with me with the carriage of contract. Additionally, when I had mor time to review the contract of carriage, Avianca's staff incorrectly quoted me those definitions from their own carriage of contract. According to the carriage of contract with Avianca, for those flying business class, the following bags are allowed: - A personal item, one carry-on baggage and two pieces of checked baggage (32 kg). - Also, starting from February 1, 2024, if you are flying with a classic, flex, or business fare, you can replace your first piece of included baggage with sports equipment.- Avianca accepts as baggage a pair of skis or a snowboard, two poles, boots, and shoes. It must measure up to 230 linear centimeters at maximum. My linear measurement was 158 linear cm.Initially, the excuse I was given was because my ticket didn't allow for special equipment. When I pointed out I was in business class, they then stated the item didn't meet the linear requirements. When I pointed out they didn't measure correctly, they reverted back to their original statement that my ticket didn't allow me to bring on a special item. I paid their $100.00 fee simply because I feel like I was forced into that.Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Ive had the worst experience with Avianca. I bought tickets with the option for a refund, in case someone couldnt travel. Unfortunately, four people ended up being unable to go. I submitted a refund request on August 19, 2024, and to this day, I still havent received my refund. Ive called countless times, submitted all the required documents, and yet Im still waiting. I did manage to speak with a supervisor, and all she said was, "You just have to wait," which I find completely unacceptable, especially after waiting almost three months for a refund.Avianca- shouldn't even get a one star!

NO Stars This is the worst airline operating in North and *************. Cancelled return flights, didn't care, no compensation offered, no assistance on extended stay arrangement. Numerous emails and phone calls, nothing nothing nothing.Their customer service relies on doing nothing conceding nothing and not providing relevant contacts for resolving issues.Who cancels flights two weeks in advance. No assistance. Nothing. WHO delays a flight by 2 days, refunds wouldn't even cover a new ticket at the late dates. They said this in one email "Force Majeure" (Fraud Majeure)- Force Majeure is a common clause in contracts which essentially frees both parties from liability or obligation when an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of the parties, such as a war, strike, riot, crime, epidemic, or sudden legal change prevents one or both parties from fulfilling their obligations under the contract. Force majeure often includes events described as an act of God, though such events remain legally distinct from the clause itself. In practice, most force majeure clauses do not entirely excuse a party's non-performance but suspend it for the duration of the force majeure.[2]We will see what happens in court, when I f****** sue them, Avianca Piece of s***

****** P - Hi, I encountered issues with Avianca when I purchased an additional baggage on 9/28/24 during the check-in process. Their Web-Site gave me the price in Colombian Pesos and when I paid with my card, the charged was done in USD. They charged me $200USD. This is a scam and fraud. I placed various claims and they denied to reimbursed me. The total cost of the additional baggage if you were to pay over the phone was $80.USD. I called customer services and that is the price given. The Web Site does not work, their chat is automated and when you call them, it is impossible to get a live representative unless you hit the option to buy a new ticket. Every agent and "supervisor" i have spoken with have not been able to help. They do not connect you to the complaint department and they claimed that they do not have a *****************

The airlines are charging surge prices on check-in bags! Check-in bag cannot be part of supply demand variation.Recently I travelled with Avianca airlines through ************They charged me $120 for checking in the bag at airport! They said the price varies from $35 to $120.Who is benefitting from that? That money is not shared with airport workers anyway.Next time I tried to book it from their mobile app. It showed ne $60 but mobile app raised an error. So still I ended up paying $120 at airport again!Customers are getting squeezed with variety of charges and nobody it stopping the airlines.
