Purchased impact windows and doors for my home on September 7, 2021. As of December 27, 2022, they have attempted to install the doors on 3 occasions. 1st attempt delivered the wrong doors, 2nd attempt doors did not fit and 3rd attempt the panels ******* the frame.Additionally, one of the windows was installed with cracked glass (have the pictures). I have all of the documents, emails, pictures, and phone call records regarding my ongoing issue with this company over the past year and a half. In addition, the permits have expired which is their responsibility and the *** asked about an inspection however, I cannot pass the inspection because the job is not completed. I have escalated this situation to the manager as well as the supervisor and at this point, I have heard more than my share of excuses. This is a short synopsis but I am willing to share any other information that you may need for my case. My next step is to seek an attorney consultation to get this resolved. Please be aware I have over 100 pages of documents which is too many to upload but I would be more than happy to make copies and send to your company upon request for veriication purposes.

I had ordered hurricane windows and doors for my entire house in 7/2021. Installation started the week of Christmas, 2021. Installation was done around Christmas 12/21 and a few months later. We failed inspection in April because the front door was missing the required stickers. Before inspection, we found that one of the windows on the 2nd floor was leaking. There is a second, fixed, arched window about 2' above this sliding window. Water was dripping down from the drywall at the top of the bottom window. Storm Tight came in to caulk some more, but to this day the window is still leaking, more and more so. They added more caulking several times this year, to no avail. By now, water leaks very quickly during any storm, the drywall is cracked. About 4 weeks ago, Storm Tight Windows sent out somebody who "would be able to make the decision to order a new window", but all he did was measure moisture levels in the drywall and say that somebody who had more knowledge than him would need to look at it. During this visit, I also pointed out that the screen mesh on one window on the second floor was coming out of the frame and that one of the sliding door screens downstairs had holes. He promised all would be taken care of.I called the local office two weeks ago and corporate office a week ago. Nobody is returning my calls. Corporate said the file says the roof is leaking, especially from the skylight. We do not have a skylight! The roof was replaced in 8/21 and checked today, there is no roof leak. The roofer sprayed water with a hose onto the two windows in question, within less than four minutes water was pouring out from the drywall at the top of the bottom window.I need Storm Tight Windows to 1. repair/replace the leaking window(s), test for leaks after repair 2. repair screens 3. repair drywall that was damaged because of continuing leakage 4. provide the missing stickers for the front door (double door)5. renew permit and call in new inspection

I am rejecting this response because: It takes several weeks to complete this job. They have been at my house today (12/20/22), finally evaluated the problem correctly. They will come on 12/21/22 for a temporary fix. They will order a new window which will take several weeks to arrive and then install it correctly. They also promised to repair the exterior stucco that was probably causing the leakage and the interior drywall that was damaged through leakage that was going on for ten months. They will also repair all screens, even pointed out one that I had not yet noticed. Storm Tight Windows has been very cooperative since I filed the complaint, but the proper way to fix it just takes time. I understand that, but do not want to say that the problem has been resolved until the new window is in and tested.

    Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:

I am waiting to have a leak-free window installed and any damage to stucco and drywalls repaired as well as having passed final inspection. I know that Storm Tight Windows is working very hard to get this resolved, and I am quite optimistic that it will get done this time. After my complaint, they have so far made every effort to identify the problem with the window and correct the problem with the leaking window.. I appreciate their response so far. It still leaves the issue of missing stickers for the front door and passing inspection. I am aware that it will take some time to get the window delivered and installed. Once that is done, stickers are provided for the front door, and the inspection is passed, I will accept their response. Once again, I am very satisfied with how they are currently working on resolving this issue.

    Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: they told me over a month ago that back then they had already initiated the reopening of my permit. According to the **********************, it takes a minimum of two weeks to process a permit application. Storm Tight Windows has to try everything possible to shorten this time frame. I need to pass inspection and close the permit so that I can close on my house.

I hired StormTight Windows ******* in April of 2022 to install two new CAT 5 hurricane sliding glass doors in my house. I was quoted $13,500 and went under contract with StormTight. The contract required a down payment of $4050.00 at time of signing which I paid for with a check. In August I was contacted by StormTight to set up an installation date for the new doors. On August 8th, 2022 an installer was sent by StormTight. The installer did not speak any ************* was forced to communicate with him through his wife on the phone. I was required to write a check for $8100.00 before the work began. Half way through the install I noticed that he was putting the wrong doors into the wrong openings resulting in damage to the interior trim of my home. I contacted *****************************, who is StormTight's Field Supervisor and the **************** as well as sent photos of the damage and faulty install. StormTight was apologetic and sent a new installer out 2 days later to fix the mess. The doors were put in and upon inspecting them I noted to ***** that the doors were damaged and did not open properly. He agreed and said he was ordering two new doors and new screens but it would take 4-6 weeks. I have tried getting information on when the new doors will arrive and completion of the job will take place. I cannot get anyone from StormTight to return my calls, text messages, emails. On Monday, 10/24/22, I spoke with ******** at the corporate office and she told me that she doesn't see that there was any order for replacement doors/screens for my property. ******** sent an email on Monday, 10/24/22 to ************************* (Supervisor) and ***************************** inquiring what the next course of action will be. I was included on the email and I have not heard from anyone from StormTight windows. My current situation is, I have paid $12,150.00 to StormTight and have been left with two damaged sliding glass doors and screens that don't fit. The job is unfinished and has not been inspected.
