  I rarely write reviews, but our negative experience with Daves Fence motivated me to alert other potential customers. As background, in 2018 we used ********************************************* for a large project and we were pleased with their work and had a generally positive experience.Our first red flag was the requirement to pay upfront for the job in full and I wish I would have followed my instincts. I never pay in full for contract work upfront. In 2018, Daves Fence required a retainer, which is understandable, but now they require full payment to even schedule a job. Our job included the installation of a double gate and a single gate in an existing chain link fence.I requested an estimate via text on 10/31/2024, Daves Fence took my order on 11/09/2024 and the charge to my credit card was processed on 11/11/2024. Over the course of several months, work was delayed, incorrect materials were ordered, scheduled work was cancelled, Daves Fence no showed for scheduled work and some completed work had to be redone. At one point, after some research, I voiced my concerns about the companys ability to pay its suppliers. I started talking to my bank about the steps necessary to dispute dated credit card charges for unfinished work. Our job was completed on 02/13/2025.The representatives I spoke to at Daves Fence were generally not very helpful. They tended to be short with me on the phone and there was little communication unless I initiated the call. In hindsight, if our experience is typical at Daves Fence, Im sure their representatives deal with a lot of unpleasant phone conversations throughout the week.Weve never received an explanation or an apology from Daves Fence for our experience. This is not the same Daves Fence company it was years ago. If you are considering Daves Fence for a project, do your research. There are not many contractors that require full payment up front, so it may be masking a larger issue.

  ****** Fence replaced our old back fence in the Fall of 2023. It abuts 2 of our neighbors' properties. When Hurricane ****** blew through (2024), part of the fence began to tip forward. I called ****** Fence to have the fence repaired and sent them photos. They insisted we pay them up front for the repairs. When the installer came to the house, he was unable to fix the fence because he needed another installer to assist. When he came back with another installer, (no phone calls from this company by the way informing us the installers would be here) the fence was repaired however, they dug a TRENCH in my neighbor's yard and left piles of dirt on their lawn. When I called to complain, the woman on the phone was extremely rude and said a job would be scheduled to clean up the mess. As of today, we have had no phone call from this company to do the clean up work. In the meantime, my elderly husband went into our neighbor's yard and cleaned up the piles of dirt and filled in the trench. This company does not deserve an A+ rating. I would not even give them one star. Go elsewhere for fence work!

  DO NOT waste your time! Was quoted a price. Called about a week later to move forward with quote. Scheduled for the salesman to return, he arrives, & advises me the price is $500 more. A little puzzled, I asked You are not honoring the price you quoted me. He stated no we are not. That should give you an idea of their business practice. ************* is still alive & well.

  Dave's fence looks good but did you know that they do not use U channels on both sides, only one? This gives the fence a finished professional appearance. I had a different fence company tell me this years later when they did a repair for me due to my large dog. So I have never recommended this company. I called the company twice and they said they do that with all their privacy fences. In the photos, it shows opposite. The lady owner was not very pleasant. My entire back privacy fence only has one u channel, meaning the fence rails shift and have an opening of about an inch. I don’t think they were honest with me and i feel a bit ripped off. Do not use them folks. I will be glad to send photos or video anytime of my privacy fence as proof.

  I recently got a fence at Dave's Fencing on the September 20th 2022 hurricane Ian was to make landfall the 28th and they still installed my fence the fence was not set properly I've reached out 10 times about my fence still have yet to get a response . I paid almost 7500 dollars for my fence haven't had it for a week and the fence isn't broken just need to be packed correctly they will not reach out they gave me a quote for 700 dollars with no damage to my fence at all . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM DAVE'S FENCING .Installing a fence 6 days before the hurricane and WANTING TO CHARGE ME TO REPACK THE GATE THAT WAS NEVER PACKED PROPERLY MY NEIGHBORS FENCE DIDN'T BUDGE BUT MY FENCE IS SAGGING THEY WILL NEVER GET ANYMORE OF MY MONEY PRICE GAUGING AND UNPROFESSIONAL ALL AT THE SAME TIME . UNACCEPTABLE VERY UNACCEPTABLE . It's sad you spend that much money they send third party guys out that don't do the job right . DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DAVE'S FENCING .

  Price gouging installed my fence 2 years ago for 3549.00 had damage from the storm minimal but damage the quote for repair 985.49 I am very disappointed and will never recommend this company again to anyone and believe me their have been many fences purchased because of us and our recommendations my business will now go to superior fence as well as my recommendations in the future! Shame on your customer service.

  Daves Fence installed my fence on my property did not do what they contracted to do they left out the gate posts we're supposed to be thick wall 4 inch gate post I had to threaten them to get them back out to install the gate post properly in concrete. I also asked them for a fence quote I received a one line email with a price I called AAA Fence and they sent me all kinds of options on the gates had no choice but to go with AAA would not recommend Daves Fence very unorganized and Owner would not return my calls
