I set up an account and ordered weekly meals (plant-based) for my elderly mother. I was supposed to receive the first shipment this week, but it never came. I was charged, of course. I called the company and they first told me that they checked the shipping and it was on track. They also told me they would send me the *** tracking information to my email but they never did. When it did not show again yesterday, I called the company again and was told that boxes were damaged in-transit and they would need to call *** to find out if mine was one of the deliveries damaged so they could replace the box. They told me they would call me back and email me and again, nothing. I want my money back.Business Response

I started my weekly meal subscription with Eat Clean LLC on April 24, 2023. My first two weeks went well. My 3rd week arrived 3 days late (holiday not involved) and had the incorrect meals (meat and I am vegetarian). I received a credit and an apology. The next week I was missing meals again and called to cancel my subscription before the cut off for the meals the following week (I called the same day my meals came in). The following week I received 1 box of meals. I was charged for the box and the card I initially used to start my subscription was also charged. I called and requested to be refunded and once again cancel my subscription. I was assured that I would be reimbursed for my two charges ($109.66 x 2) in 7 - 10 business days. I have not received the reimbursement and the folks I was emailing ***************************** and ***************************** will not email me back now and will not *************.Business Response

I appreciate the fact that Eat Clean responded. The credits listed have not been credited to me. The dollar amounts are not correct. I ask that Eat clean please review the credits provided, they did not get credited to my account.

I purchased this meal plan May 28. The attached email is the only correspondence I received. I was sent no receipts. I was sent no notifications for charges or deliveries. I could not log into my account. I tried to reset the password, it said 'reset password email sent' but no such email ever arrived. The only way to contact them is by phone. Everytime I spoke to them on the phone they were difficult to communicate with and they would put me on hold and drop the call. I was hung up on 3 different times.The food I purchased sat in the sun all day on my front porch and went bad due to their total lack of communication. They would not offer a refund or replacement. They told me they would cancel my subscription but charged me another $85.47 for a delivery for this next week. Since they 'cancelled' my account I cannot log in to see what the charge was for. They also advertise that the food is 'clean' implying healthy. If you look at the photos the food is not healthy. I think this business is a scam. At the very least they need to send receipts for purchases. And communicate about deliveries. The email says they offer text alerts for delivery tracking. No such tracking exists.Business Response

I canceled my account on 5/31/23, prior to the deadline to chose meals for the following week. They still charged me and sent a random assortment of meals. When I called they said I should have canceled the day before. because that was my bill date. That is not stated anywhere and I was billed on 6/1/23. I added funds to my account in the amount of $50. This money was taken out of my account on 5/22/2023 and then I was charged $63.99 for the weekly meal plan on 5/24/2023. I am unable to contact the business because no one answers the phone and no email contact for customer service exists. I have attempted to call the ***** number but it is out of service. I sent an email to ************************************** asking for help but there has been no response. I understood my bill should have been $63.99 since I am a new customer. I want to know why the $50 I added to my account online was used in addition to the original billing. If the $50 was to be applied appropriately then I should have only been charges $13.99 on 5/24/2023. Asking for assistance and a refund. I was looking for a meal service and found Eat Clean. Their website didn't let you see what the program was or what type of food unless you registered which required a debit/credit card. Once I saw their plans I didn't think I would like the type of food they offered. It was all foreign to me and too spicy for me. I never ordered one single meal. Instead I kept hitting skip until I could figure out how to cancel completley. Then I got a big box of food and called them at once and told them to stop!! Then I found they had already charged me $114.99. I called them again and told them to STOP and they said they would refund my money. Later I went back to my account and found they had charged me Earlier, without sendinf food. $65.49. No idea why? Again I called looking for my refund. Still no refund but instead they sent another box of inedible food and charged me again $114.99. Prior to the second box I called looking for my refund and was told their office wasn't open on Tuesday and Thursdays so no information but I am sure they knew that they had already planned to ship a second box and charge me again in spite of my telling them to STOP. I filed a fraud complaint with my bank and I want my money back and this lunacy to stop. I canceled my debit card, which was my business card and that is causing all sorts of issues. They knew better and they just kept trying to dump this food on people who don't want it so they take their money.Business Response

***********************I called 3 times and told them I was going to file a formal complaint. When I got the first box I called immediately and told them to stop!!! She said she saw where I had told them I wasn't interested and they would refund my money. I called back to ask about my refund and got another box again. THAT was before I found the charge for $65 and change and still have NO idea what that was even for. I NEVER ORDERED ANYTHING. I looked at what they had to offer and told them NO way. I called and told them to NOT SEND ME ONE THING. They kept doing it anyway. Look at their reviews they do this to lots of folks. My business is an A+ member of the BBB and I know how to conduct business. This if FRAUD and that is all there is to it. One girl I told I was reporting this to the ATTY ********* ****** of ******** affairs and she said she would have someone call me but they have not returned any calls.
I NEVER ORDERED....JUST LOOKED and I canceled over the phone 3 times and finally found a place on their website to cancel but they were told on no uncertain terms. STOP after the first charge and box that they said they were refunding.

On feb 26th 2023 I was a customer of **********************. I was happy up til that point with the weekly deliveries of food, and was in the middle of changing banks. To avoid interruption of service I added a $500 credit to my account. Then the following week, I had a death in the family which required me to travel out of town, and I put my orders on hold until the middle of March. The first order that was supposed to be on hold was held, the next order after that was shipped and I was charged from the $500 credit on my account. At that point since the company refused to acknowledge any error on their part, or rectify the situation I closed my account at which point I was asked how I wanted the credit to be applied to future shipments or refunded. I told them I am done doing business with them and they told me my refund should be processed in a few business days. I have called over a dozen times , the first few being given a woman's name as the only one that can process a refund. After that I was told the owner of the company is the only one that cam process a refund, and now I have yet to receive any form of communication whatsoever. At no point in time did they tell me a refund would be processed. I was told several times a person that was the only one that could process a refund was unavailable, then the next mo th was told the owner was the only one that could process a refund. I don't know why it hasn't been processed yet. They then after 4 months state they were going to process a refund but cannot now because I filed this complaint. Interesting. Eat clean is a food delivery service. In order to look at the menu and decide if you want their food you have to add your credit card. On May 15 I did look at Eat clean and once I added my information including my credit card I decided I did not like their ********** immediately canceled my account. this morning that there was a charge from them on my credit card. I called the number they showed and it was disconnected. I then looked them up on the Internet and got a different number. When I called them to ask them to please remove the charge they told me they could not. That my order was coming on May 31 and that the account was canceled after that . The charge was for $44. I do not see why having a week and a half to cancel the order which hasnt shipped yet could not be done. I did file with my bank to contest the charge. I did leave a message for Manager to call me back. all food delivery services ask for credit card information before you can even look at their meal plans. In all cases where I did decide not to go with the food meal plan I canceled immediately and was immediately not charged. I feel that their practice is fraudulent and if they do tell you, you cant cancel your first order it is not visibly or easily seen in their subscription definitions. Can you please help me? Or at the very least can you file some complaint so that it is visible to other consumers?Business Response

I ordered for the first time and received someone else's order. The invoice shows they have the same last name as me but different first name and complete different state. I have tried calling the customer service line many times and they are rude and either don't answer or completely unhelpful and say they will have someone call back which they never do. I spoke with one person who said they would credit my card back the money and then hung up on me. When I called back to follow up a different person told me they put the money in a "wallet" so I have to order again from then. They said it will be another ten days before they can try to process the money from the wallet and put it back on my original payment as I requested. I have ordered from a bunch of meal service companies and this one seems like a complete scam to me.Business Response

I have subscribed to Eat Clean since October 2022. I have been trying to cancel my subscription since December 2022 and have received no response. To cancel your subscription, you need to email and call their support line. They have not responding to ANY of my emails asking to cancel my subscription. I am ignored weekly. I also call every week and am sent to voice mail during working hours, every single time. I am charged $125 four times a week from this business. I am being charged $500 a month without my consent. The website does not let you cancel the subscription online. Can you please help put this fraudulent business to an end?Business Response
