I'm a new member for home title lock and when I subscribed I hit the annual option instead of the monthy option. I emailed and the next day I received an email back from ***** who changed it for me. He even downloaded the receipt for me to show me it is changed, so far so good.

The commercials for home title lock are teaching people how easy it is to steal home titles. That's a disgusting practice that puts homeowners at risk. Are they hoping to get more titles stolen to drum up business? I don't recommend companies who spread fear& give directions how to easily rip ppl off.

We understand your concern. Our intention is never to provide a how-to for criminals, nor to create unnecessary fear. Unfortunately, deed fraud is a real and documented crime that homeowners across the country have faced. The purpose of our commercials is to raise awareness of this risk and explain how forged documents can affect property owners, not to encourage wrongdoing.

Home Title Lock does not and cannot stop county offices from recording documentsthat process is governed by law. What we do is monitor those filings, alert the homeowner urgently if something is recorded, and guide them through the process of restoring their title should fraud occur.

We respect your feedback and will continue working to ensure our message is educational and focused on protecting homeowners, not alarming them.

I applied for FREE TRIAL but they charged me anyway. I sent email to REFUND FREE TRIAL price and CANCEL service. They responded that I was supposed to enter a coupon code for the free trial. The refunded the free trial. And for the next 3 months, charged full price each month for the service I requested cancelled. Ironic a ***** PREVENTION service commits *****! They were quick to respond via email about trial refund and NO RESPONSE days later about 3 monthly charges! I hope they agree to on camera interview this story is making a local TV news channel.

    Hi ****!

I went ahead and looked into this for you and the notes I'm seeing directly from our **************** Manager are that, as you said, there was no coupon code entered at the time of signup, so they refunded you for the initial month you were charged and set up your subscription to start after the free trial period was completed. Unfortunately, I don't see notes here about requesting cancellation until about 5 days ago, and our team is not able to re-start a subscription without the permission of the Customer, so it must have been a misunderstanding about what you wanted (free trial period v. complete cancellation). I apologize for the inconvenience, but I assure you that it was not a fraud attempt, likely just a misunderstanding.

I can pull the original email, and if you ended up talking on the phone I can request the phone call log and recording to ensure that the cancellation was requested and that our team is responding appropriate to Customer requests.

I was concerned about my ************ possibly stealing our title because she had stolen a large amount of money from the family business when my ************** died. She works as a title clerk for over 30 years and we were very concerned. The young man who assisted me assured me that they will keep a close eye on our home title and made some recommendations about another issue we were investigating. We feel a sense of peace now.

    Hi *****!

That's a very real concern, especially since family members/people close to you are a very substantial portion of the people who are committing these crimes, let alone someone that's very familiar with the title process. We are very happy to be providing you with our protection AND peace of mind! Welcome to the Home Title Lock family!

I signed up 25 properties in January of 2025, most were vacant land.April 17 2025 I received 5 properties from my dad's estate of which were part of the 25 properties that are signed up for home title lock, on approx may 14 2025 I then transferred those 5 properties to my LLC.I never received a single alert from home title lock, although they did send 2 alerts for transfers back several years ago, in 2018.The ironic thing is I also have these properties signed up for fraud alert through our county and they sent me notifications every time.I have called twice and emailed once and am very close to cancelling all coverage. If I can transfer twice in a 60 day period and not get any notifications, so much for 24-7 monitoring, and that's what is advertised. Thanks **** from ********

Hi ****! I have your account up right now and I'm looking into this/reviewing the notes. I do see that it's in research, so I've contacted the research team to get a current status update. And my sincerest apologies that they haven't been keeping you up to date on their findings. We don't like people being in the dark and I'm working with our operations manager to ensure that our processes include keeping our subscribers in research up to date.

I got what I paid for but had to unsubscribe because I couldn't maintain the subscription -- I was broke at the time. They did detect the new ownership of a house that I did sell. When Home Title Lock confirmed the cancellation, their e-mail sounded like a chain letter warning me of dire consequences if I didn't re-subscribe.

    Hi ****!

I'm glad that you found our services satisfactory!

I'd love to learn a little more about your experience with the cancellation email -- our goal when crafting these emails is to be as concise as possible: now that you have cancelled your services, your property is no longer covered with our ************************************* services, and if it was a mistake, to call us and have it restored (the body of the email is 3 sentences long). However, I'd love to know how we can improve it if it's coming off "chain letter"-y. Thanks so much for your help!

I recently started to get numerous calls from "collection firms" that would repeat my social security number, date of birth, home address and other sensitive information to me while telling me they were filing a lien against my home. None of these debts were mine or on my credit reports which I have been watching closely since 2015. When I was advised by an attorney I work for to get Home Title Lock to be sure that no mortgages or loans would be taken out without my knowledge, I jumped to action. Within 24 hours I was able to breathe again since I got my title search back showing that nothing has happened thereon since I bought this home. Definitely suggest this service if you find yourself a victim of a data breach so severe.
