On June 9th I went in to Aspen Dental on *********** to see the surgeon for wisdom teeth removal. On visit after waiting in the lobby I was informed they would not be doing the surgery for fear of complications and they would refund the money to the loan company they had me finance with. I have called for several weeks until July 10th when finally the manager of the location called to tell me they submitted the refund request to the district manager. As of today July 20th I have made multiple payment to the loan company as it has still not been issued. When I call they say they are working on it but it has far exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the refund. The total that is supposed to be refunded for not rendering service is *******. I have tried calling the national line and was told this had to be handled by that specific office off *********** in ***********. any assistance in getting this handled would be appreciated.Business Response

I paid for and received dentures upper and partial lower. I paid $6034.60 for them at fitting of lowers as what was told to me to be the final price. When getting lowers fitted they say dentist did extra work filling. I was lead to believe this was part of the price. I have returned to have dentures fixed 2x. Now they say I owe ****** and won't fix my dentures.Business Response

I had my teeth pulled and a full denture made for the top and a partial made for the bottom the week after Easter. The top never fit right and I have complained multiple times about since my initial visit. I would choke with them in because they are too big and they have caused me constant pain and eating solid food has become nearly impossible since April. I went yesterday again to see if they would finally fix the issue. They had made new dentures, but they still did not fit . They said they would send them out to be remade but just went in the back to try and reshape them. still not right but the dentist said they were fine, and it was my problem. when I complained again and asked for my money back, they kept the old and new sets even though the old set has been paid for since April and they threw me out. now i have no teeth except for what wasn't pulled on the bottom.Business Response

On January 28, 2025, I had a 2pm appointment to establish care and address a ************** After reading the x-rays, Dr. ******* came into the room and announced I have periodontitis disease and a cavity. This diagnosis was made without gum recession measurement being taken. Dr. ******* prepared my ************* for a permanent crown, which took 3 hours (from 2pm until 5pm.) He was seeing other patients during my appointment.Dr. ******* cut the inside of my cheek with the drill. He also pulled and pinched my cheek to such an extreme that I had a bruised, swollen cheek for 2 weeks. I shared pictures of my swollen cheek with the office manager and expressed dissatisfaction with the care from Dr. ******** On February 4th I received the first of two periodontal cleanings for periodontal disease, with a hygienist who was an hour from my home.On February 10th I received the second periodontal cleaning also an hour away at the ****** location. I asked the hygienist how many teeth were at a level 5 recession. She stated I had 11 teeth at level 5.February 21st the permanent crown was placed by Dr. ******** and I refused him doing any additional work on my ******** insurance would not pay for this service, so the office manager acquired CareCredit coverage to pay for the procedures I had been told was required. The total bill was $3,604.00.The periodontal cleaning expense was $1,797, which was unnecessary. On June 17th I established dental care with a different provider. Aspen Dental forwarded the x-rays to this provider. The provider and her assistant completed the gum recession measurements. My gums were at a healthy level of 1-3. Thus, I do not have periodontal disease or a ********* summary, I must pay for unnecessary expenses based on a wrong diagnosis by Dr. ******** Therefore, I am requesting a refund to the CareCredit card for the periodontal cleanings in the amount of $1,797. I have pictures of my cheek and face, which will be provided upon request.Business Response

I received a call from a collection agency today regarding a bill from 2023 with Aspen Dental. I did have services performed at the local Aspen Dental clinic and paid my bill in full at the end of each visit. I made an appointment for more services and they told me how much it would cost and I asked why is was so much more than the previous services and they said because you have a balance and I said no I pay for each visit when I leave so it's not possible , after 30 minutes of two staff staring at a computer screen and ignoring my request to show why there was a balance I left and never returned. I never received any bill or statements and when I called their billing office they verified that I had not received anything in nearly two years. I have asked the collection agency for an itemized bill and have bank statements with my payments.Business Response

I am an 82 year old veteran and I am the full time caretaker for my wife who suffers from dementia. It is difficult for me to get someone to care for her while I go to an appointment. I had been to Aspen Dental over 2 years prior and had the complete series of exams for new patients. I called weeks ago and asked to schedule an appointment for cleaning my teeth. I arranged for my daughter to care for my wife that day. She had to re-arrange her work at her job. I received four or five appointment reminders for the cleaning appointment and verified the appointment multiple times. This morning I received around the 6th verification request via a phone call. During this call the man said I would have a comprehensive exam and they would come up with a complete care plan. I said during all this they are going to clean my teeth right? He said NO the hygienists were all booked up. I would have to book another appointment for that. This was right after he had told me a hygienist would be involved in my new patient exam! So for about three weeks I had been making arrangements to be there for a dental cleaning 2 days from now and now Aspen Dental is doing a bait and switch routine on me. It appears all they want to do is come up with a complicated care plan contract to scam you with. They didnt give a **** about the trouble I went through to get care for my wife for day of the appointment, my need for a dental cleaning, or misleading me for weeks! Aspen Dental basically scammed me! They should be fined or shut down.Business Response

Aspen Dental talked me into an extensive series of operations to provide false teeth. They indicated that the cost would be about $11,000 and they have a way in providing financing through *************. After a few months I told them that I changed my mind on the operations (ref letter) and would like to receive a credit for the money that was paid on the account. Approximately $600.00 was paid to the Bank which showed up as a credit to me (-$590). I asked the bank to return the money since I did not receive any of the operations. I then received a notice the balance was zero. At that point I assumed that I had a credit with Aspen Dental. When I arrived for my regular checkup and cleaning, I was told that I had no credit and that all my previous insurance coverage was no longer available. I asked for an accounting for the account and I was told it was not available. In my world, the bank originally indicated that I had a credit that disappeared in Aspen Dental world with no clear accounting for my money.Business Response

My Aetna ******** FL Explorer Premier (PPO) Advantage Plan, H5521-438 told me that Aspen Dental at ********************************* is in-network for my plan and near my home. On 4/22/2025 I went there because an old crown of mine had come off. They took my insurance card and said I was in network with them. They ended up recementing my existing crown that I brought with me. Code D2920. They told me that my insurance did not cover all of this procedure code and charged me $82.88 which I paid with my credit card. The receipt for this payment states that I paid Aspen Nokomis FL 3183. When I looked online at the Aetna EOB earlier this month, I discovered that an insurance claim for this service had been billed by and paid to R Dustin Dixon DMD Holdings, PLLC. According to the Aetna EOB, I was not responsible for and should not have been asked to pay anything. I called Aetna and together we called the phone number on the receipt which we thought was the billing department at the ******* location. It was the billing department at R Dustin Dixon DMD Holdings, PLLC. The 3 way connection was not clear (the Aetna *** is in the ***********??), so I didn't get the gentleman's name at the holding company, but he informed the ***** ***resentative and I that he could not help us get a refund back to my credit card, even though he works for the owner of the ******* location. He said I had to go back to the Aspen Nokomis FL 3183 location to try and get a refund from them, then he hung up. I find it fraudulent that two apparently different entities have been paid for the same service. I am a senior citizen and just want my money back. And I hope I can warn other seniors not to get scammed like I did. I have filed a complaint with ***** but i doubt that it will go anywhere since it is not their money and it won't get my money back. Thank you for any help you can provide.Business Response

I had a 9:00 AM appointment and was told when I scheduled it that if the hygienist had time after my X-rays, they would fit me in for a cleaning. Two hours later, I was still waitingno doctor had seen me, and no cleaning had been done. I had been sitting so long that my tailbone began to hurt. I eventually had to walk out without being seen and go home to take something for the pain.I am writing to express my frustration regarding my recent experience at the Aspen Dental office in *****, *******. I had an appointment scheduled for May 8th at 9 AM, and upon arrival, I underwent X-rays because the office could not retrieve my previous records from the *********** location.Unfortunately, after waiting for two hours without being seen, I had to leave due to discomfort of my tailbone hurting and a looming work commitment at noon. This experience felt like a significant waste of my time. Immediately after leaving, I scheduled an appointment at the *********** location, where I was finally seen on May 20th. However, I was informed of an $85 balance from the Ocala visit. When I contacted the ************ and spoke to the office manager, I found her demeanor unhelpful and rude. I explained that I did not believe I should be charged for a visit where I received no treatment or service. I also reached out to the corporate office for assistance, but they informed me that the office manager ultimately has the authority to adjust payments, and since she was unwilling to help, there was little they could do.Reluctantly, I paid the $85 to ensure I could be seen in ***********, as I had traveled a long distance for my appointment. Given the circumstances, I would greatly appreciate a credit for this amount, as I remain dissatisfied with how the ************ operates.Business Response
