Responding to the complaint we received from BBB regarding Focus Financial Services, **** FFS has been in operation for over ************************************************************************************************************* good standings.
On 3/11/20,Qadir Plaisir had services at **********************. At the time of services,************** provided his ******* drivers as identification. ********************** said that he was a passenger of a vehicle in an accident, No health or auto insurance given or on file. On 3/20/20 a voice message was left on the phone number on file for a return call. There were three Questionnaire mailed out to ********************** that was not return to the ******************* On 5/13/20 ************* spoke with ****************** and he said his mom, Joncae will call back and handle this account. The original and outstanding balance is $1674.42.
After our thorough review of this account, we are confident of the correct party and the correct balance that are still owed.

I am writing to file a complaint regarding the validation of a debt on my consumer credit report. Despite multiple attempts to seek proof of validation, your company has failed to provide any evidence regarding a debt that does not belong to me. Furthermore, you have furnished this alleged debt on my consumer report and failed to validate the claim pursuant to Sec. 809(b) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.As a consumer, I have a right to privacy and protection from inaccurate reporting on my credit report. Your company's actions have not only violated my right to privacy but also the permissible purpose of providing accurate information to consumer reporting agencies. According to 609(a)(1)(A), you are required by federal law to verify, through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract, any and all accounts that you post on a credit report.I demand that this item be removed from my credit report immediately as it is furnishing inaccurate and incorrect information to the consumer reporting agencies. The reporting of such inaccurate information has caused severe damage to my character, my reputation, my general mode of living, and my ability to obtain credit for personal and house purposes. Your inaccurate reporting has also damaged my livelihood.According to 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 - Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies, furnishers have a duty to provide accurate information. A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate.The *** clearly defines a charge off as Gross or Ordinary income, INCOME DOES NOT GET REPORTED ON THE CONSUMER REPORT which in fact makes your reporting of this account inaccurate! Dear **** ****** and BBB,
Responding to the complaint we received from the BBB regarding Focus Financial Services, Inc. FFS has been in operation for over ************************************************************************************************************ good standings.
On 11/28/28, **** ****** has services at **********************. At the time of service, Mr ****** provided his ******* drivers license as identification and his Avmed health insurance card for coverage. Both were scanned into the system. The original balance was $5,360.00. The bill was processed by Avmed and after Avmed paid Mr ****** was left was a $150 responsibility. This unpaid $150 amount was then placed with Focus Financial Services on 06/12/23. On 06/17/23, the validation notice was mailed to Mr ******************* On 07/06/23, Focus Financial Services received a certified letter; the same as this CFPB complaint. The account has been notated as a dispute,cease and desist, and an itemized bill was mailed to Mr ****** in response to his dispute.

I dont have any knowledge about this account, ********************************************* Service opened this account duplicate, same acc. Number, same amount charged, same date, TWICE , duplicate on my report. Please check accuracy, signed paperwork by me and check for old accounts with different names that has been settled and removed from my report. This account is fraudulent and duplicate with different dates of when it will be deleted from my account. How doesnt FRAC check accuracy or credibility of these fraudulent accounts? I really hope that the BBB can check and end this illegal creditors companies from ruining peoples lives and mental health. Im trying to fix my credit, please apprehend any illegal fraudulent charges and help people like me on having a chance to move on. Thank you ??Business Response

Danielly Verity had services on 01/17/18 and then again on 02/02/18 at **********************. **************** provided her ******* drivers license as identification, and it was scanned into the system. The first date of service 01/17/18 had a total charge of $1,118.99. She provided her ******************** which applied $950.00 to her deductible. The second date of service on 02/02/18 had a total charge of $950.99. **************** processed her claim she was left with another $950 deductible. The remaining balance after ********** for the two bills was $1,900. This went unpaid and on 08/13/18 both accounts were placed with Focus Financial Services. On 08/23/18 the validation notice for the two accounts was mailed to ***************** Efforts to communicate with **************** were unsuccessful with additional letters and phone calls made. The accounts were credit reported and as of today both accounts remain unpaid. This BBB has been the only communication Focus Financial Services has had with *****************

Responding to the complaint we received from the BBB regarding Focus Financial Services, Inc. FFS has been in operation for over ************************************************************************************************************ good standings.
On 07/21/18, ****************************** had services at **********************. At the time of services, ****************************** provided her ******* Drivers License as identification, and it was scanned into the system. The total charge of the service was $4,766.69. ************ did not have insurance coverage to pay the bill. ************ qualified her for discount, and this resulted in her owing the reduced amount of $500. ************ was unsuccessful in working out a resolution for the owing balance. On 08/20/19, this same $500 owing amount was placed with Focus Financial Services. The next day on 08/21/19 Focus Financial Services mailed ************ the validation notice. The only conversation we had with ************ was on 02/24/20, when ************ called our office back, close to four hours after we called her and a man answered her line and hung up. Our conversation with ************ amounted to her not having any money at the time to pay or make payments. She said her situation might change in 30 days. We called her a total of 3 times and mailed a total of 3 letters over the last almost 4 years. The balance today is $500. We are not sure how she can claim we are haggling her for money every month? We have documented her dispute and in response we do mail an itemized bill for her records and for her review. This complaint also included a 7 page checking account statement. This statement does not show any payments being made to ****************** nor Focus Financial Services, so why was it included, we are not sure? The account is ********************** reported.
