On June 6th 2024 my sister who was incarcerated was asking for us to put money on her jail phone so that she could call other family members so as both me and my husband was searching on ****** for the *** connect network website to add money to well my husband had found GlobalTel so he thought it was the same so he added my debit card but didn't put in an amount and then the next thing we knew my bank card was charged for ***** and then we both found out that company was not the correct one so we had emailed them asking for a refund and of course git no response so then we called them and of course was told that only ***** was going to be refunded and then the customer ********************** was still trying to get us to use their services even after being told that their services would not work for us then it has been a week and called them again and was told that it would take another 7 to 10 business days for the refund of ***** would be back in our bank so I just want to make people aware that this internet site is scamming people and that if you are looking for *** connect network that this is not the right place and they refuse to give you a full refundBusiness Response

The transaction happened on 5/09/2024. It was advertised as a prepaid calling account for incarcerated family members. But it is not. When I called to get a refund they wouldn't allow me a full refund saying there was a $14.99 credit card processing fee. I never used their service and just wanted a refund. This is an unauthorized charge as my debit card was stolen and account was hacked. I have emailed the business on several occasions with police reports and also informed them that I didnt authorize this charge it was not me who set up an account and proceeded with their services. This was all fraudulent and I have asked the business to refund me my money that was stolen without my consent for a service they provide. As I have told them over and over again my next step is filing fraudulent charges with my bank and getting ready to start a lawsuit on this company. Shortly after resolving the complaint the company refunded me the 45.99$ on 3/27 today I check my card statement on 3/28 and they charged my card again for 45.99$ intentionally after processing the refund illegally. I did not authorize this they committed fraud by taking my card information and going behind my back without my knowledge and recharging my card shortly after resolving this issue with BBB.Business Response

On March 5th 2024 I googled how to find an inmates commissary account . **************** popped up on my search, I went to their website & was immediately prompted to sign up by making an account . I added all of my information & was prompted to add my card info which I did thinking this was for keeping my card on file for my new account (I was not informed of any charges or asked approval) to access inmates commissary. After entering my information I hit continue at the bottom to be taken to the next page . I immediately received a notification through my bank for a charge in the amount of $49.99 from this company . I went back to the page again to see how I missed approval for this charge or what this charge was even for & found nothing . I immediately emailed this company with no response , I sent two more emails & still nothing . I called customer ********************** multiple times with no answer . I finally spoke with an agent on 3/12 & explained how misleading their page was, I have no use for their service (apparently this $45.99 is for discounted inmate phone calls) I requested a full refund . She told me they would refund $30.00 but not the full amount . I told her I was contacting ************************** said now youre not getting any refund, we will wait for BBB or your bank to contact us ************ is SCAMMING people out of their money .Business Response

Misleading information as.the company falsely provides jail calling service. You think it's the very similar company Globtel link which is in fact.a jail calling service and once u sign up thinking your just gonna add funds they automatically charge you ***** and you still have to register with a jail calling service that still charges for the call just as it normally would. Once.u realize this and contact them they refuse to refund your money and it clearly states on the home page if you have any trouble they will refund u the whole amount pain for service. They tell u they will review the claim.but not to contact your bank because they know nothing about the review. Whem u do speak to them they refuse to refund the whole amount and charge u a ***** fee just because they mislead you. Bad bad business and very misleading as to what your actually signing up for...as.they name.clearly states global tel..with out link. I'm satisfied with full refund if they actually hold true and refund me the other ***** that they refused to offer in the first place...but I would also like to ask for them to at least not advertise false information...for example on the sign up page it list the name of the ceo and an email directly to him which intentionally blocks any emails from being sent and in return you get an error response. It's misleading and inappropriate.
