    On Oct. 23, 2023, I paid Check My References $56.90 to conduct a professional reference check on my behalf. Since then I've received a receipt and nothing else. My emails have remained unanswered and every time I've called their toll-free number, my call has been routed to voicemail no matter the option I've chosen. I'm beginning to suspect that this business is nothing more than a scam. I noticed on BBB's website that they've been reported twice before and received a grade of 'F.' I should have checked with BBB first before spending any of my money. At this point, I'm seeking a refund. Thank you.

    I placed an order to have 7 references checked. After 2 weeks I had heard nothing. I emailed-no response. I called, wasn't able to speak with anyone and so left a voicemail.It is despicable that this business is scamming vulnerable people just trying to improve their lives. I would like an immediate refund. I will proceed to file a fraud complaint with the government as it's clear that this company is not and has never been legitimate.Shame on you-refund my money immediately.

    Paid for this business to check one reference for me. They contacted me once to let me know the status of the reference check and has since not responded to any of my requests for an update or refund. Original order was placed on August 16, 2023.

    This business is a scam. They took my money, & never reached out to me despite me emailing & calling them. I want a refund.

    i purchased the service " Check my References" online via the Check my Reference Website in January 2023 . I paid them $29.90 and then a "*******************" contacted me and said she was working on it. After a month with no correspondence from them or her, I contacted her and asked her how it was going. I received a response that she had been trying to get my reference with no success and she asked me if I wanted a refund. I then said yes... please refund me. Then there was no response again and after several messages I still haven't received my product nor a refund. I have attached messages etc. This is a sampling of the messages I exchanged with *******************. There are more. I also went on the Check My References website and wrote the customer service department and asked for a refund to no avail.

    My order was placed on April 27. I have received nothing and no one responds to my inquiries. I feel like I have been scammed.

    On 6/14/23 I paid ***** to checkmyreferences.com and fill out the online form to have my previous employer called as I was not getting interviews and needed the information to know how to proceed. A week later I hadnt been contacted. I called and left a voicemail, still nothing. The company states when you place your order that someone will contact you shortly. This is time sensitive, because I did not think I should continue with my job search until I knew what was being said by my previous employer and whether damage control was warranted. I want a refund asap!

    On April 27, 2023, I placed an order for a reference check (order #****). I called the number provided and spoke with ***** who identified himself as one of the owners before I made the purchase to find out what the process of doing business with this company entailed. I was told the steps and then proceeded to make the online purchase. Since that time I have been given a host of excuses and still as of June 12, 2023 have not received the reference and has asked for a refund on more than one occasion. The representative that I has been responding is named ****** ************************************ who would only email to say she is making contact or to complete a form which I did and back in May. This company has not provided the item that was paid for and this is considered fraud. I would like a full refund from this company and would greatly appreciate your assistance in getting this resolved. Thank you

    On March 20, 2023 I ordered the Executive Reference Check for $69. Besides receiving my confirmation email for the order I did not receive any contact, so I called on March 23rd to ask how long before someone contacts me. The gentleman on the phone advised a counseler will reach out directly soon. On March 24th- ****p I received introduction message from ****** my counselor, explaining she will reach out to my previous employer and keep me updated if there is a delay. I responded immediately to this message with specific instruction regarding the phone numbers provided. March 24th at **** I received anohter message from ****** that she attempted to call and left a message, but did not aknowledge receipt or respond to my instruction regarding the phone #s. Next msg received on March 30th - ****** updating me she has left a "few"more messages and will continue to contact. April 3rd- msg ****** attempted to contact- I responded same day to ask how many attempts had been made No response until April 11th -****** advises 4 attempts had been made to date, and no return calls. Asks if I would like her to contact HR ***** I respond I have no concern w/ HR **** following strict policy, and ask if it is possible to switch the reference to different employer. This was last time hearing from ******. I sent follow up emails April 18th, April 27th, and May 5th- With that message reading ****** will you please respond? I called the customer service line May 5th which makes you state your name before ringing extension- they did not answer and have not returned my call- I left a voicemail. Attempted to call again this morning and they chose not to answer again. Left message, but realize this buisness is "ghosting" me. I am filing this complaint to receive refund from the company and not have to open a dispute with my Credit Card. ************* description states they keep contacting until they get your reference- well here I am 2 months later & 4 attempts total made.
